xydboy
And so...the first guy (james clear) seems to be slapping himself quite a little. Got to be critical here, but yes, he did mentioned and cite many studies. But look at the different protocols (alternate day fasting, etc), and different study design (rat models vs human models), there isn't a clear consenses as of now on the effects and benefits of IF. Most studies are done using the period of Ramadan fasting (possible due to ethical reasons, you just can't starve a person, ethics committee might not allow it). And during the period of Ramandan, people take breakfast and then go on a whole day fast. So if we were to be following the protocols on this bulk of study, then by right, we should be taking breakfast, no? So why cherry pick and say that breakfast should be omitted just because xxx said so on xxx website? If we were to look at breakfast study, where people compared skipping breakfast vs not skipping breakfast, there will be a tonnes of research conducted. We could extrapolate the data from there, and if we were to gel them together, and if IF does work, then perhaps breakfast shouldn't be skipped? Think about it.. qqqueer
I know this post is a little old but want to jump in. Skipping breakfast causes many concerns, first: insulin resistance. This means you become more and more susceptible to type 2 diabetes. Second: starvation mode. Your body in starvation mode doesn't know what to do with food you consume later in the day. Depending on your body, your system would either absorb everything or reject everything. Personally I've always been super slim. No matter what I ate I just didn't gain. Then I started eating breakfast. Regardless of what I had the rest of the day I started bulking up. I shared this with some friends, some wanted to gain some wanted to lose. Those who wanted to lose weight just had a heavy breakfast and light snacks the rest of the day and saw great results too. If you want further references just look at the various journals of clinical nutrition. Like American journal of clinical nutrition. lovehandle

Guest Guest
I combined IF with metabolic training and cut body fat from 18% to 13% at age 45. Not sure which is the key factor though. My program: odd days - skip breakfast but eat 20% more calories as its weight training day. even days - same meal timing but 20% less calories. No weight training, but cardio like jogging, swimming or hiit Sunday - rest

stellabell
In order to loose weight, you can try to eat guava. there is a zero amount of cholesterol in guava. Additionally, the carbs only exist in guava with relatively low amount as well. Meanwhile, guava contains many proteins, minerals and vitamins, not to mention its richness of dietary fiber Therefore, guava is an ideal choice to make your appetite satisfied easily. You will feel full for a longer period of time after consuming guava. Surprisingly, even thin people can benefit from guava which is supportive for weight gain. As it is full of nutrients, guava can enhance your metabolism and nutrient absorption from foods.
