And from that name you know the mother is a foreigner?

It's already bad enough to see foreign trash pimping out his foreign trash mother here in the country. But it brings it to an entire new level of offensiveness when another foreign trash steps in to imply a local doing it. One fine day, the nationality "Singaporean" will be associated to every single crime in the world, simply because the foreign trash are pinning everything on the locals.

MAKING A MOUNTAIN OUT OF A MOLEHILL
by Teo Soh Lung

The Committee of Privileges (COP) has made history! For the first time in Singapore’s parliamentary history, it has recommended that two witnesses be referred to the public prosecutor for further investigations for allegedly speaking untruths during the committee’s hearing. Poor Pritam Singh and Faisal Manap! And poor Sylvia Lim too.

Sylvia Lim is apparently spared because she had cooperated with the COP. Really? Is the COP so kind? Or is it just wayang?

Make no mistake. PAP leaders are never kind or magnanimous. If they can eat you up, they will. This “Making Mountain out of a Molehill” Raeesah Khan saga is just another scheme (paid for by taxpayers) to demolish the Workers’ Party. PAP leaders are sophisticated schemers. Letting Sylvia off is just an attempt to divide the party. If they succeed, they would gloat.

Another possible reason for letting Sylvia off is to prevent the accusation of an overkill. The COP has to pretend that they are fair minded, that they give credit where credit is due. They like to reward “when reward is due”. Conferring the title of “Leader of the Opposition” is one such reward that attempts to blind the beneficiary of the title. Only the gullible would fail to read the motive behind.

What harm did Raeesah Khan cause? Nothing really. She exaggerated her role, (probably with the aim of making it more credible) when she claimed that she accompanied a victim to the police station. She forgot that PAP leaders are vultures in parliament, ever ready to pounce on the slightest error.

Did she cause anyone to be jailed? No! Did she cause anyone to lose his reputation or job? No.

The Reform Party in its press release of 12 February 2022 concluded:

“No Opposition politician is safe in Singapore from the first breakthrough MP J B Jeyaretnam with his frequent and scathing attacks on the Government to the modern day compliant politicians. This will continue to be true until at least one-third of the seats in the House are under Opposition control.” (https://tinyurl.com/4rmes972)

I agree with the statement with reference to parliament. Despite the popularity of JB Jeyaretnam, the PAP leaders have no qualms in referring him, on various occasions to the committee of privileges over petty matters. For example, as a resident of Anson, I had received newsletters reporting on the committee’s proceedings. I was shocked that even that was wrong in the eyes of PAP leaders.

With regard to opposition politicians in general however, they have never been safe since the Barisan Sosialis was born in 1962. They were arrested, tortured and detained without trial. Even elected members of parliament suffered detention under the Internal Security Act. Lee Tee Tong was arrested,  humiliated and imprisoned without trial for 18 years. Two other MPs suffered detention too - S T Bani and Loh Miaw Gong.

The 4G leaders have to resort to all kinds of tricks because they know that their opponents are more capable than them. As in their record and history, every opponent must be nipped in the bud. They must never be able to gather enough strength to topple the PAP. Losing Aljunied GRC and then Sengkang GRC are lessons they will never forget.

Today, the PAP is not in a position to destroy opponents without receiving some flak in return. People are better informed. Many of us can see where Singapore is heading to if we remain silent and do nothing. We realise that we have to take responsibility for ourselves, to build a Singapore that is kinder and not always geared towards making money and ensuring a prosperous Singapore where the benefits belong to the powerful and the rich.

How is this even news but a propaganda piece by the Opposition Parties supporters. Pathetic  !

Ya, the PAP is not perfect, heartless or cruel or whatever you name it.  But please hor, the Opposition Parties are no saints either. As for the WP scandal,  please, it's the WP SUPPORTERS  who revealed the truth  behind the whole event. It's disgusting for a party who tout itself to be a checker on the ruling party but yet have integrity and leadership issues within the party. What  I see is the leadership of WP throwing party  members under the bus to save their own skins.  Low Thia khiang may truly have a sincere heart to serve the country well but  his current party is a joke

WP supporters can  say whatever they want to save their party but  do  note that there's the other side of the population that are utterly disgusted by WP's responses and actions to the saga.

