Unless you're exhibitionist but what do you get from showing off your body to a crowd of people who just look... Most gyms from the bigger chains are surely better places to get a hot guy into your room. Check with your current gym membership if it extends to Indonesia and there you go... imm_georgie
This is my third day in Jakarta and I find LGBT life here mostly sad. The reason behind this is that there are not many gay cruise areas, bathhouses or gay massage centers. LGBT mostly rely on apps like Grindr. Meeting via the grindr app is also not very safe, as many reviews mention security, theft, and even trouble by inviting people from the app to guest rooms. Since I'm here I would love to try an Indonesian guy but unfortunately when I tried to search in Grindr I was able to find a Malaysian guy to play with instead of Indonesian guy. Well, I'm still trying to find and hope to meet someone during my stay at the hotel facilities like sauna and steam room. Allowing outsiders to return to the room would not be the first choice as safety always comes first and I can see security being slightly less safe in Jakarta. Even locals do not recommend walking alone on the road but recommend to take a grab rides. I just met one for fun so far during my three days in Jakarta, but hope to meet some good Indonesians to hang out or even fun. The police in Jakarta has been pressuring gay saunas with repeated riots until the last one closed down. The pressure from religious groups is also very high. Indonesia is maybe not Malaysia where the police are simply closing two eyes on what is going on in gay saunas and massage parlours. Strangely, Indonesia doesn't criminalise gay sex but seems a bit more adverse to homosexuality. But open display of homosexual affection is not very common in Malaysia also. I never experienced any theft or security issues from Indonesian locals (and taking them to the room). The only issue you may face is that a guy from an app asks for money later on while during the chat he denied being a MB, but this happens everywhere in South East Asia / China .... But surely, I wouldn't leave my laptop, Iphone, wallet etc openly on display around in the hotel room... I never had any issue in a hotel in Indonesia to meet a guy or bring to the room. The point about taking a grab is that Indonesians don't like to walk. People will say it's too far to walk. Actually, in Malaysia they do the same... I personally walk most of the time at any day or night time (alone) and never experienced any issue at all in any Indonesian city. Maybe you try to venture a bit more but leave your gadgets, Tag Heuer and LV crocodile leather bag at the hotel and dress down. As a Malaysian you should actually blend in well into Indonesia, even if you're Indian, it shouldn't be a problem as Jakarta also has an Indian community. Sorry to disappoint you on saunas or steam rooms. Nothing much will happen there as in the past hotel staff made police reports on locals they caught in sex acts in these locations. I can't take your scare on bringing a guy to your room but I find it extremely exaggerated. Further, you seem to paint every Indonesian guy as a criminal. If you can only trust your own nationals then eventually don't travel abroad. Probably, it is better if you stay in your home turf if you carry such a load of fear for your life and safety and have such negative emotions. I don't think your fears are much justified and my experience of Indonesia is very different. I find your attitude towards Indonesian guys unjust and surely your assumptions not matching reality. Nobody would expect Jakarta or Indonesia to be a gay eldorado like San Francisco or Stockholm... I assume your general overseas travelling experience is not very extensive... Never try, never know. Thank you for your feedback and comments. I appreciate it! I'd appreciate it if you read my post carefully, as I've said that "many" comments in BW think the security isn't that secure. I think you also misunderstood that I never thought of Indonesian the way as you said. I'm just saying I met a Malaysian guy to have fun. But based on your point of view, I can also say that your opinion about Malaysians is the same as what you said about me of Indonesians. I never said that. My posts are based on previous feedback and comments on the Jakarta Forum. Please read the forum in Jakarta, from the first page, "many" mentioned it, not me. I haven't fully explored Jakarta yet, please don't generalize my feedback. Anyway, everyone has different experiences and same goes for you about your experience in Malaysia. Therefore, everyone can give feedback freely here. If you find my post irrelevant, please scroll up and ignore. Thanks. Also, don't generalise about people's attitudes, negativity, and how extensive people travel like what you said. Through a post, you can summarise and assume people's, I would say you are more sad and negative emotions. I am not Malaysian and you are assuming my nationality from your comment. From your profile, I can also tell that you are a typical Singaporean. In my post, I am not talking about Indonesian, but about Grindr. There are many ethnicities in Grindr, so I didn't mention Indonesian. I said a lot of people commenting on Grindr are not safe, there are cases of theft, etc. Inviting people to a room from Grindr may not be safe. That’s all. -End- Edited April 24, 2024 by imm_georgie Carpark B 1 Quote “Fill your life with adventures, not things!” - Have stories to tell, not stuffs to show off -

