iamziz
Then cook for Mom and Dad on V-day. Postpone your lovey lovey day to next day or other days. Not necessarily die die must do it on V-day when everything is expensive and over-rated. If die die must have it on V-day, go to a food court or fast food. Cheap. Nicer. And genuinely romantic. azimuth
My thought is that if you want to avoid the stares, avoid valentine's day themed restaurants. Go to ordinary restaurants such as Astons, Eighteen Chefs, etc, where you will blend in with the general dining crowd not celebrating this occasion. What's more? You save $$$ too by not paying extra surcharges associated with this occasion.
Coolbriz
One old school yet still applicable way to celebrate is to go to a quiet corner of a park, especially those with shelters / pavilions. Prepare a simple meal: suggested menu: mashed egg salad, grilled chicken or fish fillet and a dessert like cake. All these can be packed and eat out. Bring along a wireless Bluetooth speakers and play the songs that both of you enjoy. That's it, a simple, memorable and meaningful dinner spent with your loved one Be cool, like a breeze... I've never tried these places, but hearsay it's quite gay friendly: 1. PS Cafe 2. Tanjong beach club