The point over which I stumbled all the time was that Raeesah Khan was referred to the Committee of Privileges for her conduct. The proceedings were not initiated against other persons.

Were there any proper proceedings if the Report opens questions or alleged misconduct on other persons who were not actual subject of the investigations by the Committee?

In that case any Members heard as witnesses should remain silent during any such proceedings.

Does the old Latin legal principle of nemo tenetur se ipsum accusare not apply in the Singapore law?

Regarding the Raeesah Khan inccident. Did the SPF provide evidence that the police mistreatment of sexual assault victim did not occur? How did they conclude that Khan lied? Because she said she lied? Maybe she was pressurised to admit to something she didn't do?

Why nobody suspect that entire fiasco to be a cover up of the SPF's shameful victim blaming culture which is especially unbecoming in 2021?

PAP then OPPORTUNISTICALLY pivoted it as a scheme to destroy WP?

From the Parti Liyanis case, Shamugam admitted SPF's manpower shortage. From what I know, victim blaming and shaming is one tactic SPF uses to refuse to investigate cases.

This shameful act now is being covered up and attention pivoted to Raeesah Khan's alleged lying and WP leadership condoning that lie.

PAP and SPF are very disgusting.

While you are right to ask whether there was an issue with the police on that sexual assault victim or not.

The problem was that Raeesah Khan pretended it happened to her friend whom she had joined to the police. If he had been upfront and smarter, she had gathered the evidence of that victim and called her in as witness.

However, as to the last reports, Raeesah Khan, she is not willing to identify the alleged victim.

You can draw your own conclusions.

Either there was never any such victim at all or it was hearsay from a sexual assault group session or the victim doesn't want to come out.

Ms Khan was referred to the committee in November last year after she admitted to misleading Parliament over a claim that she accompanied a victim of sexual assault to a police station, where the victim was treated insensitively.

I don't think Khan was pressurised to lie.

If you are talking about the incident whether what Khan says about Pritam Singh is the truth or not, that is another story.

Everyone in Singapore knows that the Singapore Government takes a certain stand to any allegations on any government board or officers. If you allege any false, then please have the evidence on hand.

For a MP it was a bit foolish to utter such allegations, when the victim was not available or is not willing to be available to witness the incident.

In my personal view Khan already had a second chance if you remember her posts during the election period.

She lacked the wit to take a post as MP. She should have staid a backbencher.

Not many people will be willing to admit in public having been sexually assaulted before, what more in this case when that person has to also testify against the SPF's claim or wish it did not occur, gaining their wrath.

The SPF's denial of that insensitive treatment has not been substantiated. They would stand to gain to deny it.

I do not trust the SPF or any of the statements they put out at all. It is abjectly understaffed and filled with wretchedly lazy, stupid, undertrained and irresponsible chao ah gua hooligan officers some more.

Sylvia Lim ‘Satisfied’ With Shanmugan’s Response To Phone Hacking Threat, Will Not Pursue Matter

The police will treat this as a closed case.

WP Chairman Sylvia Lim Will Not Pursue Phone Hacking Incident After Shanmugam’s Response

Last week, Workers’ Party (WP) chairman Sylvia Lim shared in Parliament that she had received a threat warning and stated that her phone could be “the subject of hacking by state-sponsored” attackers.

In response, Home Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam clarified that state-sponsored agencies did not hack Ms Lim’s phone. He also advised her to lodge a police report.

On Thursday (24 Feb), the Singapore Police Force (SPF) issued a statement, sharing that Ms Lim was “satisfied” with Minister Shanmugam’s response in Parliament.

sylvia lim shanmugamSource

She added that she would no longer be pursuing the matter.

