Andy@Tokyo
Sumo News------------------A BWer also support 朝青龍. So, i thought i share some news that might interest him and peps who support him too. 朝青龍has been dominating the sumo wrestling scene (won over 20 matches, overall, and ranked the 4th/5th in sumo history) for a long time until an injury on his left arm caught up with him. Two years ago, he went back to Mongolia for treatment but was caught on video by the media while he was playing soccer. This triggered some unhappiness and anger with the peps at the Sumo association in Japan and he was banned for 2 matches. After the ban, he kept losing coz he havent recovered from his injuries.. and at one point in time, pep thought that he would be stripped of his top title (called Yokozuna) and retire from the sumo scene.. but he returned this winter. 2009 @ Tokyo, he won (overall) and retained his title. But in his triumph, he committed several other offenses which again pissed the Sumo association off. Check this out Banzai not allowed with sumo wrestler? . Raising of both hands in the sumo ring to celebrate one's victory is not allowed. After the matches were over, he was immediate summoned by the association, but they found him missing from Japan.. Yap, he went back to Mongolia without informing anyone and this was yet another offense. The conflict btw Asashoryu and the sumo association continues... Whatever happens.. i think he is a great warrior and if see him battle at the sumo ring, u would also agree that he is a great sumo to be remembered. Guest Guest
Not too sure about Asakusa and Shinjuku but the guys in Ueno try to not go thru the trouble of asking for and recording passport details. They say something like "You stay in Japan, right?" and a yes to that question will more than satisfy them. Went recently and was asked that a couple of times. Yes and no further questions asked. Quite a good way to operate actually considering the number of foreign guys who go thru that place.

Andy@Tokyo
A short story at the barThis account is from a Japanese daddy who used to stay near Disney land. One fine day, he wanted to show his son the place where Disney land would eventually be built and so they took a walk around that area. At that time, there were only forestation and dirt tracks there and when they came near the beach, the Japanese daddy spotted some men sun tanning naked on the beach.. His gaydar was already on at that time, hence, he quickly lead his son away from the beach. His conclusion was that the area was most probably a cruising ground for PLUs during the early days.I have no idea when Tokyo Disney land was constructed and where it is located on the map and so i did a search. Location MAP and Other info Abt Tokyo disneyland. I assumed that the incident happened more than 26yrs back and I suspected that that after ‘Disney land cruising ground’ closed down, the PLUs moved to another area (west of disney land is Shinkiba 新木場 another famous PLU cruising ground, known to-date) nearby. Cruising places come and go... some lived a short-life, some long. and when one cruising venue closes, another is reborn. Btw, for those thinking of visiting the Hibiya Cruising toilet, it is under renovation..
Andy@Tokyo
Sex under the Sakura trees, anyone?-----------------------------------------------Its time of the year to enjoy the sakura. The forecast says that (in tokyo) the blooming would start from 22nd this month. If that is the case, then the full bloom would be a wk later. i.e. the best time for sakura viewing is end march/first wk of April. Andy@Tokyo
Sakura cont'...------------------------How did they actually do acurate forecast of when the sakura bloom? It was on the news just now: Japanese (the public) actually take pics of the sakura bud and send it (via HP or PC) to the forecast centre. The peps at the forecast look at the bud and with the tempreature forecast known, they predict when that particular tree would bloom. So, through this way, they actually have info of every single sakura tree in japan. there are about 10,000 sakura trees throughout the island. They also said that some sakura trees would start to rot after 50yrs (aging). Therefore, they also have replacement programs running, to make sure that the rotting sakura have replacements.Anyone knows what is the lifespan of a sakura tree? Andy@Tokyo
Hi Jerry,I would recommend 24kaikan in Asakusa. Sumida park (near asakusa) and Ueno park (not much activity now). Try these bar, Okamin and Hayashi in ueno. There are also bars in asakusa suitable for 60s.. like Sumida .. Age group >50sAlso check under this Link Travel DirectoryThere are many info on Bars and sauna.(Jerry: I split the topic)P.s. for those asking for info, it would help if u more details. e.g. state The type (age group, etc) u like. This would help when we give recommendation.Jerry said he is looking for peps of his age group, hence, i assumed that the type he likes or the crowd he feels comfortable in are those in the 60s. It might also help if one mention whether one have any japanese language proficiency or not. Thanks Edited March 10, 2009 by Andy@Tokyo

Andy@Tokyo
