I have to agree I didn't like hero coz there were too many guys looking at u it became kind of awkward... For guys spa they have the pics of the guys online so u can already choose who u want... Maybe I chose the wrong person but really didn't like the guy in hero who massaged me.

Well actually I've only had bad surprises with those picture catalogs and other website pictures... they never look the same.... At least with Hero (and Senso), you have them in front of you in the flesh. Of course it's awkward... but then again.... we're not their first customer?.... plus the massage for my only visit at Hero was surprisingly good!

I think it's fated I go to Bangkok this year after all. I happened to log onto FaceBook earlier tonight when Scoot had just announced the 30-min sale for $1 tickets to Bangkok. So without thinking I went to book it. So now I'll be in Bangkok 13-15 Sep. Since I'm alone I'll probably just spend the time drinking (coffee and alcohol).

$82 for return tickets, Fri outbound and Sun inbound just one week after booking is a deal that's too damn good to say no to in my books.

If you are around Terminal 21, walk to Sukhumvit 23.  There are few massage outlets, just outside Citadines Hotel.

Alternatively, walk along Asok Montri towards Serm Mit Tower.  Along Sukumvit 21 Soi 1, on the left is May Massage (entrance is through the Restaurant Big Mama Pizzeria).  Ahead is the Health Land.

Went Healthland. Just ok. Any place with a decent man massage? Not really looking for happy ending but a decent gay massage.

Along Sukhumvit 23, there are:

01.  Tony Massage - male and female masseurs, gay friendly.

02.  May Massage - male and female masseurs, gay friendly.

For Thai massage, it is Baht 120 and oil is at Baht 250 per hour.

03.  Urban Male - gay massage.  (No comments; never tried before).

(These places are walking distance from Terminal 21 and also Asoke BTS/Sukhumvit MRT)

Did not know good authentic massage places like these existed till introduced by my good friends Gov and Sexy F. Thanks to them both. Well worth a visit.

Affordable enough for a massage for each day you are in Bkk!

Magic hand near to Malaysia hotel has good massage. Oil Plus thai for 600 baht. If you want happy ending also can.

I don't like health land. Think it's over rate. Went to magic hand. Much more comfy and firm than Healthland. Maybe I got a new guy. But not worth the effort.

Stayed at Babylon. The quality is worse than cruise club. Somehow doesn't seems hygienic. Room was ok and simple for a stay. But was abit troublesome to get out etc. 60baht taxi to Silom or MBK area.

Just got back from Bangkok and tried Yunomori Onsen on a Saturday, following what Enelym1978 had written previously, so thought of providing my review on other aspect.

Phone booking and counter area

Based on Enelym's suggestion, I called to book a massage appointment (called at around 2pm). The operator on the other side started with Thai greetings, but I had to use English to book the appointment, and to my surprised the guy switched to English immediately and he spoke perfect English. He sure left me a good impression, but the massage appointment was at 8pm earliest, no choice but to take it. He also suggested that I could go 1 to 1.5 hour earlier to use the Onsen.

When I reached there at around 6.15pm, there was a long queue for lockers, which caught me by surprise. I spoke to one of the guys at the counter, which I recognised him as the one on the phone earlier, he looked kind of cute (please, this is subjective ah) and he was sincere and polite, leaving me with very good impression again. While waiting, I heard him speaking to his male colleague in Mandarin, and Thai female colleagues in Thai. In addition, I believe I heard him speaking to some customers in Cantonese and Japanese, I was certainly mesmerised by him (I suspect he is Taiwanese) as he sure could speak multiple languages...

I finally got a locker at around 7pm (45 minutes of waiting time).

Lucky dip (newly added today, 10 Sep 2013 - 7.25pm)

Please refer to the new post below for this newly added entry...

Onsen

Very much as Enelym had reported (you could read it here) so won't repeat it, and I did see some not bad looking and also quite fit guys there. However, unlike Taipei hotspring, most used the small towels to cover their privates, so were the few Caucasians. I followed as I sure don't want to attract unnecessary attention, haha... Oh, there were daddies with their boys too, just so that you know - a straight place with some cruising encountered, haha...

Massage

I took the set 4 package in the menu costing 1500baht for 1.5 hours Aroma Therapy Body Massage with 30-minute Thai Herbal Compress, that also comes with the usage of the Onsen. It was well worth the price paid. The massage was good, definitely. Though I chose a male masseur (not a female one), he wasn't good looking, so I didn't bother asking for his name, haha...

You would need to wear yukata with your undies to go to the counter area for massage appointment, where the masseur would bring you upstairs - there are many massage rooms at level 2, really a big place, and I suppose all individual rooms come with attached showers, as the room I went have one. In the room, the masseur would pass me a disposal underwear to put on. Everything went on smoothly until the end, the masseur didn't tell me what to do (if I'm suppose to take a shower), and left the room. I looked around but there was no fresh towel for use. I got a little frustrated and I just changed back to yukata and went out to see the masseur waiting outside...   *tsk*

He lead me downstairs to fill in the survey/feedback form thereafter, then I went back to the Onsen area to clean up an shower, haha...

Personal rating

As Enelym had said, the Onsen area should have more resting area, but otherwise is still fine. I would go back again for the Onsen and massage, still good nonetheless.

I am giving it 8.5 out of 10.

(If not for the 45 minutes waiting time for locker and the masseur's lack of communication at the end of massage, it would a 10/10)

=================================================

Thought of also trying out fbttop's review on Sky Onsen (you can read it here, since he gave a 8/10) the following day after trying Yunomori Onsen.

