Make sure you dont go to the wrong person/place. I think he is in B2 - the very lowest basement level whatever that is. There are 3 massage places in Lucky Chinatown, Oceanic and another one, not sure what the place is called. Give Oceanic a miss unless you want hanky panky and so so massage. Just to share. Last month I engaged one of many masseurs in Jakarta, after reading so many ads in the local newspaper, most of the masseurs stated in their ads that no SMS would be entertained.

So, when the masseur arrived in my hotel room, I asked him what the reason for not replying SMS? The china man is xiao zhao. He look a bit stocky...or I should said big body size. Massage is not bad. Very firm stroke which I like. But the only thing that I don't like is he very persistance of getting you a HJ. If you ask him for the cost of HJ which he charging 30. I remember that I have told him once that I dont feel like having one, he will keep trying and trying. Is like he will not continue massage as he will keep trying to make you happy. For me, is I have no intention of ahving HJ, I dont expect him to continue on trying. This really make me feel uneasy. Heard from friend, he dont like ppl to touch him during massage and he will sit on the massage bed while perform HJ. You dont have any chance of touching him.

Last week I visited Nic from Shunfu after seeing rather positive comments of his massage on the forum. But I was so wrong. Let me state the facts here and you guys can decide for yourself.

1) As what most people said, he wasn't really able to address all the acupoints and the sore areas even though I told him my problem areas are shoulders and neck. I also told him prefer stronger massage especially these areas. Ended up it's not strong enough on these areas but too strong on my legs which were never my problem areas.

2) Most of his massages were done with the towel covering and the towel was quite thick. I seriously do not think that would be very effective in addressing the acupoints and the exact problem spots. He is only massaging the mass area and hopefully can hit the spot.

3) Before we start, he asked how long I want the massage to be and he suggested 90 mins straightaway before I can answer. Ok, that was my mistake for not insisting on 1 hour. I reached there at 7pm and by the time I was paying, it was 5 mins to 9pm. So, he told me should be 2 hours charge but he give me discount so he charged me $70. But I remember we decided on 90 mins which is $60. He should stick to the time agreed and should not charge me more right? He didn't ask if I want to extend.

4) And for the 9pm, it wasn't 2 full hours anyway. I went to shower twice, before and after. And after the massage, I was very shocked that he left me lying there. He never tell me that I can rest and when I am ready I can go shower. Then he went outside and watch TV!!! So after about 15 mins, I really don't think I should be lying there like a corpse so I walked out and said I wanted to shower. And he dare to include the 15 mins that I was just lying there?

5) There was no massage bed option, only the mattress.

6) He was very concerned about covering me with the blanket than massaging me.

He do have a lot of certificates displayed in his room showing that he learnt TCM Tui Na and Shiatsu massage but seriously, I don't think he is good. And the "trying to charge me more" makes me feel cheated.

ok...just visit him last night(Sunday or should be monday 12am). I call him around near to midnight cause I just want to have a massage . Feel very sorry to call him this late. He charge a bit ex but seen I have a urge for a massage, I dont mind.

I agree that he is using a mattress for massage but his reason is he is not tall enough if he get a massage bed. truely this is a valid reason of using mattress.

For his massage, he can be very strong if you request. He even holding my leg and swing from left to right, right to left couple of time when I still facing downward. Wow, it is a special experience.

He ask me couple of time whether the strength of massage is ok.......he concerning of the strength of massage. It is nice that he ask once in a while.

Massage is ok only, dont feel too much strength, more to a relaxing massage definitely not hard massage .........although he said he had quite a number of experience in oversea spa. I dislike a bit about him is he too chatty. Unable to relax is he keep talking throughout the massage.

2nd HBM is by "busybody" Ben in Potong Pasir. Quite a friendly chap.....quite attentive and friendly chap. But he let me feel that I just a client only, just doing a servicing job only. In term of friendies, I still like the guy in AMK ave10. He let me feel relax during the massage although a bit too chatty.

Then the 3rd is Nic which I mention above. for a stocky guy like me, I can feel his strength of massage. Like it alot!!! will visit him again. But maybe trying other new HBM next time.....

To be fair, I don't think massuers should have a habit of choosing their clients.

They do have their rights. But they should not. It's work ethic.

Except of cos for the obvious reasons that clients are oversized, larger built than massuers or clients have skin problems etc....

while u run a business, no doubt at home, u should try to be as pro as possible

I do have bad experiences from clients who went overboard and make unusual request,i felt very traumatise at one stage and thought of stop giving massage services.Massage is still my passion till today, since i started out more than ten years ago.

Gosh, so you admit to cheating your clients by billing them the extra time which they did not ask for.

You said that you were unable to return calls or smses? Unable or unwilling? Maybe it's because you think you don't need their business. Ha, that's because you make enough from cheating your previous clients!

Massage is not really your passion, it's just an occupation to you, a means to make money. Nothing wrong with that, except you need to incorporate ethics and basic courtesy into what you do. If you don't, you should seriously consider an alternative to this customer-service related industry.