Hi Guest, I put up some pics under *Cruising areas in Tokyo*. check the directory pls. The recommended bars under *Japan gaybarsIII* would also be appropriate for ur age group. Language would be a barrier but u would have the good time if the crowd is right. Easiest way to get laid is to head to saunas like 24kaikan or cinemas. Also, i left a guide book for bars/cruising areas with OB. though the book is in japanese, its not difficult to understand. Inside the book, there are maps of where the bars are located, etc. Plus they classified the bar according to age group (which is in numbers) of the patrons and type of peps (bears, etc) that frequent there, etc. Finally, if u are comfortable to meet up, i also do that. i.e. If both our time permit, i dont mind giving some tips over coffee. Andy@Tokyo
Have fun iamwill. Not only economy... Japanese Politics sinks deeper into the dark era? After Koizumi stepped down as the prime minister, scandals plagued the main party (Liberal democratic party) resulting in instability of the Japanese politics. As Japan searches for new leadership, the struggle of power continues between the liberal democratic party and the democratic party (2nd main party in japan). Aso (the 3rd within this 2 yrs), the current PM suffers from low popularity and with his recent bold move to break away from 'koizumi's administration', the liberal democratic party seems to have split into 2 groups. Today, another member from the party, Takebe tsuto (武部 勤),announces his departure from the group. His political blunders aside, i find him cute.. haha check his movies HereOn the other hand, scandals have also infected the democratic party. Their leader Ozawa is under lots of firing. It's in japanese... OzawaFinal note:Me not really into politics but hope that the political scene in japan would turn for the better.. coz' i think that without stable government, Japan's economic recovery would also appear gloomy. Guest jj
Most of the activities were concentrated behind the statue, in the forestation. All those standing/sitting ard the statue were waiting for their 'catch of the day'. Overall, there were only +/-10 people around the area. It was that when i spotted the SM MAN!!!He was in his 50s, of normal physique, ard 160cm tall, clad in dark coat. What drew me to him was his exceutive daddy look. I looked and stared at him but, he does seems to be interested.. well.. I went on to survey the area.Hi Andy, love your reports because I can't afford to go. Too expensive.Errr the whole point of SM MAN is that he wanted to be raped. If you liked him, just rape him as you like.My friend who had gone Japan said many of those executive daddies are damn kinky and slutty. At Ueno 500yen Cinema, he said one handsome daddy bend over the wall and men lined up to screw him. Unbelievably handsome like a movie star. He said many of those executive daddies only do this occasionally when the stress got to them and they snapped and went sex crazy. He said the Japanese even has a term for that because they were whispering that to each other and a line formed. Don't know maybe he's exaggerating or not. Edited March 14, 2009 by Andy@Tokyo
Guest guest60s
hi andy, found ueno500 after walking round the block. it was showig boy/girl sex without frontal nudesit was unbelieveable. everyone goes there with sex in mind and doing it without restrain.the cinema starts at 11am and by noon, all seats were taken and the walkways were so congested that one can hardly move around. everyone was groping. some were sucking away in full view from light of cinema screen.the audience were mostly 50up. surprising, some in 70s and above were also sexually activeand capable. my friend with me had someone sucking him and each of his hands were holdingon to a prick. it was indeed an experience of a lifetime.one point is the most of the audience are good looking daddies who went there unhibited. oralb
tks Andy for reminding me of the fun times in Ueno and 500yen shop.was told the Ueno portion no longer as happening due to they cut the bushes thinner. When I was there, you couldnt imagine so many exec men inside there. One time good about them was whenever a pair is doing, the rest would just watch and not join in.Also even if you are not his type, they would let you touch a bit and gently shake their head. As for the non AJ places, you can use this website as a starting point for the sights to visit:http://www.jnto.org.sg/In addition, you can also visit their office in Hong Leong building at Robinson Road 15th Floor during office hours from 9am to 5pm to collect maps and brochures on the various sights in Japan. There are quite a lot of brochures you can collect there. In addition, if you have questions on the places or transportation, the staffs are pretty helpful. Would suggest that you get some information there and post specific questions on the sights and am sure that BWers here will be more than happy to provide more info. gpfun
There are a fair bit of discussion under the Traveller Hut in BW. There are some gay places that prohibit foreigners, especially saunas and video cruising boxes. However, most of them are becoming more open to foreigners or at least Asians. Guest very senior guy
