I wanted to start this thread for the few or the many who needs grooming advices. So feel free to raise your queries here, and hopefully the wonderful people here can help out.

Let me start then,

So, I recently started shaving. I was kinda apprehensive about the whole shaving process in general, so I decided I ought to experiment a bit first. Hence, I decided to shave my armpits.

I think I did an ok job, but shit happened the next day ... my armpit hair started growing back again. Now, it's damn uncomfortable and I have no idea what I else should I be doing besides moisturizing it. Can anyone help me with this?

You just started shaving? Sorry, how old are you again?

Hey, I'm 20 this year, except for my facial hair, and tekong, I never really shaved any parts of my body. So, yes I have decided to shave my armpits eventually my secret garden ...

Are you using a manual razor to shave? And did you use shaving cream?

Or if shaving is uncomfortable for you, you can try using hair removal cream. You can buy those from Watsons, Guardian, etc.

Hi there,

Thanks for taking time to reply! I used a manual razor to shave and applied shaving cream with it. I  would say I removed 99% of the hair except for the few mini ones that I had trouble removing. Is there a difference between a manual shaver and an electric one? Would an electric one be better?

I don't really have much experience with an electric razor but generally manual shavers are more precise at removing hair though you may feel itchier after you shave as compared to an electric razor.

But personally, I would recommend using hair removal cream for your armpits. No pain, no hassle. Just apply the cream, wait 10 mins, then scrape the hair off and wash with water, and you're done. Leaves the area smooth after the hair is gone too. (It's what the ladies use...)

I guess it's time to get that :) Thanks!

Make sure you do a patch test for depilatory cream, it may burn (I'm not kidding, that's what it does). If you can bear the pain, opt for waxing instead.
