KSL San Onsen

Finally visited KSL San Onsen in Klang. I was accompanied by friends and of course it was great to meet @yhtang Nice to meet you and thank you for your company.

 

The drive from Kuala Lumpur to Klang is quite long, it takes about over an hour to get there, especially with the traffic, but okay, I am here to experience and adventure new places and explore new experiences.
 

San Onsen is located on the 3M floor of the KSL Esplanade Hotel. There are many shopping malls below the hotel. Therefore, you can soak in onsen, shop, and even enjoy delicious food here.

 

Upon arrival, I was led in by the receptionist at San Onsen and the walk-in fee was RM48 per person. You will be given a high-tech locker key and they will explain the facilities to you for your convenience. The receptionist showed me around the lockers, changing rooms, amenities and the onsen.

 

Honestly, the atmosphere at San Onsen is very nice and comfortable. It was nice to visit here just to relax from the busy city life.
 

Sit on a small stool equipped with body amenities and start rinsing your body, then soak in the onsen with three different temperatures: normal temperature, hot and cold. The onsen are equipped with jacuzzi jets that basically massage your back while soaking in the hot springs.

 

Since I came on a weekday, there weren't many people. There were about 6-7 people enjoying the onsen includes me and my friend. I can somehow scan some PLU visitors. I'm sure there will be more over the weekend.

This time I didn’t do anything, just relax and experience the onsen. I am sure this will be the next spots that everyone will love cruising.

 

Most importantly, I'm glad to meet @yhtangand see you again someday.

I think the Onsen is quiet both because of the Ramadhan period, and because it was a weekday.

Visited KSL onsen today 

Sunday, around 4-6 pm

 

When I arrived, there were 7-8 people there. And all of them were naked at the time. Everyone seems comfortable with nudity.

 

Able to suck one fit chinese guy and play around with 2 other guys there. But all of these required lot of eye contact and body language. As i believe there are 2-3 people are straight during my time there.

 

The crowd dies down at 6 pm, and no one else was around during this hour. Overall, if you're aiming for fun, for rm48, its better if you go to gay sauna instead. Fun at this place is based purely on luck. 

 

But watching all these guys naked at onsen is worth it, for me at least 😅

 

*Reminder 

Do bring down big towel provided when you go to onsen area. Occasionally there will be female staff in locker room area, giving upper body massage at the massage chair. I had to wait until the staff left, as my towel was in my locker. 😅

I am really surprised that there was a female staff providing massage service in the men's locker room.  I presume the client was a man. 

I would have expected a male staff provide massage service to men in the men's locker room, not a female staff.

I will be in Kuala Lumpur this week but I don't think I can make it to Klang. Basically I'll be in town. Maybe next time! I might consider visiting Otot2, Kakiku or even 52F. I went to Otot2 last visit and now, read a lot of reviews about KakiKu and 52F. I might try these places during this visit.

I guess people tend to follow the example (who were there first) or go with the majority flow. If there is someone who dare to lead and break the flow, the story can be different.

Am really curious about how you guys do it after decided to go into the onsen naked. Personally I will wear the disposable boxer under my towel upon undressing at the locker area. If I find the other visitors are naked and feel like joining them after entering the onsen then only I'll remove the boxer at the shower area and coming out naked with the towel on my shoulder. Let me know how you guys do it 🤣

I first shower, then emerge with the towel around my waist and go to the area where the towel hooks are. 

I hook my towel on the towel hook, then walk to the pool and soak myself. 

There is a caveat though, I go later in the day when the expectation of children in the onsen is low. 

 

In other countries with proper onsen culture, nudity it expected in the onsen.  However, this is Malaysia and the culture here is not quite the same as Korea, Japan or Taiwan.

What will you do if there are kids around though? That's exactly what I'm concerned about. Do you undress openly at the locker area or in the changing cubicle?

If the kids are from Japan, Taiwan, China and Korea, it should not be a problem, as they most probably accustom to public nudity. as part of the culture.

