Pity that its unavailable here in Sg.I love SL's Gris Clar - lovely lavender.I dont understand Carnal Flower though. Dont really like it.Yeah. Sad Sad. I ordered my Jicky overseas. The civet is similar to Ungaro II I like Carnal Flower (Tuberose overdose) and Fracas too. It might be cloying if the weather is too hot or too humid. So I wear it only at night or in air con room. Gris Clair is nice too - smoky lavender. Quote Fatal Eclipse V + Galaxy III

jarboy
Where do u guys spray the purfume on? On the clothing or on the skin and which part do u all spray on??I usually spray on my wrists and then rub them against my neck (near the throat/lymph nodes), I read somewhere abt applying perfume this way~I'll also spray once or twice on the air above me so that the scent will settle on me. I avoid spraying directly on my clothes, unless its one of those mild/faint scents. Quote There's always another secret.

Too dangerous Hermessence tends to be airy and light (but long lasting). monoser
Another qns... What's the diff btw edt and edp?? Most of the scents I see are edt...edp (eau de parfum) has higher concentration of perfume oil than eau de toilette and tends to last longer. The basenotes of edp are more accentuated and the top notes tend to be tone down a bit. EDP tends to be pricier too. Most male fragrances are edt (except selected few i.e. Narciso Rodriguez for Men, Terre d'Hermes, Creed Millesime series and other unisex fragrances)In order of concentration of perfume oil:Extrait/Pure parfum > Eau de Parfum/Parfum de Toilette > Eau de Toilette > Eau de Cologne Quote Fatal Eclipse V + Galaxy III

ziddyzid
i habitually decant them when comes to wearing them.they have a stronger sillage and weirdly do have notes which is suitable for men's fragrances.shalimar is usually marketed for women's but universally its unisex after it settles into its skin/leather and velvet notes.its like somehow have this effect smelling like your skin but better.chanel's sycomore has that woodiness from vetiver which echoes with the resonating violet. smokiness from the tobbaco and sandalwood makes a smokey and relaxed background. I see it as dark intense and long lasting and more readily appreciated by a man rather than a woman.YSL's Opium is a vast brick of smoldering resin and spice. Once you get over the top notes (slight flushing of rose, but its in the background in this production), the myrrh and sandalwood just rise to the occasion. carnation (not the floral variety note) has a slight animalistic quality which is empowered by the clove in the fragrance.i mean, these are definitely quality oriental scents which so different in comparison of generic and easily marketable scents in the market now.however, to each his own. open mind, open heart and put aside gender issues, welcome to perfume exploration. PaterTenebrarum
stiffneck: if you like something, I seriously think you dont need other peoples approval for it. It is perfectly ok to like Polo Blue.BUT, if you ask me if I like Polo Blue, I wld say, Nope! I dont like it and many other blue fragrances for that matter. Polo Blue, imho smells like every other fresh-aquatic scents available out there. I uusally dont care much for such fragrances with the exception of Creeds Virgin Island Water and its Green Irish Tweed (which smells like a much nicer and smoother version of Davidoffs Cools Water). At this very moment right now, Im using Equipage by Hermes.Yesterday, I sprayed on Chanels Coromandel. The day before, Carnal Flower. Im now in Montreal and it`s Autumn. CF smells so much better here in cool weather. Edited October 6, 2011 by PaterTenebrarum somas
