Guest DualCitizenship
Has anyone living in another country managed to renew Singapore passport either at the embassy or in Singapore and have passport of another country that allow dual citizenship? Out of curiousity, how is the process overall and can Singapore garmen find out if you hold dual citisenship?
wildfireboy
SG government doesn't allow you to hold dual citizenship if you want to convert to Singapore citizenship. Have to surrender before they accept you...

mate69
It is a (jailable?) offence when you knowingly lie and declare that you do not have a concurrent foreign citizenship (if you do), at the point when you need to go and renew your Singapore passport (On the renewal form, you have to answer if you have other citizenship). May not constitute as an offence but your citizenship (Singapore) may be revoked should you refuse to renounce foreign citizenship by the age of 22. Unless you are <22, then you are allowed to hold multiple citizenships.

Maybe one day our population will become 1 billion....with 99.99% staying in other countries. Those who stay in spore are 99.99% foreigners..just maybe.
