Hi guys I recently got back from Bangkok, I went to visit 3 massage shops  . It was the first time for me so was very different . First stop was

Hero nice set up good range of guys, mostly straight guys , I did arrive a bit late as some guys had already gone but still a good variety. facilities are nice and rooms have showers, was a nice guy friendly and an ok massage.

Where I stayed:

W Hotel Bangkok. Booked a Wonderful Room, got upgraded to a Spectacular Room. Room rate: from THB 5200++  (SGD $220++)

 

The hotel is quite nice but a bit over priced. I usually stay at Le Meridien on Surawong Road and it's more convenient for clubbing, bars and massage places along the Silom area. But W is right next to Chong Nonsi BTS station, whereas Le Meridien is 10 min walk in the heat to Sala Daend BTS station.

Pool Party:

The W Hotel organized a pool party on Sunday after from 2PM till 7PM. They charge THB 950 for a cup of champagne and 2 glasses of mojitos or THB 1450 for free flow of mojitos and 1 cup of champagne. It was a great party, and not just gay, as opposed to the pool party at the Sofitel So, kinda organized for gays only... But of course, there were so many of us staying at the W Hotel and bringing all our friends that the party ended up being 70% gay It was fun, great music with live DJs and fun people and staff.

Water splashing:

Songkran is of course known for its water splashing activities. The main one here took place on Silom Road. They basically block a huge portion of that road during the entire afternoon and evening, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. As you can see, it's chaos and fun. People just splash water at you or shoot at you with their water guns. I bought a huge one so that I could shoot further away hehe (who said size doesn't matter?). That gun cost me THB 500 but you can find small ones for about THB 200. Refills all over the place. 3 bottles of 500ml each for THB 20. I swear, it's a lot of fun and you feel like you're a kid again!

The only less fun part is this white thing that they smudge on your face. Feels like clay and it's a tradition to put it on people's faces. However, some are a bit overwhelmed and you end up with this thing all over your hair, sometimes in your eyes... mouth... bleh!

Don't go if you don't like huge crowds, getting wet or dirty haha.

The most "interesting" part is of course right outside Burger King, right next to the Soi where DJ Station is. All gays, shirtless, shooting at other hot guys hehe.

 

Circuit parties/clubbing:

Of course, there were big parties as well. Organized by gCircuit, this was their 7th edition already. It's basically a circuit party with lots of fit muscled guys (there are others too of course but those are the ones that attracted my eyes lol), electro music. Venues were too small though, it was so hot inside... bleh. Friday and Saturday were held at ZEN @Central World and the final party Sunday night was held at the Renaissance Hotel. Expensive parties (around THB 2000 for tickets, no drinks included, THB 100 for soda, THB 250 for alcohol).

I did not go to DJ Station or G.O.D. I went last year and it's just too packed. Not fun to be squeezed like sardines. Lots of pickpockets as well... beware. My friends lost some money and some phones there.

 

 

Others:

I wanted to go for massages, clean ones, without hanky panky and my favorite is usually Health Land but they were so busy that weekend that walk-ins had almost zero chance to get a spot there... Rates are THB 250 for one hour Thai massage and THB 450 for 2 hours. It's very cheap and the aunties there are really really skilled.

My friends went to Chakran and Babylon (both are saunas, for those who did not know) and they said it was super crowded and both had foam parties.

 

All in all, it was fun, as usual. I will return next year for sure but I might skip the circuit parties. It's just not my thing anymore and way too expensive.

Two hours traditional Thai massage 560 baht (30% opening discount, usual 400 baht per hour), really solid... Try their sauna and (see thru flooring) roof terrace as well...

The owner is a retired HK guy, very friendly...

Just returned SG from Pattaya and Bangkok. Been to boyz town, jomtien complex and sunnee complex in Pattaya. Not much to see in these gay venues but lots of cute young boys only.

Near Asoke/Sukhumvit.  Take the Skytrain to Asoke or the MRT to Sukhumvit, go down Soi 19 and it is down a side-street on the right.  As you walk along Soi 19 you will see a sign pointing down the sub-soi (which is not long) to Guy Spa.  The receptionist will ask you what type of massage you want and what type of masseur (top, btm etc).  I think I paid 700 baht for a one hour massage plus tip.  It was a proper room - not a portioned cubicle - and there was a shower in the room.
