Hi guys,

I need some help.

I booked online train tickets from the Taiwan Railway Administration website.

When it comes to payment by credit card, the system asks for Outbound ID No. and Return Bound ID No. as well as Booking Code.

I have the booking code but I don't know what's 'Outbound ID No. and Return Bound ID'.

Does anyone know?

Thanks.

After all, tomorrow is another day. ~ S O'Hara

Your Outbound ID No, and Return Bound ID No should be your passport number, the one which you used to make the reservation.

Hi all, thought of sharing my second shorter trip to Taipei recently, to complete some "unfinished business" which I missed during my last trip 2 years ago, haha.
{ For those who are interested in my first scenic trip, you could read here. }

(a) Aniki Club
I am not so much of a sauna person, but I went to just have a feel how it is like in Taipei. It was a Friday night, and almost all of them were in their undies, so I followed as well. I would say it is pretty much similar to ours, except that the pools they have are much bigger, and you could see a row of guys showering when you are in the pool. They do have simple maze rooms, a big dark room for action (looks like for orgy??), and a TV/lounge/internet area. They only offered a small towel, which I find it too small for use after shower, but you can take many of it though (at the front counter). For those into action, you might want to go on Saturday, as they have a few different themes for all the Saturdays...

(b) Hot spring
I actually wanted to visit 川汤温泉 (Kawayu Spa) on a Saturday night, after 8pm as suggested by utopia. But when I reached at 9pm, there was no locker available and there were people waiting outside as well. I decided to go next door for 皇池温泉 instead. For both hot springs, you would need to bring your own towel, but you could also buy it there if you want (plus two NT10 coins for locker). I've read enough to know everyone is walking nude in there and they don't cover up (their dicks), I was worried I might have erection and it would be embarrassing, luckily that didn't happened. Everyone was nonchalantly walking around at ease, and you would get to see all types of "birds" - big, small, thick, slim, short, long, etc... Haha...

There are different types of pools with a dry sauna and wet steam room. I find this culture is something we lack here in Singapore, but of course it is that we have no hot spring here. I also saw many came together with friends (even father and son) and there were also some uncles sitting around chatting with their click, something carefree and "clothes-free", a really eye-opening experience for me, haha...

That's all folks, all above are my personal views which you might disagree.
Thanks.

Aniki is over rated I think. The facilities is ok, but not tip top. Quite hard to approach guys because no maze where u can approach your prey.

Office and rainbow are very rundown and dirty. Cockroaches everywhere. Now left, XL sauna. Anyone tried them before? Where to visit for a drink to pick up guys?

Any recommendation for sauna in Kaohsiung?

Anyone just came back or now still at Taiwan?

Though the weather forecast stated around 15 degrees, but I want to ask is it very cold?

If its like Genting Highlands then still ok but last year I went Hong Kong in early Feb, I need to wear down jacket (temperature about the same as Taiwan's weather forecast)

Thanks for the help

To me, the worst shopping experience is the 五分普。

It was nothing but just ten rows of little shops selling copycat clothes.

The prices aint cheap.. you get a better deal in Guangzhou, next to the railway station.

Sun Moon Lake is only worth one visit.

It was expensive and crowded with main-landers during my not-so-recent visit in Nov 2012.

Best places 是:

花莲- 小城故事

A simple town with only one major shopping complex.

Walk around town for a feel of serenity and nostalgia.

高雄 - 日本情怀

Visit the Hamas (Japanese for harbour/port).

Alight at the last subway stop and head for the tourist office.

For TWD 50, you enjoy a bus ride along the old part of the city.

Currently in Taipei.. Temperature can vary quite a lot one day from another. Biggest drop I experienced was 12 deg in 24 hours.

Currently around 15 deg.. But the difference is also very obvious if there is sunshine or not.

My advice is better be safe than sorry, esp if u cannot take cold.

Many locals wear a thin shirt or sweater but bring a thick down jacket just in case.