Hi, Anyone knows about the Gay Scene in Tokyo? Where to go? Saunas? Bars? heard the Japs are not as welcoming to foreigners. Is that true?Need some help. Going to Tokyo soon.it is not as daunting as one imagine. every thing is easier than imagine.just return fm tokyo, had the same reservations before i left.did not experience adverse reaction at all. on the contrary, all were extremely helpful.a small comment is that go to the 24 which cater for your age group if you want the attention you seek.(24asakusa for very senior, 24euno for the not so young, 24 shinjuku for the very young)
Andy@Tokyo
Main concentration of PLU activities (bars, saunas) are in shinjuku (Young), shinbashi (suits), ueno (mature) and asakusa (more mature). Shibuya is also another area to explore if u are into younger crowds. Generally, depending of the type one likes one head for different place. note that the classification above is in general. My comment on bars: if u get to the right bar, the chances of one getting picked up is higher. I think that video box are not as prohibiting as saunas to foreigners. (Gp, i surveyed 4 VB after u told me about it. Not really my cup of tea.. but would let u know more when u come. hehe) Do read the other posts about tokyo. Andy@Tokyo
What i have recommended, i have written in this hut. I also meet BWers, if both our time permit, and advise them over a coffee..For PLU places, it mainly depends on the type u like. If those recommended places doesnt suit ur taste, i guess u have to do a search online. I have also mentioned the guide book several times. (In japan, they publish PLU guide book that contains map and general info. e.g. age group, type of crowd, etc. dont really need japanese language to figure out, but u need to be able to read some chinese characters or numbers) I posted one copy for BW. Pls contact OB for the book. otherwise, u can buy when u come japan. Sry, i dont know abt gay onsens and PLU info on the western parts of japan. Regarding food, what is 'reasonable price' to u?If u are on budget, u can just buy bentos from the convenient stalls or supermarkets. Otherwise, u can take ur meals at yoshinoya, sukiya, tendon (400-1000yen). These are the chain stalls with food priced at the lower end. If u feel rich, then just enter any restaurant u like. If u dont understand japanese, u might wan to visit those places that have pics on their menu. This would help u during the selection. I would appreciate if u do some reading up first. Guest Guest
On other matters, I think it is better and easier to get YEN notes in Singapore. I do know that the banks accept Singapore and US dollars but I think their rate might not be as competitive nor would you be able to find "money changers" the way you would easily find them in Singapore. There are a couple in Shinjuku sort of one street behind where the main crossing is. Hard to describe, sorry. Also, still on the matter of cash - the larger establishments accept credit cards but by and large, many places still deal with cold hard cash so yes, do carry some cash with you. You will need to find a way to secure the cash where you are staying. If there is a safety box, use the safety box. I normally travel with something that I can lock in addition to my locking my suitcase when I go out. On the whole, the Japanese are very honest people but I have heard of people who have stayed over in capsule hotels and who have had money stolen out of their wallets. I find that food is never a problem. If you really cannot find something that agrees with you and if you are in an area where there are no cafes or restaurants, the convenience stores normally carry quite a bit of food. They will have things like sandwiches and cakes and bento boxes of spaghetti and rice. You can ask for the bento stuff to be microwaved - they even provide chopsticks and forks so yes, you will never go hungry in Tokyo, not if you have cash! By the way, if you are looking for the cheapest way to get from the airport into the city, take the Keio limited express. It will cost you 1000Yen to go from Narita into Ueno. Not sure where you are staying. Cheap does not mean bad in Tokyo and cheap also does not mean really cheap in Tokyo. I hear that the Washington in Shinjuku is having good deals now. Try them or ask a travel agent about them. If you want to get a cheap place to stay, check with OB, our local 500Yen cinema expert. Have fun. Guest Frankie
Plan on going to 24 Kaikan next month. Can you check your link please as I'd love to see your photos. Also, are there cross-dresers at ay of the other 24 Kaikans like in Ueno?Help!Frankiewow ... finally I gave in and met her in the asakusa 24. it was a fabulous night, she was much more convincing than she looked in the pictures. Looking forward to the next meeting  (appearantly she's also)here we took some pictures for you to enjoy.http://www.fotofap.com/public/viewset/31884One weird thing though. When we were drinking some beer at the snack bar, people were not kind to her much (and generally elsewhere). Can you check your link please as I'd love to see your photos. Also, are there cross-dresers at ay of the other 24 Kaikans like in Ueno?Help!FrankieHmm.. I thinkt it should be pointed out that the crossdressers are not in the Ueno 24 Kaikan but are in the Asakusa 24 Kaikan, near the Sensoji temple. The Ueno 24 Kaikan is where you can normally find the middle aged Chubs\Gmen\Bears and their chasers.
