Let's get real and be fair to both the masseurs and the centre. Should the masseur tag along, then it's  a private arrangement between he and the client. However, he is contractually bounded to the centre. As such he is still answerable to the boss. To say causing any inconveniences... is rather vague, bearing in mind that exceeding the time limit of a 90 mins b2n one has to make extras paymt. You might be opening up the floodgate for future disputes.

I was told that they only collect half of what you paid at the counter so tips are important to them but of cos they have to earn it with their good service.

However, tipping below rm20 is too stingy, better don't tip.

Yes, you can invite the massuer out for a meal as long as he don't have booking later.

Just went to Healing Touch Spa this afternoon. I might have been their first customer.

Once I entered, I was warmly greeted by Marcus. Marcus is a very friendly and attentive person. The way he went through the menu and masseur selection showed his service attitude and honesty. So to all who plans on visiting HTS, let Marcus know what you are looking for and he won't disappoint you.

 

Ginger tea was served upon arrival, along with the promotional foot bath provided. The place is spacious and spartanly decorated. It gives a sense of openess and relaxation.

 

I took up the Sensual Massage (120rm/90mins) with the Red Wine as an add on for 15rm, bringing my total to 135rm 90mins massage.

 

I have to say that the red wine really relaxes you and soothes you during the massage. Apparently they are using a Shiraz 555 red wine, really fruity and sweet.

 

My massuer (Roy) was really attentive and had good technique. I fell asleep midway during the massage, a sure sign of a good massage for me.

PS. A newly opened place is sure to have a few hiccups [Thankfully my experience there was pretty smooth], but give the place a chance; When there are problems, feel free to approach Marcus to voice your feedbacks and I'm sure Marcus would take note and improve. I see great potential in HTS and given time and support from customers, I believe that this place would bloom beautifully.

The address is on the second floor of 56A Jalan Pingai and it's above some Chinese medicine store/clinic. There is no sign so I had to call them to confirm the place - I think this is one area to improve.

 

Marcus is indeed very friendly and detailed about all the packages. According to him there's a car that will send customers to and fro customs - just call them to book. It wasn't available yesterday though. If you decide to take a taxi, take it from outside cotton on - the price is about RM 7.

 

During this promotion period a foot bath is given for free. It is a satchet of herbs in water. Ginger tea was served upon arrival.

 

There is a steam room and jacuzzi but both were not in use when I was there. The shower room has 4 shower heads with curtains - individual shower facilities may be better.

 

Being 3 weeks old, the facilities are very new. You guys should enjoy it while it still has the new feel to it. Marcus upgraded me to the VIP room for free (usually RM 30). The VIP room has a double bed, while ordinary rooms have a mattress on the floor.

 

Like Taolos, I took the Sensual Massage with red wine (90 min) and paid Rm135 for it. The wine is quite sweet, not unlike port.

Firstly, i agree with @massagefan and @faynic about Jonas attitude. Seriously, all these guest postings... either positive or negative, are polluting this thread... Why don't you guys register once and for all? If you want to stay anonymous, fine, don't put a picture or whatever but posting as guest just takes out all the credibility.

 

As for tips, I usually tip, even when there is no happy ending. Come on, one hour massage is already not that expensive and most of it goes to the spa I'm sure. If you liked the massage and the company, tipping $10 or $20 is not that much I think. Tipping less than $10 seems a bit stingy... better not tip at all in that case.

 

I for one, wouldn't like to have that job, unless I can chose my customers lol. So put yourself in their shoes and appreciate what they do for you. It's just fair and it's business after all. They are not here to be your friends for life or whatever but to make money as much as we are there to relax and enjoy the moment. It's a give-give situation. Paying for their services doesn't give you all the rights.

 

The customer is always right, yes I agree (I worked in hotels) but that doesn't give them the right to act like a-holes and it doesn't mean that the service provider has to put up with all the crap they are being given There are ways to handle different situations and people need to be trained to handle them properly, professionally and politely.
