could anyone enlighten me on how to head over to yunomori spa? i read somewhere that theres motorcycles that bring u there at a cheaper rate is that true from phron pong bts

yeah just get off Phrom Phong station and get a motorbike. Cuz that road is often jammed so a taxi is useless... Just tell them A Square. Or end of Sukhumvit 26, before Rama IV Road.

how much would it cost for the motorbikes ride to A square? will the motorcyclist approach u or how do i identify they are there to fetch people?

You can't miss them, they always rest somewhere at the corner, sleeping or chit chatting. Some will hail you if you look like you're looking for a taxi or direction. Otherwise, just walk to them. They wear either orange or pink sleeveless jackets on top of their normal clothes... You can't miss them.

I think they charge you about 40 baht from there.

For all the Sauna mania lovers out there, the boss has opened another new outlet at Rama 9 call R3 sauna. As i go there quite often, he has invited me so i thought i will share the information. 10 th july is their new opening and its free of charge. He has send me a couple of pictures, look very classy compare to Sauna mania which is already quite run down (although they never fail to attract the quality guys). I don't know how to upload the pics he send me with address and interior photos in this forum. From the map its very near to MRT..like one street away only. I will give a updated field report when i am there next thursday. If you happen to be there this weekend, i think expect Sauna mania to have lesser crowd since they r advertising the new place and i think people will flock there. The decor reminds me of babylon.

It will be a public holiday this Saturday (and also Sunday) in Thailand to celebrate the Arsarah Bucha Day.  I believe these two days are sacred days for most Thais.

Edited:

The public holidays should be Friday and Saturday

Since you have the photo where there is the address, can just type it.

The photo of address is in Thai unfortunately. i have sent it to a couple of forum guys who messaged me and has line. Perhaps u guys who has received my pics and know how to post pic can help to do it here.

Opening night of R3 sauna is not bad..place has 6th story and i see quite a few familiar faces from Sauna mania. The entrance felt like some boutique hotel lobby.

By the way, its only soft launch at the moment. Grand opening should be somewhere in august. I think roughly there was about 50-80 pax on opening night, with a high number of eye candies or good body. This is probably due to invitation by the owner or because its free entrance for opening.

The shower area at fifth floor has a panel of wall with dildos...quite cute. Then on 6th floor roof, they have a few fake trees  with hanging dildos which is really interesting. Gym on 3rd floor has a one way mirror where maze cruiser can see inside. Rooms are quite small but adequate.

To get there, take MRT, not BTS to phram rama 9. Go out from exit one. Its about 5-10mins walk from station. When i am back in Singapore, i will try to post some pics if i can figure out how to do it here to make it easier for you guys to find the place. Any one else who has been there or can give clearer direction..pls feel free to do so.

The place has a lot of potentials since its quite classy and run by Sauna Mania Team. Of all the saunas i have been in Thailand, only Babylon and Chakran is better in terms of scale and renovation.

Once out at Exit 1, which direction to follow? Go with the flow of the traffic or against?  Is the sauna along Ratchadaphisek Road or some Soi?

R3 is quite hard to find. But quite worth it. Huge crowds. Many daddies and bears. Quite mixed crowds. Also many young thai. Nice environment. Liked the towels service.

R3 sauna has a facebook now. For those who has been asking, just go to facebook and search for R3 Sauna. The owner has put the pic of the map to the place on website. The location is not as convenient as Sauna Mania so i think it will take some time before the local crowd picks up. But given some time, i think it will be very popular since prices is only 180 thai bhat, same price as the pretty run down Sauna Mania. R3 decor is very good, a massive upgrade from Mania.

I'll be in Bkk 18-29 July, I'll try to get out and take a look!

By the way, I only know Babylon (many times) and Chakran (a few times) as well as the Paholyothin Cinema :D

As a 45yo white guy in good shape, other than Babylon, where do you think I'd have a decent chance of hooking up? Thanks for any helpful advice.

'will try R33 Sauna tomorrow evening and will share with you how it's like

For those who know only Babylon, you can try Sauna Mania in Soi Piphat-Silom (a bit run down though..) or Chakran near BTS-Ari Station. Both places are heaven for men in good shape or gym-fit

do you all know any aj tiger show? what is the dress code at babylon? they got theme?

There are no 'themes' at Babylon.  The usual dress is the provided towel or a swimsuit.  Underwear is not very usual.  And there are no nude events, so people don't walk around naked.

I was not able to visit this sauna when I was in bkk last wk. But chakran is the best in terms of facilities and guys compared to babylon and sauna mania. :)

When you exit MRT Praram 9 Station, walk along the direction to Tesco-Lotus hypermarket side (not toward the hotel) until you see the wall bordered between Tesco and L&H Building, turn left and walk along the small shortcut alley where motorcycles runs back and forth (smell of drainage trough on the way is quite awful though). You will the first small exit/entrance to Soi Rachada 3, but there will be closer if you continue walking to use the 2nd exit (about few 10 metres from the first one). Then you will see R3 Sauna on your right hand side - grey-coloured wall painted with rainbow stripe - easy to find.

'Just went there for the first time last night. I give them 8 out of 10. Good part is it's new and clean - no broken shower - not stinky. Bad part is too much stairs and mazes - When you need to go to the relax room zone, you have to climb up to the 4th floor (shower and steam room) and then go down to the other side with no any exit. If you want to go back to locker room or gym room, you must climb up again to shower floor to use stairs on the other side.'Very unsafe in case of fire!!

Safety... when you look at DJ Station and that tiny soi, imagine in case of fire.... Don't think they care much there...

But I can't wait to explore this new place though. Can't seem to remember where about is that Praram MRT station? is it far from the center?

Not Praram but Phra Ram 9. If you take the train in from the airport, it is one of the first major ones you get to.

So, not super central but not far off the center either, sort of on a direct line north of Asoke.

Just so you know, for those who are in BKK at this moment, R3 sauna launched free entry campaign from 18-19-20 July from 12noon to 7pm and 12 midnight to 3 am. You need to add Line ID: r3-sauna to ask for the entry code (good way to build up customer database, I think). I may go on this Sat.19th early afternoon.

I went for a proper full body massage & a body scrub at waternest spa with my 4 four friends. They can do the water bathe naked. Great enjoyment together. It's near Phrom Phong BTS & opposite Emporium shopping centre. Can see their promotion inside website www.waternest-thai.com & 6 storey high!
