sphere
In today's Sunday Times cover page (28 September 2014) There'll be no rest for Asian Games gold medalist Joseph Schooling. The 19-year-old swimmer will soon start working out, adding bulk to that fine physique as he prepares for his next goal: th Rio de Janeiro Olympics 2016. Some of his times are comparable to the world's best, but there's a long way to go to fulfilling his childhood dream of winning an Olympic medal. I train five or six times in the gym. All muscle groups are given equal emphasis to maintain good overall body proportion. On non-gym days, I will go for a short swim or a game of badminton. Diet: My carbs are brown rice, sweet potatoes, whole meal bread and oats which take longer to digest and do not raise the sugar levels in the blood as quickly as simple carbs. Meat sources are roasted chicken or pan-fried fish. Vegetables are steamed or eaten raw. I drink about 25 cups of water daily. I switch my routine every two weeks, varying from tabata, push/pull routines to functional training incorporating German Volume Training. Switching routines confuses the muscles into new growth. I foam roll after workouts to smooth and lengthen my muscles. It improves blood circulation and this speeds up recovery and boosts performance.Diet: I eat healthy and sustainably through flexible eating. The goal is to develop a diet you can maintain for life. I use nutritional or health beneficial ingredients with herbs and spices to enhance flavours. I drink at least 12 glasses of water and green tea as well. Guest Swimmer
Yeah those hunks like to comment on the Jason who is 50 .Can you even swim 30 to 40 laps 4 times a week mind you.For his age at 50 it's considered very fit. Most hunks who swim in the pool cannot even swim more than ten laps continuously or even more! I have seen many who just have a nice muscled body but lack stamina when it comes to swimming or running! If Jason consistently goes to gym like you hunks who only play with with dumb bells weights etc. Surely he can achieve your kind of gym fit body. bluerunner
....I have seen many who just have a nice body but lack stamina when it comes to swimming or running! Being fit and having big muscular body are not the same. I would say those with bulging and chunky muscles are just "pretty" (again, it's subjective) to look at. Dun expect them to run or to swim. Just look at the pool, so many "swimmers" ( as they called themselves) spent hours in the pool but never touch water. It's not that I am bashing anyone here but that a the fact. Peace.
