From what I read, you were not clear how did you know you had contracted HIV. You only mentioned that you had raw sex with a GWM, 3 - 5 week ago and since you developed rashes, you checked the internet and you "found out" that you are HIV positive just because it mentioned about HIV rash.

So my Million Dollar question to you is "Did you had a HIV TEST?" (Where did you had the test?) or did you just assumed that you had contracted HIV from what you had read form the internet?

Also, you should go to AFA, they are really good at helping. AFA should not be asking you for money upfront, therefore there shouldn't be any money issue in the beginning. Keep us posted what AFA wants you to do, if there is something we can do, many of us here are more than happy to help.

From the medical standpoint, your HIV test should be further confirmed. If you only had the oral swap test, you need to get the blood test to confirm it. You also need to check for your CD4 count and viral loads.

The more important thing is many people are feeling you have been elusive about this angmoh guy, because number 1, if he does not know he status and continue to practice unsafe sex, many more people could be infected. Second, if he already know he status, and he lied to you about it, he can be charged and possibly go to jail. For the public safety, it is important that you talk to him or report it to the relevant authority. I know you are very stressful, but we also need to think of the public health implication. AFA can help you in this matter.

However, thinking of it deeper, if there is really this angmoh that love raw sex, I am sure the thread starter is not the only one that got fxxked by him. Considering that quite a huge number of gay in Singapore love young good-looking angmoh, many more could have already been infected by now. And I already received the letter to get into NS in June as I mentioned earlier.

Go and talk to the counsellors at AFA. They will be better in advising you on your next course of action with regards to your status.

They also hv the resources and experience in dealing with people from all walks of life who are HIV+.

BW is an open forum and it has all kinds of people with all kinds of views, but we are no counsellors and we can't help you with just words.

What you need is real help not words of comfort.

So get your ass off your PC and give AFA a call and make an appointment to see them soonest.

I suggest you call AfA hotline for advice if u need someone to talk to. Or drop by DSC clinic to see the counsellors there. It is better to talk to a professional rather than gathering advice here on the forum which can be mixed.

Your parents do not need to know if you do not want them to. The doctors will respect your decision.

Also you should go get your CD4 count done. If it is above 500, then there is no need to start medication YET. Your doctor will be in a better position to advise you on this. U only need to take medication once you convert to AIDs.

As of now, ur viral load should be very high and you risk spreading the virus out if you continue to play the field. Also u risk contracting other STIs as u are now vulnerable.

Afraid, this is like cancer etc. No one who has not suffered a similar loss can fully empathise with you. Let me re-emphasize -- the stigma is there, but it is only for your good. Can you imagine if a young patient comes collapsed in emergency dept -- the truth is that the strongest antibiotics as appropriate and even possibly antivirals and antifungals will be started (of course depending on clinical concern) if HIV +, if not, we may start some mid-tier antibiotics initially as assumed to be young and immunocompetent (default) -- the pt in the end gets his own disservice as proper treatment is started late. HIV is similar to cancer, diabetes etc (in fact worse if untreated) in causing immunosuppressed state.

Some of the more dangerous organisms activate only when the pt is immunosuppressed like in HIV.

Alternatively call up OC hotline, you can talk to them without revealing your identity

That's true, -Afraid-. If you did your tests at anywhere else, other than anynomous clincs, doctors are bounded by the medical directives to report your status (inclusive of your name as in NRIC, NRIC) to Ministry of Health for reference and monitoring.

Furthermore, if you have done two tests at a clinic (assuming with medical consultation), you should have receive professional medical advices by the examining parties on the follow-up actions.

Yeah, I went to AFA clinic for HIV test before as well. The counseller that who will be seeing you when you seek for the HIV test, will offer counselling and answer queries asked by you before and after your result comes out and i'm quite sure they will provide contacts and advise on how you can deal with your problem if your result came out to be positive.

I hope all of us will go for regular checks and get a status update on our health. Be responsible and dont just avoid checking just because of the law that those who already know they are hiv positive and go transmitting it around are punishable by law that intimidates us. I know some who fools around alot and don't want to get check as they are afraid if their result came out positive, they will be punishable by law for being positive and not letting those who they continue to fool around with know. those are really terrible people.