 

However if it's local kids (or from some where conservative), even the children might not feel anything, the parent would probably raise an eyebrow. We don't know.

I undress openly because that is exactly what one is supposed to do in a locker room, children or no children. 

 

Some people may perform the towel dance, but that's up to them.  I do not demand they drop the towel when they change, and I would not acquiesce to other's wish to have me perform the towel dance when I change or undress.

I will not join you all on Sunday, because I am otherwise engaged.  Perhaps next time. 

 

Also, I do not like going to KLS onsen in the afternoon, simply because the chances of having children there are higher.  I want to enjoy soaking in an onsen, not seeing children running around in there.

If there are children in the onsen, I will force myself into those shorts they provide.  This is out of respect for the parents of the children, since we are in South East Asia. 

 

If the children and the parents are naked, then I would be naked too.  However, this being SEA, the probability of the parents and the children being naked in an onsen is pretty remote. 

 

If I were in Japan, Korea or Taiwan, (or perhaps in China, depending on the circumstances)  I would not be concerned about being naked around children, because their culture accepts nudity.  That is not quite culture in SEA though.

I agree with your observation, @maturedgent .

 

And it is because I believe the parents would be uncomfortable with the concept of their children in an onsen with other naked men that I would avoid going to an onsen at those times when I believe children might present.

My recent trips to KSL onsen:

 

First visit 4/5/2024 Saturday (onsenRM48)

 

Second visit 12/5/2024 Sunday (onsenRM24+one hour massageRM188)

 

Third visit 18/5/2024 Saturday (onsenRM48)

 

Fouth visit 26/5/2024 Sunday (onsenRM24+one hour massageRM188)

 

There have only two male massage therepists (cum Spa attendants) namely FERRY and BUKHARI. Both of them from Indonesia. I have tried the massage session from both of them. Their massage skills are good. Will I try their service again? YES!

 

I stayed there from 6pm to 10pm on all my visits. I noticed that more crowd came after 7pm or 8pm during my visit there. Some patrons there told me that Daddy and Son will usually left the premises before the dinner time. And they told me that weekdays are pretty quiet there. I am not sure as I didn't visit on weekdays. 

 

I didn't wear the disposable shorts provided and I fully naked walk all the way from locker upstairs to facilities downstairs. The masseurs/spa attendants didn't comment anything when they see me naked walking up down. They even said Hi to me and give me a sweet smile.

 

Yes, I did manage to hook up with three or four guys (25-35 yrs old) there each time on my visit. We fun (hug;kiss;touch;HJ) together at the shower area and even BJ and anal inside the toilet cubicle. About 75% of the crowd there on my four visits  are PLUs.

 

On one of my visit I still remembered around 9.30pm , there was a group of four BEAR taiwanese are so daring having group fun in the semi hot pool (32c) and even moaning and worst still was, two of them shot up their sperm inside the pool. I seen it on my own eye. I said wtf and I immediately got up from that pool. But I personally strongly disagree on what they did with such behaviours. 

 

FYI: they will lauch or add new facilities in two to three month times. I look forward to.

 

Will I visit again? Definitely YES on my next working trip to Klang Valley. I would rather spend my time here rather than other PLUs sauna. It is my individual preference as I like the environment, concept, facilities here

Sometimes, yes, but personally, I deem it to be in poor form to do so.  If it was a semi, yes, that is more tolerated because it can be attributed to improved blood flow.  However, if I were to suddenly get a raging hard on, I would remain in the water until my turgidity subsides somewhat.  

 

An onsen, especially KSL, is not meant to be a venue for sexual display.  Any occasions of sexual magic should be enjoyed in a more private area.  This is my opinion.  

 

However, if I were in a gay sauna with a pool or a jacuzzi, and I hookup with someone in there, I would be much more inclined to act on my baser instincts and proceed to have fun there.  Since it was a gay sauna, I reason that everyone there was hoping to get some fun, and perhaps our antics in the pool or jacuzzi could inspire others lose their inhibitions and go on to form their own unions.
