Bangkok ( Thailand ) - Massage / Sauna Compiled)

The massage parlour is Le Spa.

Located at Suan Plu Soi 8, a small shop on the left as you enter from the main Suan Plu, less than 100m.

Very local, B180-600 for their menu.

Their boss is Lek, quote you are recommended by your SG friend and he will knows..

They don't have website, but a customer created a page on Trip Advisor for them.

Open 10am to 12mn, 15 boys working, open every day, including Songkran period.

After massage, check out the neighborhood, very local, cheap and convenient (aka self sustaining).

Babylon is 5mins walk away, ask Lek for direction.

For Nana, try and you know, especially if you are a guy or group of guys... :-)

I tried Le Spa oil massage~ not too bad and it is relatively cheaper compared to those in silom~

But i guess it is a decent place cuz the boys didn't initiate to do anything extra ;)

B300 only for oil massage, what else can you asked for. You gotta initiate, they are trained not to offer.

Basically if you speak to the boss - Lek, and understand his business model, he's for the masses at local pricing.

He's very experienced in the spa business and trained in top massage institution.

Personally I like the neighborhood, very self contained and not touristy.

how much did you pay for a night?

Somewhere that amount but bigger unit, it's was a special deal.

Be warn, generally the shower water pressure is low in BKK high rise condo, nothing of hotel standard. Shower time can be long.

I only know of one staff at this condo who can speak basic English. He's cute looking too... :-)

I usually go to Amari Watergate Hotel 2nd floor, Paul's Fashion... There's a few there as well..

I suspect all the tailors in BKK actually send the measurement to the same factory.

You need to set aside at least 4 days in BKK if you want a good job.

Day one take measurement, Day two fitting test, Day three either fitting test again or collection, have a spare day in case you need to alter / for contingency.

If you have any super favorite shirt or pant

, you can pass to them as sample. But remember to collect back !

Paul's Fashion has a made to measure suit package - jacket , 2 shirts, 2 pants, vest and tie, about S$350.

Not sure if the pricing holds... Check with them for details...

In places like BKK and HK, the problem is normally not with the making - their tailors are experienced. If there is any issue, it would be with the quality of the cloth. Make sure that the colour does and the cloth does not shrink and is not too thin for suits. If you want a suit that does not crease much, the fabric should have some wool content. Not too much though if you are planning for wear in Asia as the suit can be very warm. While cotton is very comfortable to wear, it unfortunately creases quite a bit. Polyester does not crease as much but is not as comfortable to wear as it  does not 'breathe' naturally, the way cotton does. Guys in Taiwan, Japan and Europe normally have Winter and Summer suits, Summer suits being of lighter material or without as much inner lining. Winter weight not needed in Singapore unless one works in a fridge :)

thanks passby and nujun for the recommend

passby, any good places ard silom/sathorn area to stay? u mentioned u booked the condo.where's that and how to book?

Personally I prefer not so touristy place.. I prefer Sathorn over Silom but transport wise, it's mainly walk and taxi..

The condo that I booked was The Seed Mingle, you can find from airbnb..

Try SukoiThai Residence or The Metz as well..

The Seed Mingle and SukoiThai will be more convenient for your daily necessity..and stroll to Babylon...

I will be going to BKK in May and would like to ask if anyone here knows of any good tailors there that make good and nice office wear shirts and pants? Any recommendations?

Go to Siam square or Siam center, they have some good tailors there and it's quite fashionable. Most young Thais will go there to get a suit. But if u wanna get a Japanese style suit, u can go to central world. They have different kind of Japanese suit selling btw, made to order tho.

Hmmm, thanks I tried typing the name under Search, unable to find. Need to type additional info?

On Airbnb, after searching on Bangkok, you will get listings. On this "second page" click on "More Filters".  Page to the very bottom and there is a Keywords field.  Enter "Seed Mingle" and you will get at 4 listings. Sam looks like he might be one of us. You will understand what I mean when you see the listings. :)

If you do rent through Airbnb, please come back and share. Also, not that you will but mainly for the other readers out there, dont trash the place and spoil our name in the market.

I went to the more filters, only Private, Share and whole unit to choose from, but there isn't any blank space for me to enter.

Think you might be using the phone version. Try the web version. :)

I also once booked Hotel Asia and after the booking I told my colleagues about it and then they started to comment that the said hotel was 'haunted' etc etc, but I didn't believe it as the hotel is quite popular with the local families.

Well, after stayed there 2-3 times for the past 3 years, I didn't feel or encounter anything unusual.

In my younger days when I used to stay in budget hotels, Asia was the hotel I returned most often.  Never had any encounters of the third kind.  But there was once I did get the funny feeling someone was watching me - the cute salesman in one of the shops in level 2 and the next thing I knew, he shut his shop and followed me to my room where I got him to strip naked and gave him the blowjob of the century.

Suck my tits and I'll lick your balls.

Lick my arse and I'll suck your cock.

All in sex is fair.

The only bad thing about sex is that it doesn't last long enough.

Will be going bkk with my partner next weekend. Anyone can recommend massage place to visit? Roughly how much is the massage + average tips to give them?

Don't want to spoilt the market nor give too little as well.

Aiyoo justaguy, do you need to come over and use my machine or not? :)

I suspect you left out the space between the words seed and mingle?

https://www.airbnb.com/s/bangkok?keywords=seed+mingle

Haha, no need to trouble you. Anyway thanks for the link

Just teasing you a bit, justaguy.

So, did you stay at an airbnb place in Taiwan and how was it, care to share? Was it tricky for you to get to the place?  I am thinking of doing a Taipei trip and am doing some investigation now.

Thanks.

*ivanguy, yup similar but much simpler - no need passport or NRIC at all, just buy the SIM card directly (airport counter usually is crowded though).

For your information.

Happy - is what we should be, always.

thanks sphere... which one do u recommend? i heard there's dtac, ais and true...

I bought dtac previously (last December), and there was no issue at all.

Like what "-boy86-" mentioned above, I believe the different telcos offer pretty similar SIM pricing, shouldn't that bad.    :)

I always buy this as well.

Better to get from the airport counter because they have all 3 sizes of the SIM card to choose from.

Not sure about now, in 2012, if you buy from city authorised dealers or 7-Eleven, they only carry the normal size SIM. Micro or Nano SIM must go to dtac shops.

I ever kena that airport counter runs out of stock for the SIM card, hence on my latest trip, i ordered online.

If you frequent Thailand, you could extend your SIM card validity for 180 days for 12 baht…
