Anyone ever tried Ikemenz/Karada? They have a shop in Nichome but no idea where and their website is in Japanese only... so my guess is that they cater only or mostly to Japanese?....

Saw your posting in the Members forum about needing to use Japanese one week later. Can't reply to that thread as I am not a member. Why not try one of the language schools and ask them to arrange intensive sessions over a few evenings? I am quite optimistic that they can do so. But be prepared to spend maybe $80 per hour of lesson.

 

Oh yup, I managed to get a friend who is still in contact with his Japanese Language teacher from uni for a super intensive refresher. I really sound ridiculously retarded when I speak Japanese nowadays. Bloody expensive since it's one on one, but I think it's going to be worth it.

I got the best service ever from karada 2 weeks ago. Location is next to shin-okubo station. The website is in english, no? Other wise i wont understand Ps: the front staff & therapist that i saw were all korean.

I can speak Japanese la. Of course they won't throw this to anyone who doesn't have a decent enough Japanese background.

 

But I think my Japanese standard is was the same level as most English-educated Singaporeans' Chinese. You can speak a bit as you go around, even when you speak with Chinese clients you can somewhat carry a conversation in broken Chinese. If you need a presentation, as long as you have what you want to say it's fine.

 

Its the on-the-spot questions and answers that will make people stumble.

I started in secondary school, I could choose Jap/French/German during sec 1 so I chose Japanese because I couldn't bring myself to remember what's male/female.

 

Anyway the 6 hour lesson was farking tiring and I'm super brain dead now. And I have another tomorrow. Urgh.

Went to 24Kaikan on Saturday.... boring as always lol. Ok fine there were 1 or 2 nice ones.... fit and nice faces. I won't go into details or whatever haha. Chatted with a Malaysian Chinese, a few black guys, lots of older ang mohs who got there later around 9pm....

 

Weather got better when I left this morning though, sunny and blue sky. Enjoy!

Or is the situation really that you were interested but on talking you find that the person isn't actually your cup of tea? Well, we were both standing and walking around and we looked at each other a few times and smiled. You can tell if it's a lustful look or just a friendly look. Then you just start chit chatting... sometimes it leads to more, sometimes it's just small talk.

It's not that hard haha.

Come on, they are nice haha. Maybe they can be a bit more reluctant towards gaijin but to other Asians, they usually would start speaking... until they run out of words lol

 

Ni-Chome gets pretty empty when it rains though... I wouldn't recommend to go out there if the weather is really bad. Those bars are so tiny that most of the times, people stand outside. Of course there are other places, on 2nd and 3rd floors which can still be crowded but from experience, they don't like rain

Thanks for answering. I am somewhat surprised that you keep the 2 worlds separate. Haven't you met anyone who is just too good a catch (or good mutual chemistry both sexual and non-sexual) that you wanted to make an exception for him by making him part of your 2 worlds?

Or perhaps you are very fond of getting fresh hookups whenever you visit Tokyo, and won't want to spend time to meet past hookups even though they are very friendly and want to be your friend?

Actually I don't know if the other party wants to keep in touch either. For example this guy I met last weekend is absolutely sure he is going to get married and have s couple of kids. He is just as sure he is turned on by men and just as sure he is not bi. It is a different way of life and I don't think we can understand it enough to comment. Does the idea of a long term relationship exist in Japan in the way we understand it?

No. Would not mind doing so but I sense a reluctance on their part. I am guessing even the locals do not keep in touch. Perhaps it is the fear of developing something further? Dont know. Let me add my 2 bits worth. Am sure Enelym will have other comments. Sometimes the pure sex element can be boring. I mean one goes up and down the floors and up and down again. If something does happen or not one then goes and have a shower, dry and wet saunas. Over and over again. You look at people, people look at you. Some people have sec up to 3 times or more per visit (not me necessarily :-)). After a while it can get to be quite boring, the sheer repetition.

24Kaikan is not boring when it comes to facilities cuz they have good hot baths, sauna, steam room but it's boring when it comes to guys... depending on your taste of course.

I see that's why you are less inclined to tie some bonds with the guys in Kaikan. I thought you visit Tokyo twice or more each year, and that would be often enough to tie some bonds, but maybe you would have to travel there every other month before you would consider tying some bonds.

I guess perhaps they are super shy or introverted because they are not comfortable conversing in English.

By the way, when you are in Seoul, apart from the sauna and massage, where do you usually hang out? Do you travel to Seoul more often than Tokyo?

Which Kaikan u mean? There is one each at Ueno, Asakusa and Shinjuku. The Ueno one seems to be the one for chubs.

So far from reading this thread, I know Kaikan Ueno is for chubs, Kaikan Asakusa is for mature men. And Kaikan Shinjuku is for younger or fit guys, somewhat like the patrons at Cruise Club.

 

Not too sure where the true gay onsens are. But kaikan should have hot bath facilities.

Really? In Tokyo ni-chome, the sex shops are super friendly and not weird at all. You just walk in as you would walk into a bakery haha.

Some pharmacies sell the Tenga eggs. From the appearance of Tenga eggs, you can't really guess what they are used for, so it is not obscene for them to be openly displayed in pharmacies.

If you are too shy to enter the sex shops, you could visit Don Quijote stores (www​.donki.com/index_en.php). It's kind of Mustafa center with multifloors that stocks Kit Kat, ramen, electronics to costumes for sex role play and of course, in between 18+ corner, they stock Japanese condoms and varieties of Tenga. You could cover your Tengas and lubricants with tons of Kit Kat or 'I love JP' souvenirs if you want. Some of their stores are located in tourist areas and some are open 24 hours.
