ace.fortis
Hey peeps, not sure whether this has been mentioned before but y'all should really check out this link. It has a long list of cafes listed by location, made by a Joey Asher. I used it sometimes whenever I've some free time on my hands, or when I'm out with some friends. If anyone is keen on cafe-hunting, do let me know! =)

Arsene
Sunday Folks serves amazing ice cream and waffles. The Missing Pan is pretty good, quite pricey though! If you're in the West Coast area, try W39!

Dorkable
Was at the newly renovated Relish by Wild Rocket at Cluny Court last week for dinner. Very cozy ambience. Pricey menu. Around $22 for a burger meal. Their forte is burgers and they actually cook their patty according to how you prefer them. I had mine Medium Rare. My companion had the Japanese salad and the dressing was good. I agree with you about the ambience, though I think for me it has a charm about it because it's in Bedok haha. Not too noisy inside since there's not much tables, unless there's loud groups. Best to come early as its a PH. Cyberwarrior
Guys, you should try this new place call Roosevelt at Teo hong road. They serve mains and their coffee is not bad as well. As for prices, the mains are around $15 bucks. They also have a few desert selections which are pretty nice as well.

puppyfart
Not sure what you wanna know, but we shared the squid ink risotto and chendol, lychee cakes, so I can speak to those only. The risotto was rather bland and stodgy, so I probably wouldn't order this if you go the next time. Frankly, it's a surprise as it's not difficult to make a decent risotto, or maybe it was over-cooked that way.I did like the chendol cake, pandan flavored with sprinkles of the jelly and coconut cream in between. Sweet but good. The prices are on the high side as well. I paid 24 for the risotto and 8 each for the chendol, lychee cake.If you had a peek inside, you would know why its named monochrome bistro, it's décor is minimalist and in a way, reflects the taste of their food, no confusion about whether you like it or not. Ray3009
penny university: along east coast road (just a block away from where i live) i order a typical 5oz coffee latte and a plate of eggs benedict omnomnomnom sedapnya luar biasaa hahahaha I enjoyed Selfish Gene- like the ambiance and I notice the prices have come down quite a bit recently. The all day breakfast used to be 18.80 but is now around 15. Really like the scrambled eggs as well as the sweet cherry tomatoes which accompany the eggs.94 Drury Lane has decent cakes and coffee- aiming to try their salted caramel tart and peanut butter pie next time :-)Nice baked eggs as well but the drawback is the aircon- which has been the subject of some negative feedback. Tends to be very warm esp at lunchtime so the management needs to look at that aspect.Haven't been to the Plain since 2012 but I had decent service and F & B then. Also, New Harbour Cafe (opposite Blue Ginger in Tanjong Pagar Rd) which is more of a pub serving large set lunches - try the roast leg of lamb (Mon), roast pork (Fri) and for for a hearty fix of deep fried meat, the Hainanese Pork Chop on Thu. haha any foodie buddies then? xD so many i've yet been too! Well no doubt on their black and white minimalist theme. I popped by one day during lunch hour and it was empty inside, save for a table with two people. The prices were a little unwelcoming as well. MeowPrince
A recently opened ice cream cafe, Geometry, has lovely ice creams They concoct hybrid flavours regularly and even their regular creations are a treat! The picture above was their Strawberry Pocky and Pistachio flavours served with brute brownie and decorated with cinnamon cookie crumbles (the cookie was my own, for foodporn purposes only). They also have other flavours. Recommended are the Sunset Kiss and Mandygo hybrids for those of you who love fruity sorbets. Milky Way and Choc-Honey Nougatine are also very very nice, for those with sweeter tastebuds. Geometry is located next to ABC market, at Blk 2 Jalan Bt Merah #01-5142. I think they have a FB page too. Went there twice with bf and two other couples in the last 3 days. Quote Instagram @the_meowprince
