Recently I discover that there are discharges from my anus, especially in hot weather. These discharges makes the whole area very itchy. The matter gets worse when I fart. Are these the symptons of piles? I'm not a bottom. Anybody else experiences this problem and has a cure?

If eat too much fresh salmon, sometimes the excess oil will discharge from the anus

Discharge from anus could be a symptom of an sexually transmitted infection. You dun need to be a bottom to get something like that in your anus. Get medical help immediately - start with a swop test.

Complained to this handsome doctor about my fear of getting std and described to him about the condition of my "brother" Thought that he would examine to determine whether it is std or not. Unfortunately, he just tested the urine sample, gave some antibiotic and a bottle of potassium citrat. Will have to see him again in 2 weeks time. After consuming the medicine, it looks ok now.

Well, I got this baterial infection via oral sex while visiting one of the saunas. Symptons: high fever, nausea while my "brother" is covered with white "cheese" when retract the foreskin despite having washed it thoroughly the night before. Moreover, the base of the head appear to have some "translucent" circular ring.

Initially, I thought its okay to let others suck. Perhaps I am one of the unlucky fellow!

perhaps sauna operator must set a rule for blow and anal sex stictly with condom, to prevent std.every one must play their part while in the sauna.

it does sound like u have contracted herpes, a sexually transmitted disease. u can consult a dr in dsc in kelantan lane. its important to ascertain the correct diagnosis cos herpes can recur periodically n is infectious when the lesions appear. if it is indeed herpes, both u n ur partner should b counselled by a dr.

Good suggestion especially for those who are health conscious. Wanted to put this in my original TS but on second thought who would like to suck a condom!

You should have him run a standard HIV and STD tests for the following:

  • Syphilis
  • Herpes
  • Gonorrhea
  • Chlamydia

Chlamydia has no visible symptoms in men. You end up as a carrier and can spread to others. So have the doctor check on that as well.

The other thing to check too, particularly if you bottom, is for HPV.

Wow, so many tests need to undergo. No wonder the doc commented that few minutes enjoyment 6 months mental torture.(cos incubation period for Aids is 6 weeks to 6 months) He asked me whether it is worth it?

u can get Gonorrhea if the sucker is a carrier of the bacteria in his mouth.

i shudder the thought of the same mouth was used to suck other cocks prior to sucking mine...yucks.

its seem like a fever will always accompany a virus infection. if u have prolong high fever, better get tested.

Under section 377A (outrages on decency) in the Penal Code states that; Any male person who, in public or private, commits, or abets the commission of, or procures or attempts to procure the commission by any male person of, any act of gross indecency with another male person, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years. This means that all male same-sex sexual activity (including mutual masturbation, oral and/or anal sex) is still illegal and the punishment is up to two (2) years jail. However, this law is rarely enforced.[citation needed]

Can I even talk to my doctor about what I've done during medical tracing?

Hello all. Was just thinking that it would be appropriate that we educate the young(and perhaps, some old), about the different types of STDS and how u could actually get them. I have read through previous posts but the discussion mainly centered around HIV. I feel that there is a need to actually discuss about other STDS- how we could get them, symptons, methods of treatment etc and lastly, how we could avoid them.

1) Genital warts-> not too sure if this affects gays but i heard that u can actually get genital warts from someone who shows absolutely no symptons, so long as parts of the cock that's not covered by the condom comes into contact with another person's genitals? Personally i'm totally clueless with regards to this. Hopefully someone could afford me/us some enlightenment upon this issue.

2) Herpes

...

Perhaps we could compile a list, and ultimately pin it in the forums? Cheers! Hope to have u guys' support for this.

After reading so many posts about HIV/AIDS (http://www.blowingwind.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=18158&st=300) and DSC Q&A (http://www.dsc-sexualhealth.com.sg/qna_list.asp) websites, there is a sudden thought of having a thorough check-up on sexual transmitted diseases. I have been tested negative for HIV 3 months ago. And thought should brace myself with courage to take the remaining STI tests for my future partner.

A direct quote from DSC website:

“Not all STIs will surface with the signs and symptoms and can be tested. You can look out for genital discharge, rash, growth and ulcer as a gauge for infections. Since you had taken the blood test for HIV and Syphilis, you may wish to screen for Hepatitis B and Herpes. A Herpes blood test will be reliable if done under the Type Specific Serology Test (HSV TSST) for Herpes but it may not be widely available. This is to screen for previous exposure to the virus, which can be done 8 weeks after the exposure.

