Wonder if there were people who had complained to the staff about being cruised or having their privates looked at too intensely...haha

Probably. But I'm pretty certain at least one of those staff manning the towels bench gets his fair share of enjoyment looking too ;)

are the guys there to cruise or to chill and relax?

I just came back from there and a few guys kept walking over to the sauna room door to see who is inside than walk over to the steam room do a 3 point turn inside and walk out..they do this every other min like its a gay sauna or something. What do they expect to find ? a full on orgy?

a few of these guys are not bad looking with nice bods so not sure why go there to cruise.

Isn't it better to go to a proper gay sauna.. Unless you can have sex there now.

Because this is a straight Spa at least there's nobody dare to intrude too freely? At least they won't dare to touch you until you responds! Safe? haha

What annoys me most about this place are guys who walk into the steam room and don't close the door behind them. What do they think? Everyone is so in awe of his magnificence that they will rush to close the door behind him? So arrogant!

Some people doesn't know what is ethics!

I think some of them didn't realize that the door doesn't swing close by itself as in some other steam rooms. So it's not intentional.

I was there yesterday afternoon around 3.30 PM, I was in the steam room with 2 fit guys. Me and 1 fit guy was sitting and the other fit guy was rubbing salt all over his body, while he was rubbing his ass, he was making those steamy sound, LOL...That made the other guy and me smiling. After the salt show, the guy left the steam room, left me and the other fit guy inside. Then he smile and signal me over, and ....hehe

Despite the warm environment, Yunomori seems like a pretty cold place socially.

The only people who seem to smile or make eye contact are the service staff. They're really sincere and welcoming.

In the pools, people sidle up close to you (despite there being so much space elsewhere), but studiously avoid any eye contact when you look in their direction.

No smile, no acknowledgement of your presence,  just stoic blank expressions while following you around and around an arm's length away.

Quite bizarre.

Hahaha there's all sorts of people. But I  agree. Many locals have attitude problem.  Male and female.

Don't think it's an 'attitude' problem so much as cultural. For those going to the onsen, most probably have specific agenda of just relaxing (cruising not included). And whereas in the authentic Japanese counterparts, strangers do say hi and talk even with language barrier, seems like it's just culturally less appropriate in SG? Even if you say hi, many will just end the conversation after replying with a simple hi then looking away, gay or not. Oh well.

Bad culture isn't it?  I wonder if it's parents or education.

Lol... just the Chinese 'guy' manliness expectation? Fathers display less affection and emotion, suck it up for everything... good to even get 'good job' from him even if did well in school... then again, if did badly, he wouldn't say much other than 'must try better next time'. :D

Hey, im new to Younomori. How busy is it on Sundays? Do the crowds build up morning or afternoon?

Should be quite quiet as I don't foresee any major Sports activities or events near the vicinity .
