In China, they have a surgery involving the breaking of the leg bones and pulling them apart. The bones will slowly grow to fill the gap. Just when the gap is about to be fused, it’s pulled apart again. A few cm may be added in this way. I gather it’s very painful and takes about half a year. I do not like being in the gym for too long, usually 60 to 90 minutes. I am in rugby season now so it is mostly power and explosive work. I also have rugby training sessions in the evening thrice a week and I consider that the cardio part of my regimen. Diet: I usually try to hit anywhere between 3,000 to 4,000 calories a day. I split my meals to six a day, or even two to three hours. I try to drink about a litre of water every couple of hours. I eat pretty much anything because I burn it off easily during rugby training. I like all kinds of vegetables and try for a daily serving of fruit, usually after dinner. For supper, I will have chicken breast. I love desserts and sweet foods and have cheat meals once or twice a week. Edited November 11, 2018 by sphere New image hosting site Quote Happy - is what we should be, always. sphere
Straits Times - Mind & Body (23 October 2018) KENNETH SEET WENLEI, 28 Height: 1.69m Weight: 68kg If Mr Seet could turn back time, he reckoned he would have made more progress when he started weightlifting at the age of 20. He admitted to making many mistakes, such as lifting too many weights too often without tracking his progress and training only visible body parts like the chest and arms. Now, Mr Seet dedicates an hour each day to training each body part. His experience spurred him to become a certified personal trainer in 2016, to help others avoid such mistakes. He took this further by co-founding technology company, Levo Active, in May this year. A smartphone app by the same name was launched at the same time to release personalised training programmes for the company's clients. These come with videos and instructions on how to perform exercises correctly. Levo Active also provides fitness services like personal training, online coaching, group fitness classes and boot camps. Mr Seet said: "We know that people are not working out enough, and do not have access to convenient tools, engagement and guides to establish a habit of exercising regularly." He has a double degree in accountancy and business from Nanyang Technological University. His 27-year-old wife works in the aviation industry. They have no children. I try to keep my whole week active by mixing different workouts to keep things interesting and challenging. Diet: I'm flexible, but prioritise carbs and protein in meals. I also increase the calories accordingly to the intensity of my workout. My mantra is to always enjoy life and not to be a slave to your diet.