Sylvia Lim satisfied with Shanmugam’s answer

According to a press release by the police, Ms Lim met with them on Wednesday (23 Feb) and stated that she was “satisfied” with Minister Shanmugam’s parliamentary response on 18 Feb.

During the meeting, Ms Lim also expressed her desire not to pursue the matter further and did not lodge a police report.

Hence, the police will not be conducting a forensic examination of her phone, adding that they will “treat the matter as closed”.

Shanmugam address phone-hacking queries

Last Friday (18 Feb), Ms Lim stated in Parliament that she recently received a threat warning on her iPhone. She said,

It could be that my iPhone is being the subject of hacking by state-sponsored attackers.

In response to her query, Mr Desmond Tan – Minister of State for Home Affairs – advised the WP chairman to lodge a police report if she had any concerns.

After a short break, Minister Shanmugam directly clarified that state-sponsored agencies had not hacked her phone.

photo_2022-02-24-17.22.46.jpegSource

He also said that Ms Lim should have approached the Ministry of Home Affairs so that authorities could conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

This is especially since she is a Member of Parliament (MP) and, therefore, a potential target.

Hope Ms Lim received proper closure

Receiving a security threat warning is highly worrying, especially in this digital age.

We are confident that the Government and SPF will continue to take such threats seriously and act accordingly.

Hopefully, Ms Sylvia Lim has received proper closure from this event, alleviating any feelings of anxiety that arose from this issue.

4 months' jail for man who molested Scoot stewardess on board flight to Singapore

SINGAPORE - A quality assurance engineer who molested a stewardess on board a Singapore-bound Scoot flight from Cochin, India, was sentenced on Friday (Sept 27) to four months' jail.

Indian national Vijayan Mathan Gopal, 39, who was working in Singapore, has since lost his job.

Reeking of alcohol when he boarded the flight in November 2017, the Singapore permanent resident had outraged the woman's modesty by touching her buttock, placing his hand on her right thigh and cupping her face with his hands.

Content creator Titus Low gets 3 weeks' jail, fine for breaching police order, transmitting obscene material

ST 12 October 2022

SINGAPORE - Content creator Titus Low Kaide was on Wednesday sentenced to three weeks' jail and fined $3,000 for transmitting obscene materials on online subscription-based platform OnlyFans and continuing to access his account despite the authorities warning him not to do so.

Appearing in court in person wearing a dark blue long sleeve shirt and khaki pants, the 22-year-old pleaded guilty to two charges.

They comprised one count each of transmitting obscene material by electronic means, for which the fine was imposed, and breaching a police order barring him from accessing his OnlyFans account, which accounted for the jail term.

Another three similar charges were taken into consideration.

The court heard that Low was investigated for transmitting obscene material on OnlyFans in October 2021.

A man had informed the police that his 12-year-old niece had on her mobile phone a video of Low performing a sex act.

On Oct 11, Low gave the police the password of his OnlyFans account and the primary e-mail linked to it. He omitted to tell them that his account was also linked to a secondary e-mail.

He was given an order not to access the account while investigations were ongoing.

That same day, he contacted the OnlyFans support desk to inform them that his account had been hacked and to ask for assistance to reset his password.

He succeeded in regaining access to his account on Oct 12 and uploaded eight obscene photos and videos on the platform.

Low also transferred a sum of money stored in his OnlyFans account to his friend’s bank account, which was later transferred to him.

On Oct 26, the police tried to access the account as part of its investigation but could not do so. When confronted, Titus admitted that he had changed the password.

The police then warned him not to breach the order again and changed the password of his OnlyFans account.

Low contacted the OnlyFans support desk soon after and was able to regain access of his account.

He uploaded 34 photos and videos, which showed him performing sexual acts.

Members can share adult content on OnlyFans, and Low is the first content creator in Singapore to be convicted of transmitting obscene materials on the platform.

Between April and October 2021, he earned US$240,979 (S$346,475) from OnlyFans, the court heard.