For a male, other screening involves swabs to be taken from the penis. Additional swabs may also be taken from the rectum and throat. You will need to hold urine for 4 hours before the swabs can be taken. The tests will screen for:

- Gonorrhoea

- NGU/Chlamydia”

Would anyone here like to comment what other tests like genital warts (can be undetectable until visual symptoms surfaced) can be tested so to ‘regain’ our STD free status?

If possible, any other clinics can provide STI testing other than DSC and what are the charges liked?

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

It's amazing when u find the threads that u create, who are obviously of certain substance, missing. I'm guessing it's probably merged into "HIV/AIDS", which i don't see how because the discussion was to be on other STDS apart from HIV. Good lord, HIV isn't the only STD in the world. We should pay attention to other STDS that can have prolong life effect such as HERPES, GENITAL WARTS etc. If u find it a waste of space/bandwidth or whatsoever having so many STD-related threads, why not merge all those bo liao threads we have on this forum? Goodness gracious.

if he has fully recovered from the disease and poses no risk of spreading it, why not??

but some STDs can never be fully "cured". Herpes for example can't be cured , treatment can be given to reduce the frequency of outbreaks or lessen the severity of the outbreaks. But the individual still has the virus in it's body and still poses a risk of spreading it during sex even when no ulcers or lesions are present.

it all boils down to how you define being "cured" ... cured symptomatically or really being rid of the pathogen entirely??

That's the problem when you post as guest. You can't track your post.

Your post was not merged with the HIV/AIDS thread because I DO KNOW the difference. Did you even bother to check to confirm what happened to your thread before you assume that it was merged?

Your post was simply moved backward when no one post anything on it.

OK. Now that you have a thread on STDs.

We are looking forward to your contribution to educate fellow BWers.

HERPES, is a gift that you carry for the rest of your life. it will come back again and again and again until the day you die.

HERPES is forever.

Seems to me that condom is effective to protect from HIV but not STD. Is this correct?

Is there a risk of contracting STD from nude body to body massage?

Besides government hospitals, national skin centre or DSC, are there any private clinic around that provides discreet STD screening?

Herpes, warts, lice, scabies maybe? Imagine they could have caught something from asymptomatic carriers or they themselves are.

Does anyone here have the experience of having an anal wart before? I have this small painful lump growing in between my anus and scrotum area a few weeks after I had anal sex. Are anal warts supposed to be painful? or is it a just a pimple?

Well it could be hemorrhoids/piles because from what I know warts are not painful they are just excessive flesh growing around your genitals [that's why it's call genital warts]

Unless u did it raw, there should be no major issues - just see a doctor if u are too concern abt it.

Do you bleed and see fresh blood in toilet bowl when you are passing motion?

If it is sharp pain when your stool is hard, then it could most likely be piles.

Don't scared yourself. :)

Is Sexually Transmitted Gonorrhea Becoming a 'Superbug?'

Rachael Rettner, MyHealthNewsDaily Staff Writer,

LiveScience.com – Wed Apr 20, 11:05 am ET

The sexually transmitted disease gonorrhea is increasingly developing resistance to all of the antibiotics we have to treat it in the United States, researchers warn.

In 2009, nearly a quarter of strains tested in a nationwide surveillance project of gonorrhea were resistant to penicillin, tetracycline, fluoroquinolones, or a combination of these antibiotics that are typically used to treat the STD. And early data from 2010 indicate resistance to another type of antibiotic, cephalosporin, is emerging. That's concerning because cephalosporins are the only class of antibiotic left that doctors recommend to treat the disease.

"This may be the harbinger of things to come," Dr. Kimberly Workowski, of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Division of STD Prevention, said of the early 2010 data. "The resistance may be getting worse," Workowski told MyHealthNewsDaily.

If resistance to cephalosporins develops, gonorrhea could develop into a superbug, and have a catastrophic effect on our ability to control the disease in the country, researchers say. A superbug is a strain of bacteria that has become resistant to antibiotics and is very difficult to kill. Other examples of superbugs include methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA ) and some strains of tuberculosis.

Experts are working on strategies to prevent antibiotic resistance, including treating the disease with several antibiotics at once. They also advocate protected sex and STD screening as ways to reduce the acquisition of gonorrhea.

