Do famous brands, do vacummed packed mooncakes? How long would the shelf life be?:0

I usually don't eat baked mooncake, and I didn't take note of the expiry date - which I would assume it to last 1-2 months under unwrapped condition (best is to check the expiry date on the package). Whenever I happen to have baked mooncakes, I would pass it on to family/friends/colleagues.

Happy - is what we should be, always.

Haha, joker I am not, just showing what Concorde Mooncakes gave - a "moon" for us to keep (or a night light for the elders eh), and there is no special packaging for the mooncakes.

Hey! I saw this too in KL. It’s available in SG? How much?

I didn't say you joke what, haha.

But like I said I don't like baked mooncakes, I prefer snow skin mooncakes.

The original price ranges from $70 to $78 (depends on the flavour and with/without yolks) for 4 baked mooncakes, and that free "moon".
I bought them at a discounted price.

Nice? Share your thoughts after you have tried

First I tried the latte flavored : not too sweet, and not too plain. There seems to have some fragrance added. But I think the latte flavor can add bit more. YUMMEH ~

Then next is the lychee flavored : the lychee can be tasted here. Same, not too sweet and not too plain. YUMMEH ~

Left is the latter and right is the lychee flavour. ~ 😌😄😋😁

the moon cake was done by my ex wife, she does this every year. it cannot be found outside.

every dough, every step, it is hand made, hand kneaded, done over night.. in a hdb kitchen.

no msg, less sweet, more healthy kind.

yes, for me!

which are the usual brands u like in the past?
I hope it is not raffles hotel!

I haven’t buy any for years as I receive from friends. But 1 particular mooncake which shocked me as it was really good was from JB. I cannot remember which confectionery liao. If we go way back, i think the last time i bought was at taka’s mooncake fair. Wahahahahaaa…

Raffles hotel yes I did buy before coz it’s branded and “famous”. But nowadays i also stop buying for people liao.

i would go for branded if it is gift to associates. mooncakes which are used as show off. usually most mooncake nowadays tasted almost that same. sometimes one factory can make mooncakes for multiple brands. worst when some mooncake forsake the use of lard.

a few years back, i came across an old connfectionary which makes traditional mooncakes by hand in malaysia. as they insist that they do not use preservative, they only starts selling more varieties a week before mid autumn and often sold out.