Low's account currently has 208 posts and 338 media files. It is now inactive.

Seeking a four-week jail term and a $3,000 fine, Deputy Public Prosecutor Thiagesh Sukumaran told the court that Low’s actions were premeditated, and he intended to undermine police investigations to advance his financial interests over all else.

“He spun an elaborate story about his OnlyFans account being compromised to deceive the platform and regain access to his account. He also breached the police order more than once,” he said.

Low’s lawyer, Mr Kirpal Singh, asked for his client to be assessed for probation or given a fine as an alternative to the jail term.

He said only adults can access OnlyFans, but it is impossible to prevent content on the platform from permeating social media, such as when a paying subscriber records an OnlyFans video with an external device.

He added that there was a broader issue here, as it is not uncommon for consenting adults to send potentially pornographic materials to each other.

“That in itself is an offence, but no action is taken. For example, if a disgruntled boyfriend threatens the girlfriend to upload the material, then he is charged, but the girlfriend who sent him the material is not charged,” said Mr Singh.

He noted that there is a “certain anomaly as to why Low was selected” but accepted that it was entirely up to prosecutorial discretion.

When Mr Singh asked his client why he defied the police order, Low told him that he had subscribers who had prepaid, and he felt obligated to supply content to them.

His wife, Malaysian influencer Cheryl Chin, who is around three months pregnant, was present in court during the proceedings.

For failing to comply with the order not to access his OnlyFans account, Low could have been jailed for up to six months and fined up to $5,000.

The offence of transmitting obscene material electronically carries a maximum punishment of three months’ jail and a fine.

Titus Facts

1.   The Govt (LHL) once said that films with explicit content can be produced in Singapore for overseas audience, it was in the Straits Times.

2.   Titus's OnlyFans account is an overseas account and rightfully belongs to him.

3.   Titus paid Legitimate Income TAX to IRAS.

4.    That twelve year old girl got that video from her school mates, (yes! most school students already know about internet sexual content! And there are cases of underaged pregnancies )

4.  Titus was not into prostitution, rape, or other sexual assault.

5.   He did not wear a mask to conceal his face.

6.  Thousands of international fans subscribe and paid him almost $200,000 per year, and IRAS classified this as income earned overseas.

7.   Over a hundred other Singaporeans are also producing contents on OnlyFans and also earning good money, and paying good taxes to the govt.

8.   This is an industry which the govt advocated because it generates good income from taxes, and good for the young muscular and fit to produce such content.

9.   This industry is also good for GYM operators as the talents need to keep fit and body build.

10.   If you want to be a high earning Star like Titus, you need to wear a mask to conceal your face just like the other hundreds.

11.   Buy a brand New Car, buy Expensive Watches, buy a condo, open an Ice Cream shop, produce your own Brand of Adult Toys, it is a world wide market from which to earn more.

12.  The first famous content from Poly was that girl bj her bf dick, Titus's content is different.

13.   Now most parents who cannot give money to their kids would want them to earn their own big bucks!!

14.    You can only do what Titus did when you are young and fit!

15.  Join the Gym now!!!

Referring to the guy with the intimate photos having fun with girls isn't this even better?

Wonder when the first guy pretends to be a doctor for male issues and people here send him dick pics.

I just don't understand that women would just send intimate photos to someone they don't even check whether he is a doctor and outside any clinic... 919 pussy pics from girls just send to him randomly to someone posing on Facebook...

(The girls should be punished also for this ...)

Man who posed as gynaecologist to get intimate photos

ST, 26 September 2022

SINGAPORE – A man duped 35 women into sending him photos and videos of their private parts by pretending to be a female gynaecologist from a private hospital.

https://static1.straitstimes.com.sg/s3fs-public/styles/large30x20/public/articles/2022/10/26/mdman26102022_4.jpg?VersionId=pQkAUSyouyAkzyAglvxikC5FPNCTCOhF&itok=2vP00vyq

Ooi Chuen Wei claimed the videos would enable him to diagnose any health issues, so he could provide them with a treatment plan.