Due to time constraint, reached the place around noon, and the place is empty. Like fbttop said, it is totally open concept and I doubt anyone would go nude (unless you are an exhibitionist) as the buildings around could see you. The attendant was there to serve you drink, fruits and dessert. There is one hot pool, one cold pool, one steam room and one hot sauna room.

Though I know don't what fbttop likes about the place, I wouldn't return and my personal rating would be 4/10 - comparing with Yunomori Onsen.

Pardon me, guess I was too engrossed describing the counter guy that I forgotten about the lucky dip, until I finished unpacking to see the lucky dip vouchers.

Lucky dip

After getting the locker key and made payment of 1500baht, I was told to pick 3 lucky dip papers from a box (I am guessing one lucky dip paper for every 500baht spent) and "won" two 10% discount vouchers for next visit, and one 500baht cash voucher for "Binomori Aesthetic" (I suppose it is for facial use at the other side of the Yunomori Onsen). The lady at the counter told me is valid for 2 months, but the papers did not indicate any expiry date, so probably it doesn't matter?

Anyway, don't think I would be going back any time soon, if anyone needs the voucher, let me know through PM...

This is the worst go-go/show bar in Bangkok - the guys are far from in good-shape, and the show is tired and boring.  If you really must go to this type of bar Jupiter and DreamBoyz are both much better.

Just back from a weekend trip to Bangkok, after the first one in May 2013.

The first one was a 5D4N with 4 days in BKK.This time is a 4D3N trip with 3 days in BKK.

The last day for both trip was on travel only and did not do any other stuff.

As these were mainly planned as a sauna hopping trip, went to 5 in the first trip - Babylon, Heaven Sauna, Chakran, Men Factory Sauna and 39 Underground. On the second trip went to 4 - Heaven sauna, Sauna Mania, Bangkok10 and Babylon.

Other activities include day trips to the outskirts of BKK and food.

Doing a review of all these saunas would be too tedious. I will do a ranking instead. This is mainly my preference. Could differ from others. So just take it as a guide. If anyone has specific query, can post here or pm me.

Ambience:

1. Babylon

2. Chakran

3. Sauna Mania

4. Heaven Sauna

5. Bangkok10

6. 39 Underground

7. Men Factory Sauna

Crowd (in terms of quantity):

1. Sauna Mania - visited on a Sat night - small towel nite

2. 39 Underground - Monday evening till night - naked nite

3. Babylon - visited on Saturday (in May) and Sunday (in September)

4. Heaven - afternoon weekends

5. Chakran - Sunday night

6. Bangkok10 - afternoon till evening Sat - skin nite

7. Men Factory sauna - saturday evening.

Quality (my preference is stocky/muscular/slight chub type local):

1. Sauna Mania

2. Heaven Sauna

3. Chakran

4. Bangkok10

5. Babylon

6. 39 Underground

7. Men Factory Sauna

Overall:

1. Sauna Mania

2. Heaven Sauna

3. Babylon

4. 39 Underground

5. Bangkok10

6. Chakran

7. Men Factory Sauna

Strongly recommend: Sauna Mania (for fit, muscular type) and Heaven Sauna (for chubs and bears)

Highly discouraged: Men Factory Sauna

And btw, when back in the plane on 16 September 2013, saw a 'juicy' stocky guy wearing red horizontal stripe t-shirt and blue bermuda. And when he reached up to put the bag in the overhead compartment can see that he has a tattoo in the hip area. Very 'delicious'.

was in babylon, and found the quality to be worse than keybox or cruise club of singapore. now they have many tourists coming in groups, china and europe, and become like a market/zoo....

Aiya ... people very funny de la.... like to go to branded places like babylon, Dj , jupiter , dream boy, hero , banana . For me, i prefer go to thai disco like g.star , sake lCK (now change name to Singapore pub). Thai sauna , farose sauna . Bar : classic boy, x.size, x.boy .

Wah. U go to farose somemore. Which one u go? I or iI? I been there once. it is really far from downtown. The whole place look like a haunted mansion and most facilities is not maintain well but it is a big mansion with pool with garden and during weekend it got big cock night (supernatural huge!) 90% is thai and I believe 50% is college student. The crowd is huge during midnight. 200baht for entrance fee and free drink and buffet local thai food.

Due to communication problem. Those thai guy seem like too shy to approached me.

Finally got an young lecturer from chiangmai who can speak minimum english at skin hall. Having fun for almost 2 hour with him. Such a wonderful time with him. I definitely visit him chiangmai coming November. Cant wait.

Enelym78, I am going there next week. What are your recommendations for massages (clean ones)? Thanks.

Ah too bad we're not there at the same time :)

I usually go to Health Land Sukhumvit. You can request for male therapist (I said male, not hot hunky cute or whatever lol). Some of their branches don't have males...

Or Thai Thai Massage on Silom. Not quite sure of the name but it's a place with a green sign... I'll try to look it up when I'm there and post it here. It's more or less at the same location as the Sala Daeng BTS station.

Ruen-Nuad on Soi Convent 42 is nice too. Walk all the way in from Silom, it's after Eat Me, the restaurant.

The one I had was maybe 40+, not sure... and I've never been to the Sathorn branch but I think someone in this thread posted that they do not have male masseurs there...

Things change quickly though, I'm sure turnover is quite high....

Ok thankx for ur info. Im going next sunday. U been to any sauna with mature crowd? Been to heaven before?
