Taiwan - Massage / Sauna / Places To Visit (Compiled)

Its that time of the year again that im able to leave home.  My last experience in japan was eye opening but ill be in taiwan this time.  Just want to ask here about some details...

1)  Miniinn's "friendly" floors only have single bunks right?  Planning to book a double regardless what floor it is.  Seems like a crowd for really young people and Im sure im too old for anyone's taste there anyway.  I'll probably just going to take a look and admire the wild exposures of youth if it happens.  Ill just book there because im arriving late and its very near taipei main station.  This early, weekends are already fully booked.

2) How are baggages handled there?

3) Planning to book at Single Inn for the rest of my stay.  Its the only one i could find with an onsen type facility where the price isnt eye watering.  I thoroughly enjoyed my onsen hotel experience in japan and this will be interesting. Will be there late feb so it will be perfect for a hot soak.  Anyone experienced staying there?  I once ran into a website saying theres some magic happening late at night at the onsen.  I cant find it anymore.

I will probably have the guts and time to visit hans this time around.

On a side note, anyone into plants here?  will be visiting the jiangguo weekend market but if you know of any other place Id really appreciate it.

Someone mentioned in this forum that the gay friendly floors only have single bunk beds.  Anyway, if something happens, I will watch, if not then I will sleep.

Yes, im staying at the single inn in banquiao.  Men and women's floors are separate and each room is a small cubicle where you can stash your luggage.  According to the reviews, the walls are thin and do not go up all the way to the ceiling so the air can circulate.

From what I've read, levels 5 and 6 are definitely friendly floors, and they only have single bunks.
level 4 is the question mark, whether it is friendly all the time, or only sometimes.

level 4 has some double bunks.

one of my stays, i booked a single bunk on friendly floor, and was allocated level 4 (which i think is better than 5/6)
but that was during pride time.
at that time there were people of varying ages, up to 50s. one guy maybe even 60, but i didnt ask.

you need to take some initiative if you want some fun, unless you are so hot that guys flock to you.

shy shy wallflower keep curtains closed etc will most likely get ignored.

How is the baggage handled there?  is there a big locker or do I leave them at the front desk?

Ive been looking at the taiwanese TT1069 website but i cant speak or read chinese and google translate is so bad.  The entire text gets messed up once translated.

thanks!

carry on size luggage will fit into the lockers. but those big luggage generally kept in the room corner/ locker area/ on top of locker cabinet, etc. I suppose possible to keep it with reception if you are not planning to access the contents.

quick review of victor (captain spa): very muscular and does a proper good massage before starting to make it sensual. Was a good time 10/10 would recommend. did 2hrs.

quick review of leon (ak man): lean and cute, but pics on the website are heavily edited. massage was very average for 5 years of experience and he just goes through the motion. the 2nd half was more fun but would recommend only if you're extras-focused and not massage focused. did 2 hrs. overall 5/10, not my pick for a return

Thanks for the info. How much did you tip?

what is their bussiness hours?

Their website says they are open 24 hours but there are a lot of mixed reviews.  Do tell us your experience if you visit.  Id like to know if its worth taking time out to visit for my next kaohsiung trip.

ok, Will arrive kaoshiong late evening, by the time I check in to the hotel will be around mid night. Hopefully, some fun at the sauna then. Probably will visit the sauna the next day if I couldn't make it upon my arrival.

When i booked my hotel thru agoda, I was having a hard time finding hotels in the city center on weekends.  They are all sold out as early as one and a half month away.  When they are available, they're 2x or even 4x the regular room rates.  I had to book an expensive hotel for friday because there's nothing available.

I have already booked my hotel in Kaoshiong. My hotel is pretty close to the railway station. According to the website, the Hi Man sauna is also near to my hotel. Care to share some of your tips and experiences? Foods, transportations and etc will definitely help a lot.

I dont have any tips and tricks as this trip will be my first time visiting kaohsiung.  This trip will be more for sight seeing than for the flesh.  hehe.

I booked the one in Kaohsiung station, are they vastly different?  I think the linsen one is a longer walk from the station.

kaohsiung station. rooms are nice. there is one small public bath but likely no "fun" there.

Linsen. rooms are not as nice (all in basement), but has a huge bathing facility. Multiple pools, sauna, steam room, and a lot of "fun"

Cancel the one in station, and stay at Linsen. Anyway none in the station, both about 5-10mins walk from the station. Linsen is definitely better. It's just like emperor Spa in Taipei, everyone is naked here at the bath in Linsen.

I will be in Kaohsiung in April and have already booked my accommodation elsewhere. Correct me if I'm wrong but from Google Maps it looks like non-staying guests can pay to use the bathing facilities. If that is the case I will just pop by for a visit.

These suggestions are noted and very much appreciated.  I canceled my booking at the kaohsiung station and transferred here.  I compared the pictures and the bathing areas are definitely much nicer in the linsen branch.

Bro, keep us update. I am keen to visit this Single Inn also. But, I have my hotel reservation somewhere else. Wondering will there be any happenings after midnight? I have a direct flight from SG to kaoshiung by China airlines and arrive Kaoshiung late evening.

I believe the bathing facilities are opened until midnight. I haven't stayed up to that late, though. But definitely not open for 24 hours.

Fun after midnight maybe in the dormbed. For single bed, only if you managed to sneak in someone who are staying there.

Definitely a good decision. Even if you don't managed to have fun, at least your eyes will be feasting on all those naked guys. FYi, the whole bathing place is brightly lighted. I love this place, will be staying here again in november during the kaoshiung pride.
