Height: 1.71m

Weight: 65kg

Exercise Regimen: Respecting our body is very important, and I do what I can to maintain a good figure aesthetically and healthily, by doing simple five-minute workouts every day. I play rugby and soccer but now, I am focusing on ballroom dancesport.

Diet: I eat anything on the plate. I usually have a heavy breakfast - eggs, onions and milk are a must. I will keep my lunch and dinner simple and filling. If there are days I eat more than I intended, I'll have to work out to lose the weight. A good diet is vital in maintaining a good body.

Height: 1.67m

Weight: 56.5kg

Exercise Regimen: My exercise regimen focuses on strength and muscle conditioning as I wish to bulk up. Thus, I hit the gym 5-6 times a week and I train with a variety of free weights for the different types of exercises and muscle groups. On days when I skip gym, I will go to a fitness corner in my estate to train for at least an hour.

Diet: I go for food with more protein and carbohydrates. Vegetables and fruits are also important as they help to detoxify the body and assist in digestion. I drink protein shakes before and after working out.

some time a photo may make a person looks big...actually he could be lean toned puny size.

Based on his wt n ht, his size shld not be big.

Usually a person will become bigger on photo. So in reality he is actually smaller.

I beg to differ. While yes Jonathan Phay looks slimmer in person than he is on social media, there are cases where the person looks big in photos and bigger in person. For example, Jason Chee and some of the contestants from Nutriman 2015.

Mr Andrew Ang, who has three children, one of whom has autism, believes regular exercises helps reduce feelings of anxiety and depression. No matter how busy he is, he makes sure he exercises at least three times a week, and for at least an hour each time. He runs at least 20km and swims 3km each week.

Andrew Ang, 42

Height: 1.73m

Weight: 65kg

Don't take it wrong if you hear Mr Andrew Ang say that exercise is his last priority. The Singaporean owner of a life and general insurance agency business actually means it is the last thing he does in a day.

No matter how busy he is, he makes sure he exercises at least three times a week, and for at least an hour each time. "I can be very tired after 12 to 14 hours of work but I will push myself to do some exercise," he said.

Exercise is what keeps him physically as well as mentally fit to deal with the demands of his work and family life. He and his financial consultant wife, Corrine, 39, have three children - Charlotte, 11; Alexander, nine; and Abraham, eight. His older son is severely autistic and also needs a gluten-free diet.

"As a father of three, including one who is autistic, exercise is all the more important to reduce feelings of anxiety and depression."

Mr Ang started working from the age of seven in his parent's farm, where they reared pigs and ducks and grew durian trees. He became an electronic engineer but switched career in order to have more flexibility and to better provide for his family.

Fitness Routine

TUESDAY

WEDNESDAY

A 1.5km swim at a client's condo pool or any Safra or public swimming pool.

Undergraduate

spacer.png

Height: 1.78m

Weight: 70kg

Exercise Regimen: Every week, I do two long runs of about 30km each and shorter running drills to correct my form and posture. I also work out in the gym with five sets of five exercises - squats, benchpresses, deadlifts, shoulder presses and pull-ups.

Diet: Other than no fast food, I do not have a proper or a strict diet. I try to satisfy my cravings as I would rather get them over with than have linger with me the entire day. A simple balanced diet works for me. My favourite food is roasted chicken.

Height: 1.8m

Weight: 74kg

Exercise Regimen: I train in a wide array of sports such as mixed martial arts, rock climbing, running, yoga and trekking on a regular basis. I also work on my muscular development during strength and conditioning sessions.

Diet: I eat less carbohydrates and avoid sweet foods. Naturally sweet products like fruit and vegetables are my alternative, so I eat salads and drink vegetable juice. I like eggs too. For meat, I'll eat fish because it is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids which are good for the skin. Lastly, I drink water on a regular basis.

Don't be so mean he will have to do plastic surgery for that above plastic look.

Good enough as he is. It would b nice to see him with longer hair.

Besides he is only 17. When he starts to work.. I'm sure he will learn to groom himself better like most adult males .

His latest race was the Asics Beat the Sun event in Mont Blanc, France. The 150km relay race covers different types of terrain, including alpine and trail running. He was part of the Asia-Pacific team of six runners, that completed the race in 16 hours and 52 seconds. The June 21 event also gave him his most prized sports memorabilia - a three-dimensional map of the Mont Blanc region.

When water polo captain Eugene Teo feels stressed or unhappy, he will train even harder as it helps him feel better afterwards.

Eugene Teo, 28

Height: 1.92m

Weight: 100kg

The captain of Singapore's national water polo team has tried many sports over the years, including rugby and tennis, but has stayed loyal to just one - water polo. Mr Teo signed up for this demanding team sport when he was in Secondary 1 at Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road), thinking it looked like fun.

He soon learnt that it was hard work. "I couldn't swim so I spent the first year learning how to swim and the second year trying to keep up with my teammates."

Still, he persevered and was picked to play for the national team at 19. He has helped to bring home five gold medals from the SEA Games since 2007.

Mr Teo. who works as a sales and operations manager, has two brothers. His father is a taxi driver and his mother is a housewife.

Equipment/facilities supervisor

Height: 1.75m

Weight: 72kg

Exercise Regimen: I do 30 minutes of cardio daily on either the cross trainer or the arc machine. I ensure that I warm up properly before starting on my workouts. The favourite muscle group that I love to train are my shoulders.

Diet: My daily diet plan differs depending on the muscle group that I am training. I would vary the ratio of my carbohydrates to avoid excess overloading. My favourite source of protein would be from beef, seafood (prawns and oysters) and eggs. I usually prepare my own meals every morning before heading to work.

It's like that.  Young guys looked older and old guys looked younger after taking up weight training.  I guess the young face is tight but you over stretched it when trying to lift up a heavy weight off the shoulder.

Well we couldn't fault the photographers as the person is already like that. Most likely, this guy already knew beforehand he was to be photographed by ST Hotbods, hence he dried himself with whatever means including suntanning. Look how tanned he is in the picture. Hence, for a 24 yo, this mamat looks 42.

This is a common trait of bodybuilding. Pretty damaging I would say.

Singapore's top two long-distance runners Mok Ying Ren (left) and Soh Rui Yong took part in the San Jose Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon in California on Sunday.