Ooi Chuen Wei, 37, was sentenced to 40 months’ jail on Wednesday.

The Malaysian pleaded guilty to six charges of personation. Fifteen similar charges were taken into consideration.

There was no other information given about Ooi’s occupation or personal life.

The court heard that in late 2016, Ooi created a Facebook profile styling himself as “Dr Janice Lee Yan Hooi” from “Gleneagles Medical Singapore”. He used a random photograph of a Malaysian woman as his profile picture.

To make his account seem more legitimate, Ooi added both male and female Facebook friends and created an Instagram and LinkedIn profile using the same name.

After identifying female victims to target, he sent them a message introducing himself as Dr Lee and offered to share a medical plan for breast and sexual health with monthly consultations. He said the medical plan was approved by “Gleneagles Medical Centre”.

He then sent them step-by-step instructions on how to conduct a massage of their breasts and genital areas and asked them to send him videos of them doing so.

Ooi claimed the videos would enable him to diagnose any health issues, so he could provide them with a treatment plan.

Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) R Arvindren said on Wednesday: “This was essentially a telemedicine ruse by the accused. The accused downloaded and saved the videos and pictures after he received them… the victims believed the accused’s elaborate lies.”

DPP Arvindren said that Ooi would avoid speaking to the victims in order not to blow his cover as a female gynaecologist.

Between 2018 and 2021, his 35 victims sent a total of 919 photos and videos to Ooi. The women cannot be named due to a gag order.

Ooi attempted to cheat another seven victims but was unsuccessful.

His offences came to light after one of his victims became suspicious in 2021.

She conducted her own research and realised that there was nobody by the name of Dr Janice Lee Yan Hooi working at Gleneagles.

She lodged a police report which led to Ooi’s arrest on November 11, 2021.

During investigations, Ooi admitted that he knew the victims would feel alarmed and humiliated if they found out he was not a female doctor.

In sentencing, District Judge Luke Tan noted that there was a high number of victims involved and the offences took place over a prolonged period of time.

For cheating by personation, an offender can be jailed for up to five years, fined or both.

Oh, I thought such incidents only happen in Malaysia. haha

Quite embarrassing though for a top 10 university (and take this into relation with the university fees...)

“Bringing Changi’s Jewel installation to you,” wrote one TikTok user.

Sharp-eyed TikTok users were able to identify the lecture hall, which appears to have a history of problems, including an air conditioner that occasionally does not work, and lights that turn on and off on their own.

What singapore site provides the reliable news? Is Stomp a news site or just there to shame?

Why? Someone caught you with something?

Isn't Stomp connected to Mediacorp/SPH?

I think it was introduced as a tool for angry citizens to vent their anger on something going wrong. In that sense it was an early feedback forum to the ministers, who then won time to think about an excuse. Later it transformed to a shame and name everything site. Like if an innocent tourist was wearing a hat with the Singapore flag, but upside down, then the whole Singapore was busy condemning such innocent tourist... forgetting about tax increases.

That was also an achievement intended by the government, the strategy is called : Keep the people busy with petty irrelevant things or create some spectacles causing uproar to distract the people...

Aiyo. You shd ask the police, and apologise to her, compensate for her laundry, trauma. Be prepared to lose her as tenant. I m not lawyer, but doesn't seem like u will get any jail term la, I hope. Misdemeanour charges probably, warning, fine maybe? Make sure u don't ever get caught doing something naughty and thoughtless again.

It should be just trespass .

Fine is 1000 SGD.

But best is you call the officer in charge of your case and ask him on what Sections of the Criminal code they are checking.

From there you will know, what the charges might be. Usually when the police will interview you, they would have a document that states the sections of the Penal Code. Just ask what the offences are that they investigate.

It could be also construed as sexual harassment also, but not sure, if someone not around in the room but only kept on camera, this still would count as harassment.