I just wear more layers.. If hot just strip :P

I know it's probably too early to ask.... anyone going Taiwan in October? :P

Been thinking of visiting Taiwan again, and looking for mates for hotel sharing or companionship. And probably someone who's interested in night scene like gay club or pubs :D

Not early. My friends and I have been discussing to go at the end of Oct where the Pride will take place. Likely to go to the night clubs or pub for some of my friends.

Decided to share my experiences on a recent trip in Taipei.

Visited 3 massage places...

1) YF Spa

Took the NTD2800 package, 2hrs for pressure massage and oil massage.

Masseur was good looking with washboard abs.

Service was so-so but what irked me the most was that the massage itself was over in 1.5hrs

I was in and out of the place in 2 hours.

In between there was even a police check!!!

2) Prime Spa

Price was the same as YF but there was a discount of NTD100 from travelgayasia.com

Masseur was also good looking with great body

Service was even worse than YF as the masseur was late and I had to wait for him to come

In between the pressure massage and oil massage masseur disappeared for another 10 mins

3) Royal

This is by far the best spa of the lot

Price was the cheapest at NTD2500 and further NTD200 discount from travelgayasia.com

Masseur was equally good looking as the other two (see the trend here, they all look good!!!)

Service was really REALLY good!! The moment I stepped in the masseur placed the slippers at my feet

At the end of the massage he even gave me a back scrub in the shower...

The massage itself was slightly over 2hrs which was GREAT!!!

And the ambience was also better than the other 2.

Anyway, will definitely visit only Royal next time I'm there!!

Nice! So you will be there when I visit then. What are your plans? Are both of your friends gay too? I will be there with my family but I told them I will meet my "friends" one of those days.

If you're planning on visiting the spas, hot springs etc. maybe I could join you guys together ;)

That's great, u guys planning to tour the whole island or just the city?

I traveled alone for my last trip, was planning to look for a different one this round. We don't have to stick together all the time, probably when you feel like having someone to chat with or for some random lunch or dinner.

Anyone keen can PM me:)

Just came back from Taipei CNY trip. Decided to visit the famous 川湯 hot spring. It turned out that most information about its happeningness was true!

I went on Sunday around 5PM. The hotspring was indeed small, with three types of pools and one steam room. There were all sorts of guys, of different age groups and types of looks, walking around totally naked. I did see several good looking and gymfit taiwanese guys, some came in groups of 2 or 3, and others came by themselves. From the way some people looked at me, I could tell that approximately more than 60% were PLUs.

The steam room was indeed small, crowded and happening. It was so crowded that people had to stand right next to each other, and that was why within minutes you could feel hands probing you. The more inside, the more actions there would be. I saw two guys in their mid 20s sitting in the innest side openly jerking each other off right beside everyone. That's the most daring action I observed in there.

Even though I heard about this culture in 川湯 beforehand, I was really shocked to actually observe them, because the hotspring is still considered a public place and fathers might bring little boys to come as well. Some kids below 10 even went inside the steam room now and then, and I really hope they didn't see anything...

But anyway I enjoyed the hot spring very much, walking out feeling totally relaxed and refreshed. And more importantly, there were totally naked eye candies in public, a relatively missing culture in SG.

Usually it includes the extra service. If you're really happy then you can tip more. It's up to you but they are not aggressive and will rarely ask for more.

Last time I had a massage in Taipei, I hit it really well with the therapist and we exchanged numbers and met again the following days but for free :) at the hotel.

Guest A fan of Taiwan

Just came back from Taiwan. Met a group of Singaporean at Tamsui on the evening of 23rd Feb but never get to talk to them. I knew they were Singaporean because one of them was wearing a SAF New Balance jogging shoe which i used to have... Tamsui is really a good place to find great food and it is less crowded then Shilin night market

The weather is quite comfortable about 17 deg C on average. You should bring along a light sweater as the weather can suddenly change to a cool 12- 14 deg C. I find that a good umbrella is sufficient and should be carried along for your outings as the weather can suddenly change from a sunny day to a gloomy drizzling day. We worn T-shirt and berm on some outings as the temperature is about 22-23 deg C. Taiwanese tends to over dress as you can see many people wearing thick jacket even though it is a hot day.
