Guest Guest
Man charged with pushing old woman down busSINGAPORE: The man who pushed an old woman down a bus along Upper Thomson Road has been charged in court.Twenty-five-year-old Ong Kok Hao is accused of hurting 76-year-old Hwang Li Lian Nee Lye on bus service number 167 at about 3pm on June 5 this year.Ong is said to have used his right hand to push the old woman on her back, causing her to fall on the steps of the bus.The incident was captured in a two-minute video and uploaded on YouTube. The video shows Ong suddenly flying into a rage at Madam Hwang for pressing the bell at the last-minute along Upper Thomson Road.A shouting match then ensued and during the heated spat, Ong threatened to slap the woman, before pushing her down the bus.Ong's lawyer Eddie Koh will be making representations to the court. The case will next be mentioned in December.- CNA/fahttp://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1235739/1/.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fjveGr7wTE

MPs are trying to get NUS to publish those 'more' punishment. Some young kids nowadays are beyond control.....What are the "more" punishment? Why cannot publicize?- To record a 10 hours of sex video for the NUS library archive?- To become the subject for researching the man's endurance when having sex?- To become test subject for medical school's Urology department?- To study him for scholarship holders' fashion sense - lime green T-shirt & rainbow color cap? Guest Sex n the City
To each his own. Many people who critiicised Alvin have many reasons. They have the rights to say things as much as the couple has thru their own consensus act. The couple took a lot of courage to do what they love doing and were open about it, very unlike the so-called pxxnless elitist flyers with hungry sex beast dying to burst whenever an underaged girl stripped or there is business venture to gain in private. There is no right or wrong answer. He provided the entertainment we needed and is a good deal which come free for the viewers thru the unstoppable internet world. If you think he is not your type, you will have a lot to say about him but if he happened to be the kind that meet your sexual critieria you will support him all the way. I am no different so I will not criticise anyone like him.If sex is a dirty object, than many people will criticise all the Xtube actors and actresses when it started.Everyone who criticised him being morally wrong have probably jerk off in front of their videos already, am I not wrong? A wrong is a wrong whether you did it in private or in public view. So don't act you are cleaner than Alvin and Silvia. He mentioned, his parents have been supportive and as such what rights do strangers have being unsupportive? Because our soft sensitive feelings wer hurt? I love this parting words from him. It reminds me of a fundamentalist christian who criticised a gay person when his parents have already endorsed him because that christian felt hurt when they saw a gay guy? If he isn't a tax-paid scholar, I believe nobody will start judging. The whole issue about the videos probably has nothing to do with their sex play but instead used as political card to make the "purer than white" pxxnless elitist govt look bad for idolising foreign talents to the core and Alvin happened to be the unintentional scapegoat - which is the core of the whole saga. Otherwise, his action is nothing more than a pxxn video among many pxxns human love to watch all days. Whether he is sensible or not is not the point, he is honest, frank and a straight forward guys that is hard to find in straight or gay world, that makes him very humble given his potential status as compare to some mininster's children or china scholar who started to think they can look down on other lesser mortal than them. If alvin can make it big someday as a person, not sexually, he can become a compassionate leader. He minced no word that he will continue to do what he did. This is the kind of honesty we need from elite instead of some elites who appeared pure from the outside but full of hidden agenda from the inside. I rather see a person for being opened rather than hiddened. I think I know alvin better than our politician, just by his short video alone. I would love to have sex with him for his bravery and honesty, if he is into gay and don't you guys judge me after that because I know you pretty well what you love to see as much as what I love to do. That is enough said already. drinkup

happy.99
do the world think what they have done is a crime? a crime like father f**k daughter? man r*pe woman? this kind of video is happening in other countries all the time. couples video other own sex act. but should public shoot them for doing so? the real culprits are the one who whine behinds but themselves secretly view the tape and enjoy it. how many of you say you disapprove it but yet you search for the video and view it?we are all human beings, having sex is a normal thing. why are we hiding it? the fact is that when you walk around you, the people you meet look normal but behind, they had the wildest sex you never dream of. stop judging people. Blame it on cam-phones and tablets. With access to the technology, anyone can be involved in a pxxn. What Alvin and Vivian did was nothing extraordinary.Consensual sex between adults is permissible. What Alvin did not anticipated is the conservative reactions.Alvin got his 15 mins of fame and now, he should go put everything aside and continue his studies. He plan to be famous, do something bigger than the bond for being a scholar. He is confident that the fame will come with immediate monetary reward that no amount of jobs can match. He is certain his parents will approve of it eventually if the result of his actions and dreams crystalised. You should respect his wish instead of being such a nag. Going to school doesn't make a person happy if he has no passion for what he was studying. I trust he is a brilliant guy and had charted his path long before the video came out. it was a caculated risk and he has no regret. Though I can't say the same about Vivian, she looks quite "stupid" and horny kind of Ah Lian who can't even answer the interviewer property and Alvin has to step in to help her out. Guest thinktwice
It is understandable that one condemns Alex Ong naturally immediately after reading this but maybe if we think about this on another perspective we might not be too quick to judge.Alex Ong has been diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. He has been a victim of bullying since he was young and I believe this has resulted in much pent up hate and negativity in him. People with autism have a natural tendency to correct people. They are incapable of thinking like typical people about the consequences of telling people how to do things correctly or how to do it tactfully.Yes, I do not deny that what he has done is wrong and hurtful and I am not trying to defend him. Instead, I just hope that we do not judge things too quickly on face value but take time to evaluate both sides and perhaps we'll be able to think twice before simply throwing out our judgements upon people with such disorders.Because ultimately, only people with such disorders would be able to understand how it feels to be in his shoes. Guest Guest
I read the ST today (11 Dec) on punishment meted out by the court on corruption and for misappropriating money. From the brief report, I do not know the real thinking in the mind of the judges. However from the little facts extracted from the papers, readers can draw your own conclusion: Title: Ex-CNB man jailed for pocketing suspects' cash Title: AGC not appealing against ex-SPH exec's sentence Name & Age: Muhammad Nur, 30, joined CNB in 2008 Peter Khoo,49, one of Top Executives Salary: (estimate: should be 2 or 3K) Should be in the high of 5 figures Amount: $7,000 seized from suspects $196,500 in kickbacks and vouchers Time Committed: 2010 2006 to 2010 SENTENCE: 13 months jail. (Prosecution pressed for one year jail.) SENTENCE: No jail. (Pressed for 6 to 8 week jail.) Fine only $100,000.

The story behind each of the crimes is pretty important to the judges and juries decision too.Plus the Peter Khoo's case could have just be settled. Maybe if they filmed just court at work then we couldGive our opinions I suppose.

The cats have been relocated. 26 dogs are left, who no one can take in. They were going to be put to sleep. I couldn't let that happen, so SOSD has taken over the shelter, against all common sense.Because the dogs have all been caged up for years, many of them are not well socialised, even aggressive. Many are known to be heartworm positive and ill. It is going to be SOSD's greatest challenge yet. I have spent many nights wondering how we can pull this off. We need all the help we can get - media coverage, funds, volunteers. Any help is appreciated. Please help spread the word Please email sostreetdog@gmail.com if you can help.
