what they ask first and what they will be willing to settle for (i.e. the true going rate) are two different things ;-)

Apparently, overnight means until at least 6am, some will then want to leave, some may stay longer. Probably best to ask and agree everything in advance

hi guys , thanks for all the reply and answer ,

but it seem like you guys are talking about boys from the a-go-go bar ,

i'm thinking of booking overnight a boy i saw from the bangkok massage boys website , ( not from the bars ) ,

so is there a different in rate between the 2 ??

Thanks again

You can find much information if you look on the Bangkok website that is similar to this one:  www.gaythailand.com

You can even register there with a username and make questions to the members who frequent all these places.

Click on "Gay Bangkok"  and you get the "Gay Thailand Forums",  Click on "Gay Thailand" and it displays the list of forums.

Read for example the thread: "Off to Thailand again - December 2014 trip"  and see what the experts do there...

Went to Dr Bear today - no doubt about it - the massage is really good. Clean environment and lovely, simple set up. Almost déjàvu to an earlier poster's experience - a masseur on the phone looking grumpy - thankfully I got another guy who, although looked unpolished, was very attentive. This is definitely a place worth visiting at least once.

any go go boy show in soi twilight to recommend? are they safe to go alone?

Dream Boy generally has the best production values and the most "conventionally" good-looking and good-physiqued guys (meaning: no bony twinks featured on the shows). I understand it is the most expensive at 450Baht.

Tawan's shows are also very good, and they have almost exclusively muscled/bodybuildertype guys in their stable. Their shows culminate in a masturbation competition towards the end. Tawan is a short distance from Soi Twilight.

Safe to go alone? Yes of course. The Bangkok nightlife isn't the sort of place teeming with robbers lurking in dark alleys. Soi Twilight and Tawan are located along crowded streets. Yes their job is to make you part with your money by acting on your hormones, but they're not there to cheat you. Check with the staff / papasan to confirm the amount of money you need to pay before agreeing on anything. If it doesn't fancy you, you could always decline.

Just returned from a 2 weeks work/holiday trip to Bangkok. Decided to try out a few of the massage places and to share with everyone the experiences.

Day 1: Arrived late evening on a Saturday night and managed to only check in at Emporium Suites hotel near Phrom Phong BTS station at about 8pm. Really nice area to stay in, with a good mix of high end and regular food options. Near to K Village as well as the new EM District, not to mention just 2 stops away from Nana which has many good tailors and interesting nightlife.

Anyway, after checking in to the hotel, decided to drop by at the Waternest Spa nearby at Soi 39, which is pretty near Phrom Phong BTS. Reached there at about 8.30pm and upon entering, was greeted by a very friendly and welcoming manager. You are given an iPad to choose the treatment you would like and after you are done, the curtains are drawn and out walks a row of masseurs for you to choose from.

It can be quite intimidating as they are just standing about 5m away and all smiling and trying to get your attention. There were about 8 boys present and to be frank, the average standard is not the highest of all the other places I've been to. But I decided on a boy named New, who is quite shy and good looking and pretty good physique.

Pretty impressed with their service attitude as they were the only place whereby the boy helps to remove your shoes and change into the slippers provided. I chose the 95mins aromatherapy suite nest massage for $1150, with a minimum tip of $700 for the masseur and was brought up to a suite room with an ensuite shower.

The masseur New is really shy and quiet, partly due to him not being very good in English. But it was sufficient to get by and I found his service attitude to be really top notch. Fairly good massage skills too and a great happy ending. Very sweet boy and his shyness makes you want to take good care of him.

The thing I liked best is there was no asking for more tips by New during or after the massage. Paid a total of $3k baht for the massage and the tips for New, who was genuinely surprised by the amount of tips given. Was given a receipt which detailed all the pricing and the masseur chosen, which helps if you like to keep to the same masseur next time. The receipt also acts as a discount voucher for next visit for a 65m massage at $600.

All in all, a good experience and a good start to the trip but I'm surprised by the lack of customers at Waternest Spa. Maybe it's because of the low season but I was the only customer there throughout my time at the place.

100% worth visiting and only one of two places which I visited twice during my stay in Bangkok. More to come...

I've been there many times when they had a Philippino guy called Danny who was excellent but has since left. Good physique & excellent massage. How I really miss Danny!

I've tried a few of the rest; they were ok but not outstanding. Happy ending was routine.

But the experience was pleasant so it may be worth going if you happen to be around the vicinity. But you need to tailor your expectations.

Hi, does anyone know where to buy laptop motherboard, 2.5" internal HDD in Bangkok?

Either Fortune Town IT Mall or Pantip Plaza IT Mall. For spare parts like this maybe Pantip is better. I was able to get a 4GB RAM for an older notebook there not so long ago
