I saw the pics on another forum. It is slightly thinner and the weight difference is probably because they are using a smaller battery.

From the front view, the new psp looks almost identical to the old one. I read that the IR port is also removed.

Not sure about any new features though. I hope they added Bluetooth so that I can use my bluetooth headphones.

for those who are into FF series and slim psp... Square-Enix and Sony has come up with a FF7:CC slim PSP limited edition. There will be only 77777 sets for the whole world. The FF7:CC Slim PSP each has a series number to it, and it is designed with FF7:CC theme..

I think now the whole world is trying to "snatch" this limited Slim PSP.

I am sure Singapore will have quite a few sets. 77777 sets are not really ultra limited edition. And from what I heard the price won't be cheap either. So for those really keen, I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Furthermore, Singaporeans are really good at getting these stuff. I recalled a while back, there were also limited editions of the

well.. it depends.... IMO, I won't be surprise if Japan will reserve most of the sets for themselves.... and I have a strong feeling about that...

Many game shops in Singapore also can't guarantee that this time round, they can bring in as many sets to satisfy its customers, unless the customers themselves go to Japan to grap the set...

as for the price, it is expected to be expensive since it is limited... :) but those who will get it in the future.. u r lucky...

now.. i just want to get the FF7:CC game and maybe the upcoming PSP2... :P:P

For those into Slim PSP FF7:CC Edition, price may reach as high as $800+ due to extremely rare availability... One game shop, Gamescore, can only guarantee to get the set for its customers who are confirmed able to pay in full (according to them)...

Guys, if you want this set, GO GRAB IT!! :D;)

Gamescore is having 2 batch of sales.. one batch is $600+.. the 2nd batch is $800+.. i think the $800+ price tag is for really limited stock at the last minutes... why 2 batches of sales? it is bcos of the distributor (According to gamescore).. also according to the shop.. they have only 5 to 6 sets left on the price of $600+ (by the time i post this, not sure if there is any left :P )

The FF7:CC Slim PSP package includes the Slim PSP with FF7:CC design, the standard accessories, and the FF7:CC game itself :);)

PSP Slim has already official launched from Sony, somewhere during Sept time. It is released a few days before the release of PSP Slim FF7:CC edition..

Many game shops are already selling PSP Slim.

I know it has been officially launched in Sept in other countries but not in Sg.

i dun want those in the game shops. Those are the import sets, parallel imports.

I am interested in those officially launched in SG by Sony.

Their launch in SG was suppose to be middle Oct....

Has anyone got the PSP slim? I think the biggest difference is that the lastest model can output your game source onto any giant lcd screen. Thought of getting one during the coming IT show. Anyway I have seen many guys playing it on MRT and I think it's good I get one to stimulate my greying brain cells. :D Also saw in AMK Mall some older 2nd-hand PSP model selling at $190.

I think PSP Slim is selling like hot cakes here in Sg. My friend is trying to get one and every shop that he goes to, tells him that only left the pink colour one. The other colours such as black, white, blue are sold out and they have no ideas when the new stock are coming.

i was told that only modified set of PSP slim can copy games (file with .iso) onto the memory card and play from there, no need to buy the UMB.... but i was thinking that warranty will be void if i got a modified set and one more thing.... will i be able to update the firmware from the sony website ???

my info is from the original PSP, unless PSP slim changed the format, this should still stays

nowaday PSP mod uses software mod, a cracked version of the firmware that allows you to play copy-friendly games (better way of saying pirated) using the memory stick.

but you still need 1 original UMD (any games just needed 1 for all games) in the socket to "trick" the system thinking the iso is from the UMD.

if for whatever reason you need to send your PSP for servicing, Sony will conveniently "upgraded" it back to non-mod firmware, so you need to go back to the shop to re-mod again.

Homeboi, that price is quite ok... usually the 380 version comes with mod and memory card.

for the additional 38, it may be for the 4 DVD games (which is very cheap at 10 per dvd)

importantly, make sure it is the PSP SLIM though

I was doing research on the slim Psp and which reputable shops to buy and these three names came up consistently- FunzSquare,FunzCentre and GameScore .

If I am not wrong, AMK Mall has a Funz Outlet on the 3rd floor. Always crowded with students. So I am quite sure will have good deal there. homeboi, did you check up this shop???

Anyway, it seems that some colour are more 'in' than others. Black model is always priced cheaper than white, etc....
