Another suggestion, I realised that the china counter staffs are not friendly at all Please gave them a proper trainning

Just went last night at 8pm, and found the same unfriendly attitude at the counter. No smiles. I could see that the entire TV lounge was empty, but yet he tried to push me to pay the sauna entry fee.

Tried just the massage by one of the new masseur (did not have any choice of masseur, as I have never seen any of the new masseurs there). It seemed that all the pervious batch of masseurs (xiao zhao, xiao zai, ah xin) had all left...wonder why? The new batch of masseurs were all young ( I was told). As I came in, I saw one youngish masseur showing his customer into the massage room. Then, I asked if I could wait near the bard counter. Instead, I was told to wait in my massage room. I waited for a full 10mins. My masseur finally came knocking, and appeared. He's youngish looking, his hairdo resembles the Malaysian punk-kid style, long and uncool. What comes next was most shocking... Guess what!? My masseur headed straight for the attached tolilet (the condition of which looks filthy, and broken, with no doors) and urinated into it. I closed my eyes, and tried not to think too much about it. Perhaps the massage will be good.

The massage was crapped. Overall, poor. Honestly, when he was working on my back, it seemed average at first. Then, he moved on to massage my legs, the energy level suddenly subsided. His phone rang, he talked and talked, holding his phone on one hand, somewhat pressing my legs with his other. Next was the front. It got worst. 35mins into the massage, he asked me if I want my "dragon vein" to be pulled. Hell NO! Enough of this crap. "Stop", I said, got up, dressed up and left.

What's dragon vein ?

I think it's a term TCM therapists use to describe manhood therapy. The chinese style is actually quite painful, but that's what i heard, never tired.

These days, gay massage parlours will use this term to soften the bluntness when they ask you if you wanted extras.

Tennisball, you are kind to pay for a full massage, 1hr and only being massage for 35mins. <_< I'm wondering if NDHC would like to clarify here of giving such a service to a Customer. I am sure there are plenty of Masseurs in saunas (10men, 17, abs, etc ....). Also, I think NDHC has just lost one good customer.

During this time, with bad economy ahead, I guess to gain customer's loyalty is very important. This would pull you through for the next few months if not years. :rolleyes:

I have not been to Diamond may be for 7 years i think. Was at first interested to go back and take a look but after tennisball's post, am having second thots.

Any case, as an owner of a massage and sauna place in manila, i fully understand the difficulties with managing a place like Diamond.

1. It is hard to manage and keep consistent the quality of the service provided. In addition, not every guests will feel the same way about the same therapist. For the same therapist, he has good days and bad, and they will be good comments and bad ones from different clients. But the only way the management knows about it is through feedback. Unless the management reads blogs and forums like these, they will never know the feedback. But for my massage place, we initially looked for a lot of feedbacks and was very reactive to them. Then later realize we cannot please everyone and there will also always be people who will just slam your business. So we become more selective and listen to regulars and also kind of look at the trend of comments rather then just reacting to each and every single comment.

2. Finding someone who wants to work may not be that difficult, but finding someone who has the right attitude, looks good and then provide the training to them is not easy. Moreover the good therapist get "sponsored" very fast in manila. As in a customer will become his sponsor and he will not need to work.

3. Maintenance costs, especially for wet areas are very expensive and consistently in need of upgrading. For small business that is barely breaking even, this will be the first thing to be ignored. Is a bit of chicken and egg. Successful sauna like One Seven will have money to keep it maintained. For Diamond, unless there is a new injection of funds into the place, it does not sound like there will be much difference.

RecentlyI went to Diamond and was very angry with a masseurs with tattoes gluing to the computer for hours. First of all computer are meant for customer and hope the management can take some action

1) do we need to remove underwear & wrap with the towel only?

2) if we dun wear underwear, do we remove our towel if we want to go into the pool? or go into the pool together with the towel? it will definitely wet.

YES, remove towel and go into the pool nude.

At Diamond they have white shorts that you can ask for and use both to shower in and to go into the pool with, if you are really shy but I think they are really ugly. Some people like them.

At diamond till 5.50pm today, managed to have one middle age / semi-bear with whitehair for fun but he have a small d. The environment was acceptable, crowd were ok. Encourage more senior to visit Diamond.

I don't work for Diamond. But I have noticed a dip in visits by gay men at the sauna recently. Diamond is STILL the place if you are looking for mature fun.

Can you clarify ?

While you said there is a dip of patrons, but its still a place for looking mature ? They are not contradicting. Unless you really meant its still the place even though it suffers a dip in patrons.

Hi Diamond Goers,

The smsed u rcv was indeed true! Diamond is closing down end of this month. Diamond is not moving out, it is closing down for good. I know the actual reason and has promised not to say it out. For those who heard about Diamond opening in new environment or places are not true. I am terribly upset when I heard the news in early May and did not expect that it is happening so soon.

To clear any rumours or gossips, we, the Management of New Diamond would like to clarify that we are not link to Keybox in anyway. Please give them a break and stop directing any issues relating to New Diamond to them.

Also we would like to confirm that it is true we are closing at the current Sultan Plaza premises (as the lease has ended)sometime end of this month, and most likely the last day will be on 26.07.2009 (Sunday).

However, we will open again under a new suana name and new concept but still the same old bosses, namely Stanley & Zack only. We will inform all again soon on our new location, opening date (likely to be on the first week of August), pricing and facilities (hot pool, steam, etc).

Before we officially close New Diamond for good, to show our appreciation to our supporters, from 20.07.2009 (Mon) to 26.07.2009 (Sun), all existing New Diamond members (with membership card) only will enjoy a special price of S$15 for entry before 6.00pm.

You may not know us but we know who you are. We now know he is very upset with all the 'incident' happened months ago & still keeping in touch with him).

'Same Old Bosses'? Diamond has ONLY 1 boss and both of you are paid 'managers posts' managing the place on his behalf. Both of you are getting your monthly salary unlike your boss who has been so supporting and contributing most of his money in Diamond. So pls do not say 'Same Old Bosses'.

i actually enjoy the not so hot room at the end of the hallway as i cannot tahan the hot steam or sauna. aside from the hot and cold pool, i think that room is one of the unique features of diamond.

No wonder there were many old diamond faces at 10men last weekend.

!10men business very brisk and i heard got to do with some magical ritual they performed before opening :twisted:

Diamond has gone gdown ever since they remove d the Jarokoe system. I would spend about 40 to 50 SGD at Diamond last time, now at 10men , I would send only 10 bucks. Though there are a lot of ugly monstrous looking patrons, you still get one or two fine gems. 10 men is the 1.99 sauna of singapore or the Angel & Demon sauna.

Good News! Good News! :clap:

I heard from the agent that this unit (Diamond Spa), a new taker has already taken over Diamond Spa and signed the necessary contract about 2 or 3 wks ago. I was told that the new taker may do some renovations to the place and the name will not be Diamond Spa.

I am hoping the place will be like before with lots of mature guys :thumb: and of course more pleasant environment with no more foul smell.

Hoping the place will be opening soon.

Please read my message clearly that was send earlier. I did mention 'Agent'. This is the agent who got new client to take over the place. This is NOT rumours at all :twisted: Whether it is going to covert to straight sauna or not, that I do not know. What I know, already mentioned.