Andy@Tokyo
Japanese star found naked in a park-------------------------------------------Not sure if anyone is familiar with the group SMAP. One of their hit songs 『世界に一つだけの花』 and maybe one of their group members, 木村拓哉(きむら たくや), is better known overseas. Anyway, one of them is found naked at a park in Roppongi. Apparently, he was drunk. Kusanagi 草なぎAn artist has the responsibility to up hold his public image and apparently, many people are not sympathetic towards his misbehavior. Sponsors redrew their contracts with him. Advertisements engaging his appearance were also canceled. While one could understand why these actions are taken, one particular sponsors made a public statement on TV that fueled my disgust to them. In essence, a representative said that his actions cannot be tolerated and that he would not be forgiven. I think that this particular remark made were too harsh. -------------------------------------------------------------------The person who made that remark is actually a politician. Later, he apologised for the harsh statement he made. Edited April 26, 2009 by Andy@Tokyo

gpfun
What is the procedure for 24 Kaikan? I understand that one needs to know this before being allowed in. How similar is it to our saunas?Basically, if you are going to 24 kaikan, they welcome foreigners so long as you observe the rules. Append is a brief write-up on the "procedures" which I have prepared for a friend earlier. Hope that you will find it useful. Generally, it will apply for most Japanese saunas as well:Once you have arrived at 24-kaikan, just proceed up to 2nd floor (reception area). At 2nd floor entrance, take your shoes off before stepping onto the carpet leading to the counter. Put your shoes in a locker with a key, add a 10 yen coin, close the door and remove the key. The number that you taken are the locker number that you will be assigned. Do not put shoes in locker that have Chinese words that reads something like “private room” (words in red). Go towards the counter and on the left, there is a vending machine. Put in 2,600Yen and select “General Admission – 2600 Yen”. Collect the ticket and change (if any). If you are staying overnight at Ueno, it will be 2,800 Yen (for 14 hours stay) after 9pm. On the right where the counter is, give the attendant your shoe locker key. The attendant will give you a plastic bag with your towels and robe, as well as a wristband with your locker key. He will say something in English like “Namae Wa….?” This is to ask for your name, you can just reply like “Lee”. (meaning that your name is Lee”). Next head in to the locker room to change. You can either wear the towel or the robe. The shower is up one level, while the "play area" on subsequent floors The sauna does not provide condom and lube readily (though they do provide a complimentary condom if you ask for it at the counter), so be bring some if you intend to have anal fun. For shinjuku, the admission fee is 2,600Yen for 13-hour stay. If you exceed, you will need to pay 200 Yen per extra hour. Be sure to return all towels and robe in this same plastic bag when you leave, together with the waist band. The cashier will give you the shoe key to take your shoe back.Have a great time in Tokyo! Andy@Tokyo
A Variety show featuring this group of popular singers called Arashi was broadcasted last weekend. There are 5 members in the group and the public impression on each individual member was surveyed. 100 peps were randomly selected for each question.e.g. Question: Which among the 5 would you take into your company and nurture his talents? The other question caught my attention..Which among the 5 would take as a boyfriend? (This question was posed to the PLUs) LOL. They then show the actual interviews with the PLUs and asked why was their choice as such. The most popular singer to the PLUs was ranked last in the former survey. Can u guess which one of them is the most popular among the PLUs? Pics of the singers are available at the following link. horus1818
This is my first time in Blowing Wind Forum but I am laready enjoying the discussion on Fundoshis. Just two weeks ago, a Japanese colleague brought me a gift of a white fundoshi with blue dragon motifs. He also helped me tie the fundoshi and I had a hard time staying NOT hard. In the end, I gave in and my ole stood at attention, making it extremely difficult for him to tie around my hard-on. Wish, there is a fundoshi bar in Singapore or even a small party for us to meet. Thanks .
