Sunday Times Hot Bod (26 February 2017)

Jared Chua, 23

Undergraduate

kSQzQhu.jpg

Height: 1.83m

Weight: 86kg

Exercise Regimen: I visit the gym four times a week to lift weights. My sessions are split into working different muscle groups including chest, back and arms. I put emphasis on big compound movements like squats and bench presses. Besides lifting weights, I play football at least once a week.

Diet: I focus on consuming natural whole foods like unprocessed meat and vegetables. I pan fry or even bake my food. I eat mainly meat and vegetables, leaving carbohydrates to post-workout meals.

ZACH WU, 32

ACCOUNTANT AND WELLNESS COACH

dpsqtT3.jpg

Height: 1.71m

Weight: 64.5kg

Exercise Regimen: Apart from having a passion for dance, I also have a love for calisthenics, which I do about four or five times a week for conditioning and building strength. Once in a while I go swimming at the pool to relax.

Diet: I focus heavily on my nutrition. After all, good health is 80 per cent nutrition and 20 per cent fitness. I use nutritional supplements to support my training and to ensure that I get all my nutritional needs. In addition to that, I eat as healthily as I can.

Sunday Times Hot Bod (12 March 2017)

Donovan Sim, 18

Student

uiGZuwy.jpg

Height: 1.70m

Weight: 61kg

Exercise Regimen: I hit the gym four times a week, with each session lasting two hours. I like to begin my workout with strength training using heavy compound movements before doing isolation exercises. I try to stay active on other days of the week by doing bodyweight exercises like push-ups and pull-ups. I also go out to play a sport to keep training fun and enjoyable.

Diet: I am a huge believer in counting calories and macronutrients (proteins, fats and carbohydrates). Although I don't pack my own meals, I am cautious of what I eat. I make sure I get in the correct ratio of micronutrients every day. I keep my protein intake high and I refrain from fried food and sugary drinks.

Sunday Times Hot Bod (19 March 2017)

Blake Ng, 25

Entrepreneur

Vsk4Cpy.jpg

Height: 1.7m

Weight: 60kg

Exercise Regimen: I do a wide variety of exercises such as sprints, callisthenics (body-weight movements), swimming and weightlifting - all with the objective of achieving well-rounded fitness that is functional to my everyday life. I enjoy mixing up my workouts but constantly seek to find a balance in all that I do. My motto: train safe, train happy.

Diet: I eat everything except processed food (fast food). As long as I'm eating a balanced meal inclusive of carbohydrates, fat and proteins (according to my training), I know I'm feeding myself enough. I believe that we should all adopt a healthy diet that is sustainable, easy to prepare (considering our busy schedules) and one that feeds our body well.

Masato Itabashi, 38

Volleyball coach

mioHFvW.jpg

Height: 1.8m

Weight: 70kg

Exercise Regimen: I do weight training four times a week, two hours per session. I focus on my core, and training includes planking and flexing and about 500 sit-ups, and I don't do much cardio. I also play beach volleyball competitively.

Diet: I have no diet restrictions. I get my protein from beef, chicken and pork but I don't like fish. I like vegetables - especially broccoli, because it contains protein and makes me feel full, and I usually have it after training. I also eat two to three eggs a day. I indulge in a cup of ice-cold beer from time to time.

Alson Tian, 22

Full-time National Serviceman

x7kOtBL.jpg

Height: 1.68m

Weight: 70kg

Exercise Regimen: My favourite exercise is the bench press, and I never leave the gym without hitting the bench first. Before I enlisted in the army, my routine was gym before or after work. I also do cheerleading as a sport that helps me activate my legs and core muscles, which I do not train during my workout routine at the gym.

Diet: My food routine consists of three normal meals a day, with the occasional cheat day. Diet-wise, I limit my carbs and fatty food intake, and my philosophy is to work out for the food I want to eat. My favourite dishes are chicken rice, pasta and truffle fries.

Sunday Times Hot Bod (9 April 2017)

Keith Lim, 25

Student

VcUBCoZ.jpg

Height: 1.85m

Weight: 72kg

Exercise Regimen: I used to work out in the gym, but now my main physical activity is muay thai, after getting inspired by a mixed martial arts bout when I was in Thailand. The sport builds strength, increases flexibility, and is a good cardiovascular workout. I train three times a week. Muay thai is a good sport to pick up if you want to be fit and lean but not bulky.

Diet: I eat three meals a day. They consist of a mix of fruit, vegetables and lots of lean meat. I avoid fatty meat or fast food, but occasionally I enjoy French fries.

Shallow? This guy appeared on the largest print media in Singapore and expects no comments? Come on. Do not be a hypocrite. If we praise him for his body makes it ok? If I say 'wow his body damn sexy', i am not shallow?

His is taking a topless picture and placed in section of HOT BODS...it will be different if he use to weigh like 100kg and lost all those kgs, than he will be praised..but he should know he is placed in HOT fuckinh BODS.

Guest MyBodIsHot

There are people who finds this type of bod to be hot and sexy, you know........

Just because the bod is not muscular and filled with muscle fiber, the bod is discredited?

It is the hot bod section, not muscle bod section

It is fine to showcase various type of healthy bod, not just chunks after chunks of defined ripped muscle bod

And i like that the hot bod section also feature mature men in their 40s and 50s from time to time...

You don't have to get defensive about being called out as a meanie. The comments I quoted referenced his supposedly "feminine" appearance, which I disagree with by the way. The comments were not about his physique, but his appearance.

Alright people, please do avoid such "heated argument".

The purpose of setting up this thread was to share the pictures for all.

Everyone, including me, has his own preferences.

There are times when I also dislike that particular hotbod issue, but I leave it as such and there's really no need to be critical or judgemental about it eh.

Have a good midweek! :)
