I'm not sure if this is the right question to ask in this forum, but is it advisable to travel to Tokyo and Kyoto during May? I read that it is between peak seasons of April and June for tourists but does it also mean that there is nothing happening during this month?

Tbh, I feel May & June are the slow months, and only during July, things start to speed up with summer festivals and fireworks.

The weather is quite warm but the winds are quite cooling.

There is a sort of rainy season in June so you may want to take note.

thank you for your advice. Also, can you also advice if we are able to invite strangers back to our hotels? I read somewhere that many hotels do not encourage you to bring extra guests if you only booked room for only one guest. If so, is there any hotels or budget hotels that allows you to bring back guests?

As far as I know from my travel experiences, it is quite frowned upon at business hotels to invite strangers back but in reality, they are probably going to assume the person's staying for a short while.

If you are not comfortable, consider getting a higher end hotel?

When you say "business hotels", do you mean there are different types of hotels other than the regular types? Sorry, I thought hotels (western style) are all the same whether 3star or 5star. How do we know if it is a "business hotel"?

A business hotel is largely a budget hotel catered to office workers who missed their last train home.

The building is relatively smaller, like a boutique hotel but simple in design.

They won't have facilities like mainstream hotels do e.g. pool, exercise equipment, restaurant etc.

Some may even have shared bathrooms and toilets.

Need some advice.

Disneyland or DisneySea? I can only choose one as apparently you cannot visit two parks in one day/

Also, any cheap and good lobangs for day trip from Shinjuku to see Mt Fuji. I only know of victor.com BUT is it the best deal?

You can try this agency for day trip to see Mt Fuji, departing from Shinjuku:

http://www.yokoso-japan.jp/en/depart_tokyo.html

The cost is quite reasonable but you will be joining the locals there. But you don't have to worry as you will either have a English speaking or Mandarin speaking guide accompanying you throughout the tour (unless otherwise stated).

As for Disneysea or Disneyland, it is a personal preference of what you like to see or enjoy. You may wish to go to the website to take a look at the attractions and events that will be held during the period that you are visiting. Some of the parades are pretty nice especially the night ones.

Enjoy your stay in Japan!

Seems like people are quite curious about MEAT sauna recently.

The local BBS seems to suggest that MEAT isn't that stringent, perhaps weekend may be more stringent. @@

It will take me more than 3 hours from Tokyo to Shin Osaka via Shinkansen. I am wondering will there be free wifi on board?

I tested out the wifi before.

You will need some local provider in order to 'log in'.

Better to rely on your wifi router if you're renting one.

Need some advice.

According to a Disney-crazy friend, if you like family or gentle rides, Disneyland is better.

Disneysea is more adrenaline-based.

Parade-wise, it's more classic to go to Disneyland though Disneysea isn't too bad too.

But what I like about Disneysea is that you can get Duffy the Disney BEAR and carry it around!

Thanks dark flame and gpfun.

Tried buying Disneysea tickets via the official website but apparently needs to have a Japanese to register as member before can buy tickets online.

Stumbled upon a few sites selling tickets in Singapore ... which one to buy from? Any recommendation?

Actually you should be able to buy online from the English website. I tried just now and had no problem. You just need to register as member and then print out the ticket after purchase:

https://reserve.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/ticket/list/

Alternatively, if you are visiting Disneyland / Sea during weekday and not during public holidays, the queue is pretty manageable. During last trip in end Dec 2014 (weekday), the queue didn't take more than 3 minutes to reach counter to purchase tickets.

Also, you can purchase from these agencies in Singapore:

http://his.com.sg/tokyo-disneyland/

https://www.jtb.com.sg/tokyo-disneyresort/

By the way, when are you travelling to Tokyo? I will be there in end May 2015.

Hi gpfun

Will be there from 6th to 11th June !

Thanks for the links!

I guess buying JR pass when in Tokyo is okay too right ?

You are welcome. For most JR passes, it must be purchased outside Japan. As such, please proceed to the various agencies in Singapore to buy (e.g. JTB). You will then need to exchange for the pass with your passport upon arrival into Japan.

Ohh forget to add that only for the USJ tix, valid for entry is by 11th jun 2015.

It's not that you have to be a Japanese to register, but rather you need a local mailing address and phone number in Japan.

Not much difference from the tickets sold on the English site, just that the Japanese site offers more local promotions which aren't that fantastic too e.g. weekday discounts.

JR pass has to be purchased outside Japan but I think the JR East pass can be purchased in Japan. Kinda forgot.

If you are solely travelling around Kanto, the Kanto Area Pass is also quite a good deal.

Tokyo-urisen does not accept foreigners (non-Japanese speaking).  Also, the good looking guys are mostly straight ("massage dedicating") and does not do outcall fun.

You may want to try kids-jp.com/tk/ instead. The receptionist speaks English and you can do incall or outcall.  They also have branches outside of Tokyo, in Osaka, Fukuoka etc.  Do PM me if you have more queries.

Guest happy traveller

visiting Tokyo and had the chance to visit 24 Kaikan @ shinjuku yesterday, way too crowded in the late afternoon!

was washing myself up and two horny men sat left and right of me, the right one kept soaping up his dick and the left one kept washing himself over and over again

visited the room where they played gay jp porn but the beds were filled up; one mature guy ended up molesting me at a corner and another kept rubbing his legs against my legs (hairy unfortunately), before i knew it, one of the 'sleeping' guys started ravaging my butt and fingered me :o

didn't pcc for the whole week due too travelling so i blasted so much cum on the yukata after being involved in a near-orgy..

Generally in Japan, the bigger the facility is, the older it is. Between two stools one falls to the ground.

How about BodyBreath in Shinjuku?

Saw this a little late but Bodybreath is a small nice cosy place. They have rooms with windows for others to see through lol. Rates vary between 1000 to 1500 yen. Note that entrance is underground so it can be little tricky to locate.

24 kaikan is popular with foreigners with great facilities. If you prefer a more local fare over the international buffet head to the smaller ones like bodybreath. Theres also one called ninja in 新宿二丁目 but too cramped for my liking.. In fact theres plenty of bars, hattenbas and aj establishments in this area, think of it as the equivalent of our neil street lol.

One important thing to take note of if you do decide to explore the smaller hattenbas. Some of them have "themes" that are compulsory to adhere to. For example if its one that caters to jocks age 20 to 30, you might be rejected.

There's also a high chance you won't get lucky at hattenba with local fare, if you don't look local. My personal opinion.

Higher chance to get lucky at international buffet places because the locals are more open.
