Anyone sweats too easily and a lot?

Botox can help with excessive sweating but you need to get it done every so often. I swear easily as well and I've learnt to work around it. I.e. I wear a tank top or tee shirt to work but change into shirt when I get into the office. Also I arrivé like 15 minutes earlier to cool off in the lobby or nearby coffee shop first etc.

I read Botox deceases in effectiveness over time though and it's more suitable for  localized areas of sweating like hands or armpits rather than full body?

You are correct. For all over the body, you probably best carry extra clothes with you.

I got no choice, as in my shirt will get wet and stick to my body and make me feel uncomfortable. Usually i also need to carry an extra shirt with me too.

As long as i'm not under the aircon or fan, and i start to move around i will start to perspire and sometimes it can get very irritating. 

A lot of my friends told me perspiration is good, i can get rid of the toxic inside my body but mine is excessive sweating. 

Do you need to drink a lot of water?

i perspire alot too. My forehead will soak in sweats the moment I start walking or do simple tasks. I think of it this way, perspire more is good as it helps to detox the body, and because of perspiration I drink a lot more plain water. I am happy that I drank 3 to 4 litres of plain water everyday.

 

On & off I will ask my ex, do I smell, especially after perspiration, just to be sure of good personal hygiene. I use antiperspirant / deodorant and like what others are saying bring an extra t-shirt.

 

The most embarrassing moment  is when having sex with the bottom, my sweat will drip onto his face or body. hahahaha

I used to sweat a lot when I was fatter, my shirt will be drenched with sweat just by sitting under the sun for a few minutes.

I supposed whatever we consume contributes to the sweat issues as well. High caffeine intake for example.

Haha.. I also sweat alot. Understand the above situation. My sweat like rain on my btms body. 

I can even sweat in the shopping malls. My friends always say that you are raining inside the mall. Quite extreme.

I notice that most who sweat easily also have good soft complexion because their skins are well moisturised.

 

I too sweat easily especially my groins. When my top fuck me, our groins are so wet together he say I am wet like woman watering very sexy.

Are you overweight? Fat people tend to sweat more.

 

But there are special cases like myself, I am slim fit and carry weights regularly but still sweat easily. Just a 5 mins slow walk and sweat will be pouring down profusely. It is partly due to Singapore's humid weather. Kinda annoying to see people around me not sweating and giving a damn.

@Samsam -  You mentioned you are in NS. I reckon you are, at most in your early 20s.

Back then when I was at your age, I even had a nickname given by my friends -  "han bao bao" (supposedly to translate to hamburger, but it means sweaty baby. Lol)

I was rather fit too.

Furthermore our climate has also became hotter.

Most people perspire a lot. As a matter of fact, a TCM once told me is normal to perspire; and it may not be so normal for your other friends not to perspire (so much).

 

Keeping yourself hydrated helps. Also, constant exercise of sweating out helps too. Take things a little slower if you can (example: if you usually take 5 mins to walk to the MRT, maybe you can it in 7 mins or so).

 

Unless, you are perspiring for no reason, then you may wish to go for a thorough body check. Else, do not worry too much.

 

p/s: even at my age, I still perspire easily...

Some people sweat too much, some people don't sweat at all.  I once knew of a technician who doesn't sweat.  Even when working under the hottest conditions, he doesn't sweat and his clothes are as good as new.  Others are drenched and soaked in perspiration, but he looks as if he came out of an air-conditioned room.  That might not be good too.

One secret I shall share with you guys...instead of using so many products or try so many ways and means to cool your external body, the best way, I find, to sweat less (I think its impossible not to perspire at all) is to cool your internal body.  Before I leave the house, especially on a hot day and you need to walk a little in the heat, I would take an ice cold can of drink or ice cold water bottle and take sips as I walk in the heat.  It does wonders.  When the inside of your body is kept cooler, it keeps you cooler from the inside out.  Actually I discovered this when I was playing matches in the sun at 2/3pm in the afternoon when the sun is at its worst....I realized that when I kept cooling my internal body with cold water, the external heat (which otherwise would be simply unbearable) became much more bearable.

Try it, and let me know the results.

If under hot environment and yet still don't sweat, it is no good, can have risk of heat stroke. And if you are in air con environment and still sweat, it is also mean something wrong.

You may try to visit a TCM -  see what he/she says about your condition. As I said, unless you are sweating like no tomorrow, else is rather normal. Even on days that I am home (topless), I can feel the tiny little perspiration on my body, hair etc...

Yes, cooling internally is good. Just a gentle reminder, do not take too much cold drinks. In the long run, not too good for our body. :)

 Always find how reliable TCM is? As we usually dont know what they put inside the power or pills that given to us? Unlike western medicine, at least we know the name and ingredient of the medicine.

止汗 med is for extraordinary amount of perspiration. It isn't meant to stop perspiration especially for those healthy ones after sport.

 

For those of u wary of tcm, start with those charity clinics,  many around eg. Zhonghua, ciji, sbfc etc. No reason for them to con since they only charge minimally.

Excessive sweating can be diagnosed as a medical condition, I have a full body excessive sweat, it's embarrassing and annoying but there is very little that can be done for it.
Someone mentioned  Oxybutynin in this thread, I have some from my Dr in a previous country, it does work, there are side effects. It is not a drug designed to stop you from sweating, it is a drug designed for other purposes and a side effect is body dryness, that includes the eyes, and the mouth and everywhere else. I only take mine if travelling, and then I need to also carry eye drops, and breath mints designed to moisten my mouth. The other possible side effects from it are bladder retention, loss of mental ability and turing red for a prolonged period, Thank fully I don't have these effects.

The other thing is prescription strength anti persparent, Dr's give this out but very infrequently tell you how to use it properly. It's main ingredient will probably be Aluminum chloride, off the shelf antiperspirants may contain 1 or 2%, super strong off the shelf stuff maybe 4%, over the counter you may get 5 or 6% you doctor if required can give you 15% (which I use) up to in worst cases 30%. Thses figues are all for the liquid ones. The thing the Dr's don't say is that you don't use it like you would with a normal spray or roll on. You need to wash and clean the area fro aplitaction, dry as normal and then dry further, use a hair dryer on cool setting or just rest for 15 mins to an hour for you skin to be properly dry, apply the solution and leave to dry for around 5 mins, then, and this is the ultra key part, leave on for 5 hours or longer while trying to not sweat, over night if you don't get night sweats is purfect. during this time the active ingredient can properly get into your body and stop the parts that create the sweat, and it will last from 2 days to a week, depending on your body, the aplication, all sorts of factors.
There is a product you can ship from the States that is a towel for easy aplication, like a face wipe but for the area of your body you want o not sweat.

I've suffered with excessive sweating my whole life and know how bad it can make you feel, but you have to try and remember, nearly everyone sweats, especilly when it's 30 degrees out side and 20 inside. Anyone that want's to PM to discuss further or get brand names or other advice you are welcome to, if you need the advice then neither of us should be embarrassed as we are both in the same boat.