This year is my last year I can defer, and I fcuked it up and have to go to NS this year because I can't defer anymore.

And I already received the letter to get into NS in June as I mentioned earlier.

I remembered a guy posted saying even if I have HIV, I still must serve NS? Is it true?

Because if I won't need to serve NS, i can make use of the time to get back on track and get back to studying..

I don't know what exactly did I say to make you guys think that Im a scam. That is outrageously ridiculous.

The most I want or need is just a friend to accompany me through this phase which I dont know if it's possible..

So base on your latest posting, u are saying you need Someone who knows your status to be

1. emotionally where he will love you n treat you like a bf

2. financially where he will fork out your medication and take care of your expenses

3. physically where you need someone to talk to, cry to?

Having HIV+ is not at the end of the world.. Like my HIV+ friend say: it is a sexual handicap only.. Life goes on and you should start treasure every moment you spend time with your love one..

Like "just go AFA", blah blah.. which i know is the only way but i DON'T know what is stopping me from going.

The reason why I know i am poz? Because I had it CHECKED TWICE. BOTH test came back positive.

The angmoh, he stays near lavender, and I went to create a romeo account trying to find his account back and search through every pages, and his account is not there.

He is below 30, 28+ I guess, tall, pale, big brown eyes.

And if you guys think Im a scam, after money, then please don't bother replying here anymore.

I am just seeking help asking if there are any organisation that will help with my medications if I were to get help because I'm practically lost at what to do and my family has no capability to help with another hundreds bucks per month for my med!

Really sorry to hear your story. May I know what kind of test have you done?

To confirm HIV, you need to do blood test, the ELISA testing and later the western blot to double confirm it. IF you have not done either of this, I wouldn't say you are positive. Judging from your posts, you have not even visit AFA, there is no way you could have these kind of tests done, as these tests can only be performed in the laboratory and the government will also be notified of the result. The rapid oral test or the rapid finger stick test is BETTER AT proving negativity, but not positivity.

Besides that, I STRONGLY advise you to see AFA ASAP, you have to see a doctor ASAP so he can start you on medication. If you follow your doctor advise, HIV people can theoretically have a normal life span. Many people diagnosed with HIV in the 80s, are still living healthily till today.

Stay strong, go to AFA. They are the one who can help you. Keep us posted. Go register and be a member, don't worry about your confidentiality, I believe the moderators can assure you of it.

Bro still go to AFA for help , no matter if you need to serve ns or not . but still you need to face the problem even you don't felt like doing it . what u do in the past its already in the past but what you need to do now is face the music and live your life right

So hope you can find AFA soon. or find anyone you more open here to help you by going down AFA together.

1stly, HIV is very real. There have been videos and articles circulating around stating that pple with HIV are born with it, and it doesnt become AIDS, but its the medication, and the infection cannot be passed on. Its a LIE, and these are obvious ploy to get pple to have raw sex with them.

2ndly, there are quite a few gullible pple thinking that HIV cannot be passed on to u if u are the TOP. so They told me "if u top me u have to wear a condom, but I top you I can go raw"... pls do not believe in this!

I am sorry to learn about your situation. Suicide or doing anything that will hurt you not the solution. It is true what some said here you will hurt other people especially your loved ones. Despite the challenges you are facing from this very moment and for the family to accept you, eventually it will be a thing of the past as you are their son and sibling. Nothing and no one can take that away. Hang around with positive thinking people who will help you emotionally and mentally even if they can't help financially. For now, do your research and get whatever help you can. It is not like the 80s where people fell too soon but these days many still living healthily for a long time with medications and moral support from friends and loved ones. You seem knowledgeable about what is or is not a lie about HIV and AIDS. Do u mind that I ask on what happen to the immune system and health of a normal person without HIV who goes on aggressive HIV medication? Will his CD4 cell count increase and other health bio markers improve, or is the reverse true?

It is unlikely this will happen as doctors will not wish to blindly subject someone to antiviral therapy without thoroughly confirming the existence of infection and fulfilling the criteria to start antivirals.