Emerging antibiotic resistance

Gonorrhea is caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhea and is spread through sexual activity. Individuals with gonorrhea often show no symptoms, but the disease can lead to serious complications, including infertility and chronic pelvic pain in women, and in men epididymitis, a painful condition of the ducts attached to the testicles that may cause infertility if left untreated, according to the CDC. If the bacteria spread to the blood or joints, the condition can be life-threatening, the CDC says.

More than 301,174 cases of gonorrhea were reported to the CDC in 2009, though the agency estimates more than 700,000 people become infected with the disease each year in the United States. It is the second most common infectious disease that is required to be reported to the U.S. government.

Since the 1970s, the bacteria have become resistant to traditional antibiotics, including penicillin and tetracycline. In 1991, resistance to fluoroquinolone started to emerge. Researchers don't recommend treatment with these antibiotics now because, once a bacterium has developed resistance to a drug, that resistance can quickly develop again.

Researchers are seeing the emergence of gonorrhea that's resistant to cephalosporin in South East Asia. Typically, resistant strains from that part of the world migrate over to the U.S., and then spread from West to East, Workowski said. "The concern is that history tends to repeat itself," Workowski said. "It's following the same pattern that's happened before."

How to prevent resistance

To prevent the emergence of cephalosporin resistance, the CDC is now recommending the disease be treated with an injectable form of cephalosporin as well as another type of antibiotic, such as azithromycin or doxycycline.

The CDC, in collaboration with the National Institutes of Health, is also working to identify other drugs that might be used to treat gonorrhea cost-effectively, including drugs that target the bacteria in different stages of the life cycle, Workowski said.

The organization is also working to develop a response plan in case of an outbreak, Workowski said.

Pass it on: Gonorrhea could become a lot harder to treat if the bacteria that cause the disease develop resistance the last class of antibiotics we have to combat it.

i recently (about 1 week) experienced itchiness in the tip of my penis. when i pulled opened my foreskin of my uncut cock, i saw yellow, fishy-smelly substance trapped in it, including tiny white spots. it stinks! i wiped/washed it away but it kept coming back! when it first started, it only itched for a while, but now the itch just persisted throughout the day. this is the first time i'm experiencing this issue.

a guy recently sucked my cock before, but that was just for a very short while and i didnt even cum in his mouth. apart from this, i'm rather sexually inactive, just JO myself once every few days. will that oral experience pose a risk of infection? could it be a sign of STD, or just bacterial/yeast inflammation?

could someone please advise me on what i should do? go to NSC, DSC or a GP? or just wait and hope that it disappears?

thanks people.

Better see your GP tHe first thing in the morning.

Since the discharge keep coming back means you know your body can't get rid of the infection.

So you might need injection or medicines or antibiotics. Better hope it isn't herpes or else it can keep coming back .

Are you reluctant to go because you fear the doctor might figure out your gay? Don't worry... straight people get STD's too. If you are going to explore your sexuality with others it's a risk you have to accept.

It does sound like a doctor's visit is the best choice. Maybe look for the post that was looking for a "gay friendly" doctor. You'll feel more relieved once you've been to the doctor.

So what if it's an STD? Life is full of lessons so treat this as a "learning experience". This is a great opportunity for you to get to know yourself better and what type of "life" you want to build for yourself. You are maturing and learning what "boundaries" you want to put into place for yourself to lead a "happy" life.

I wish you the best on this wonderful journey we call "life". It will always be filled with "ups" and "downs". You are no longer a child. Sex is an “adult” activity with “adult” consequences. So if you choose to lead a mature, adult, independent life then you will have to accept making “adult” choices. Some choices you will make in life will be good while others will be less desirable but that's okay. At least you are starting to think for yourself. You are becoming a “man”... now isn't that worth celebrating?

I know I’m off topic but really just want to give you love and support at the start of your journey into adulthood.

can be chlamydia. if bacterial, quite easy to treat. of course hiv has become like diabetes, ischemic heart disease etc. viral warts (herpes) will never go away totally (die down and come back in stress) but can at least ameliorate.

bottomline is to seek treatment. if a doctor can't handle this, he cannot be one too good. so is the attendant outside. actually dsc (kelantan clinic) should be ok. i thought it was set up so that people who shun usual clinics will still seek treatment.
