erection day
July is a great month to visit BKK. Sales are happening everywhere. If you are not the sales kind of person, there're still great buys to have if you know where to look. On my recent visit, my best buy has to be those giant double-sided disney posters like Finding Nemo, The Lion King, The Invincibles, 101 Dalmatians, ect. Only 40bhts each (about $1.60). Will be finding the right frames for these posters soon which will go up on my off wall. hehe.Other good buys in Bkk include toothpaste, hair products, underwears, office stationery- try to get them in hypermarket like Carrefour, Big C or, my favourite, Tesco. Really cheap buy. Also noticed that everybody's favourite shopping mall, MBK, is now open from 10am. They used to open their shutters at 11am. Now, no more wandering aimlessly in Siam Sqaure while passing the time away.

Also occupying proudly in my bedroom is an antique lamp acquired there many years ago. About 500bths for that.
Massagee
dunno Thailand at all. Since I like getting massaged and buying good buys, you guys are so tempting me to go for it.A friend brought back a darn cheap pasar malam lamp from Thailand for me. Frankly it looked eewww and it has a unhatched roach casing inside!!!! For bringing back Thai live cockroaches is definitely an offence. erection day
One of my other best buy is the army dog-tag (fashion accessory for the modern man ) at Chatuchak market. Saw similiar design at 77 Ave selling at $8- $10. Got it at a stall just outside CM at only 20bhts (80cents). Also some aromatherapatic candles and bottle scents. Very cheap. Guest Guest
I need to get underwear, are tesco in mbk? No, tesco is not in mbk. I think in the basement there is a tops supermarket. Tesco can be found in some area like at On-Nut station. For cheap underwear at 19bahts, go to Big C opposite Central World.

Guest must buy
There is a very nice shop on the third or fourth floor of Platinum Mall which sells only clock-related items. Got wonderful 'expensive' looking wall clocks, clock diary, clock gift novelty items, table clocks, neon clocks.... I bought a metallic arty-looking wall clock at 500bahts only. I think I saw a similiar looking clock here selling at over $100 plus.

erection day
Any authentic products that are not made in Thailand will be just as expensive, if not more, in BKK. I've tried looking for cheaper branded footwear too but to no avail. Most Nike or Reebok shoes are made in China. or Macau.