Popular Post imm_georgie
The Jakarta Experience Millenium Sirih Sauna I went to the Millenium Sirih sauna today and was very disappointed. It's Saturday and no one is inside except for a pool guard and two female guests working out in the gym. So a spa receptionist, a man, came up to the counter. I find him very attractive, handsome and good looking. Then I asked him where the sauna and steam were. He told me here I had entered the wet zone. I saw a lot of wooden lockers, some broken, then a shower area and toilet. Unfortunately I didn't see the jacuzzi, sauna or steam room. I thought I was in the wrong place, but after walking twice, I really couldn't see it. So, I walked out and asked the spa receptionist, he was rarely able to communicate but he tried to make me understand. He said the male jacuzzi, sauna and steam room areas were out of order and were being repaired. So it can’t be used at this point of time. I then walked out of the area and looked at their spa menu. I found nothing interesting and poorly maintained so I called for a grab and left. Also, I don't see too many PLUs cruising. Therefore, the evaluation of Millenium in previous review is no longer correct (new update in 2024). Kempinski Sauna I also went to the Kempinski Hotel Sauna. Upon arrival at the hotel, you can take the lobby elevator to the 16th floor and then change to the elevator on the left to the 17th floor. On the 17th floor, there is a spa desk and a glass door on the right that leads to the swimming pool, gym and wet area. I walked into the wet area which has a changing area, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. But the wet area is too small, same as are the sauna and steam. It's actually a great place to cruise, the only downside is that it's so small and there's no place to have fun. Same goes to the sauna or steam room. Also, didn't see any PLU cruising there. In the end, I have left the place to shop around at the shopping area - the Grand Indonesia. Shangri La Sauna Compared to other places I've been, this would be the nicest, most suitable wet area I've ever seen. The facilities are very standard, the sauna is large, the jacuzzi is clean and large, the steam room is equipped with infrared crystal lights, the changing room is large with proper shower facilities and relaxation area. Saw some internal guests hanging out in the wet area, had to be careful as there were a lot of members around. I think saunas and steam rooms would be the best for enjoying intimate moments, just touch and a quick BJ. Apart from this, it is better to invite to your room or exchange contact details in your own room for a private moment. For a suitably wet area, I'd say Shangri-La would be the first choice. Outsiders can use the wet areas, swimming pool and gym for a fee (Rph 350K-400K). Grindr Apps About Grindr, when you log in, you will have so many people greeting you, saying hello, and even asking for fun? So I've been browsing for a few days, lots of people just looking for fun, but finally, I chatted with a local Indonesian guy and he was very sincere and genuine. I decided to meet him. Yes, we met and chatted in the hotel lobby and because we were both busy, we only met for about 10-15 minutes and then we went off to do our own things. We exchanged contact information and made plans to meet again. In the evening, we met each other again for dinner. We both had a nice dinner together and then we went back to the hotel room for dessert (you know what I mean) and it was a great night for both of us. A sensual evening and wonderful time spent together. Two days later we contacted and met again. This time we went to Plaza Indonesia for dinner and then went back to the hotel for dessert (there was a exercise dessert on the bed in the room). Had another great night with him. Plaza Indonesia The toilets at Plaza Indonesia would be a great place to visit for a cruise, compared to Grand Indonesia, the toilets don't have many attendant stations at any time. The urinals are lower than each other so you can peek over the side. So, I wasn't able to cruise and investigate further because I had dinner with a guy and then went back to the hotel room for dessert. If I do have extra time during my remaining time in Jakarta, I will investigate and share further. I'm definitely having a great time at this point, but most of the effort comes from the Grindr app. PLU doesn't have many cruise locations in Jakarta. Embassy Club | Saturday According to the local Indonesian guy I met on Grindr, he did recommend PLU to visit the Embassy Club (either a bar or a disco) on a Saturday where the theme is gay and for gay. Many people visit and hook up on Saturdays at Embassy. Apple Love Massage Spa This spa only provides door-to-door service (door-to-door service only), they have male and female therapists, you can choose your therapist through Whatapps. Body to body massage is as follows: 90 minutes RPH 750K and 120 minutes RPH 850K. www.applelovemassagespa.com or whatapps the number provided at the web page. Any recommendation to go, hang out near by? Im planning