In December 2019, Mr Phone Pyi Kyaw launched his own health and wellness coaching company. PHONE PYI KYAW, 27 HEIGHT 1.82m WEIGHT 75kg When Mr Phone Pyi Kyaw first set foot in a gym at age 15, he was tagging along with friends and was not motivated to exercise. But, after a week of going to the gym, he felt inspired by the muscular men he and started working out seriously. "I realised this was an opportunity to do something good for my body because people used to make fun of my skinny physique and I felt so insecure about myself," said the 27-year-old Singapore citizen, who was born in Myanmar and has been living here since 2005. Mr Phone became "obsessed" with exercising. He skipped his co-curricular activities in school to hit the gym and would spend hours at home watching YouTube videos to learn new exercise techniques and ways to gain muscles and burn fat. Said Mr Phone: "Instead of doing a degree after national service, I took a leap of faith to follow my passion in helping others with their fitness journeys by becoming a fitness coach." In December 2019, he launched his own health and wellness coaching company called S.U.N, which stands for Smile that Unites the Non-negative. He also produces and shares fitness videos on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube under the handle Phone Physique. Initially, he took on modelling gigs to sustain the business. The calisthenics and explosive throwing movements in this Japanese martial art are an excellent form of high intensity training. I also do weights training once a week, emphasising compound movements like deadlifts and chin-ups to maintain strength and power. DIET I eat more on the days I exercise and less on the days I don't. A typical breakfast is bread with eggs and coffee. For lunch, it is noodles and a salad. Dinner is rice with side dishes. On days I work out, I'll reward myself with some junk food like burgers. "It's not easy to have a body like Kim Jong-kook without using drugs at the age of 45," Doucette said to his 1.33 million YouTube followers in a video, which has since been taken down. On his aptly named YouTube channel, Gym Jong Kook, on which he dispenses workout tips, Kim documented the entire doping test process and proved conclusively that he had not taken steroids.