to get the Apple love massage service Oh, I was in that area just some time ago this year! There are some private apartments (not the most upscale very nearby) and also some cheaper Airnb style rental places. (Horison, Swiss-Bel Residence) which has some private operating Massage boys also and locals. (go on the dating apps). At the Epicentrum/ Epiwalk Mall (you can walk along the canal it's about 12 mins/ 700m, if you go from Westin on a shortcut by the car park entry/exit side and not the main entrance) there in the mall is an upscale supermarket in the basement with fresh fruits, bakery and drinks n chips, Keropok stuff etc for necessities. (but it didn't have Tonic Water). Should you run out of Lube and Condoms, near one food outlet at the ground floor is a Guardian. Bluebird Taxis are available in front of the mall for the way back to the hotel if you have heavier shopping bags. At Epiwalk Mall I recommend also the Sulawesi food restaurant (something Rumpu Manado). It is at the ground floor exactly straight to the back. Food is something different but good. Don't go too late though, as they might run out of dishes). Next to it is a cafe/restaurant outlet which has the usual Mie Goreng/ Nasi Goreng fare for some snack in between. Don't go to the Sate Khas Restaurant, it doesn't compare with the other outlets in the city centre, food was below average. There are some nice coffee outlets (non chains) that serve good coffee. Bars (bluegrass bar n grill, and one with live music just around the corner (has a sign with live music)) Best was though: Outside the Epiwalk mall is a Soto Betawi outlet (at the path between Grove-Grand Aston to Epiwalk). The crispy fried chicken was one of the best I ate for a very long time. But has a lot of other options. Near to that place is an interesting Fruit Shake booth ( somewhere opposite). Around the area of Epiwalk are plenty of fancy food outlets. Sure opposite Westin the big street nearby is Kuningan City Mall, but it's a bit like Raffles City Shopping Centre with more Japanese food outlets than local ones and the usual suspects in branded stores. Consider the Grove Suites Grand Aston next trip, it has beautiful rooms, good service and is much cheaper than Westin. haha It is said that the Cruising places in Jakarta are these: 1) Melly Mall (Millenium) 2) Kokas Plaza (Kota Kasablanca) 3) Senayan 4) Miles Pub 5)· Diskotik Moonlight 6) MCD Sarinah (moved to opposite the street) 7) Mall Atrium Senen But I wouldn't waste my time walking around shopping malls, when searching through the dating apps is more successful and speedier than walking the malls... While I saw gays in the malls, but mostly they are with their BFs or in groups with other guys... and probably wouldn't approach you for not being seen as a horny slut in front of their gay friends... 🤣

In Indonesia (and elsewhere) very unusual cheap rates often mean the hotel is undergoing renovations. In such cases I would always write directly to the hotel and enquire. deHybrids2.0
oralb
For those looking at Millennium Hotel, you can seek elsewhere. During the good old days, it was happening as they had quite a good number of non-hotel local members, but when COVID came, membership was gone and now the hotel's spa (if it functions) caters solely for hotel guests. facilities wise, the hotel is in need of a overhaul, hence explained the cheap price for a 4~5 stars hotel. Location wise can be a little weird as while it is near the central area, you will need to take grab to travel there. It sadly stuck on the edge of the city zone so the car number restrictions apply to go to the hotel asiandude and deHybrids2.0 2 Quote When I Think It, I Do It, I Win It! What I heard from locals on the Millennium Spa was that there were too many complaints from hotel guests. Therefore, the hotel placed undercover security (wearing swimming trunks? LOL) to the spa area to catch any "culprits" displaying "indecent" acts. They even reported to the police for "recalcitrant" repeat offenders. Probably, it got a bit overboard when other Hotel Spa's limited access. It is not the first Hotel Spa that took such measures. The decline in Hotel Spa & Gym visitors is more due to the surge of Fitness outlets from the known chains (Fitness first, True, Gold, Celebrity etc) that spread into plenty of areas in Jakarta. Guys don't require to sign up on Hotel gym memberships any longer as there are better and cheaper offers from these Fitness gym chains. CheezyBrief
Heading to Jarkata soon. Are there any places that are just normal sauna/pools and allow nudity. Not looking for cruising, hookups or special massage, just a place to relax in the nude. Mixguy

I assume nobody will stop you if you go nude in a Hotel sauna/spa area, but I have seen hotels in Indonesia where the spa area had glass walls where passerby's on the outside corridor were able to look inside the spa pools (the male one). In such design better not to go nude! If the Spa area is closed up, then going nude shouldn't be an issue (but read the spa/hotel regulations at the entrance first). So the spa sauna jacuzzi steam room areas are shared with hotel guests. Nudity is the norm but some shy guests will wear disposable briefs. Although the attendant will check around regularly for housekeeping and mop the wet floors etc
