29-30 years old but look like late 30's.

Everytime I used the age filter in jackd and grindr I get a nasty surprise, so many sg gay guys in their early 30's look like in their 40's! Is it due to too much partying and alcohol that cause them to have the uncle look (balding, wrinkles, bad skin) or is it bad genes?

For straight married men I understand because they have family and children pressure causing them to age and become fat fast, but no excuse for gay men to look so bad!

I think prolonged smoking and a lack of sleep are two very big culprits.

Also, for guys whose job requires them to spend a lot of time under the sun, that will make their skin (and hair) age very fast.

Also good to maintain a healthy weight so that the face skin is taut and supple. If the guy tends to overeat, the face will get very puffy and that will make them look much older than their real age.

So when they are in their mid-30, they end up looking like late 40s.

A lot of Manhunt contestants are guilty of that. If you follow them on their social media, you can see some of their physiques (and face) really deteriorate after the competition by over-eating and not exercising. Likewise with some Mediacorp male celebs and ex-celebs.

So need to put in effort to maintain.  :D

Last time I crushed on this cute 25yo guy and went for a few dates. But he didn't seem to want me. Fast forward 5 years later, omg he looks uncle when I saw him with his bf at pinkdot. Glad he didn't accepted me or I'm stuck with  chao lao uncle face.

Blessing in disguise for me totally and my current bf always tell me how his colleagues find him 4years younger than his real age

Most gay guys who pass a certain age will LIE about their actual age :)

Don't discount many of them are not telling their true age.  Some of them could be in their 50s.

1.  You must be very good looking that looks exactly your age or younger

2.  You believe everything on line ?

Heavy clubbing , lack of sleep could be a cause, similar to late app cruising after 1am or real cruising at some of the famous locations at such auspicious ghost timings... I m actually always very surprised to still see so many guys chatting on plu apps at night times after midnight...until 6am...

In my country we have the saying:

"You can never catch up missed sleep..."

You need photo and people to support the case study that I'm not lying? Some of my straight army friends haven't reached 30yo already very uncle look.

Up to you to believe but I'm sharing what has happened in real life. I don't need to sour grapes because I'm happily attached for 4years. I sure I'm not the only one with this classic case of blessing in disguise. Some men just don't age well. Cruelty of life, especially in gay world where looks count a lot.

It doesn't help that in my neighbourhood there's a higher gay population of a darker skin race who are mostly fat. Is it really so hard to go to the gym? Those lazy ass must be stuffing themselves with junk food everyday(several fast food joints nearby) and then emo in grindr that nobody wants them lol.

I 've seen a lot of fat Singaporean Chinese here. just wonder why you need to mention darker skin here. It's always easy to hit on certain ethnics correct???

To live in the "fast lane" has its drawbacks, and one of them is premature aging.  This includes the case of hunks with big muscles who later in life from muscular change to obese.

I always suffered the lack of "fast lane" and missed out on partying and glamour, but now as a senior I reap the benefits.  Not only in good health, but also in not being (and looking) worn out.  Since my 60's I noticed a strange phenomenon:  while younger I always tried to hide my real age,  now I look forwards to opportunities to tell that I am in my 70's , and I like to hear reactions of "oh, you cannot be".

It is not only sg gay guys. Having looked over a lot of the apps for some time in several countries, I am amazed at the pretty dismal photos of a lot of guys. Either they look older than the age they profess to be. Or the pics are too dark to see properly. Or they have full body photos in the distance so you can't make out any proper features. Oh - and one more. They rarely show smiles or project any positive image. Don't these guys realise that a photo speaks volumes about them? A good properly-lit face photo with a touch of back-lighting, perhaps slightly side-on and with at least a hint of a smile and a twinkle in the eye is easy to take. If you can't do it yourself, get a friend to do it for you. On the apps your photo is after all your primary marketing tool. Your stats are secondary. If those looking at a site don't like it, few are going to hit on you. As the old saying goes, one good photo is worth more than a thousand words. A series of them is incalculable! You will be a star! LOL

Can ask at what age does kkj stop getting erection? Can a 70yo still get hard? If cannot get hard then will you still masturbate or how do you satisfy your sexual needs?

hahahhaaaaaa..... only 4 years.

Most of the ppl guess my age wrongly. Usually they guess my age 10 years younger.

They are shocked when i told them my real age.

Yes, sleep.  It's the time where the body repairs and rejuvenate.  Lack of sleep make you look old and spent.

He's 30, so 4years off his real age is a lot :P

10years younger is a very very bold statement. I've never seen anyone looking a decade less his age, maybe chuando but still haven't seen him irl to conclude. It's akin a rare diamond.

Then you need to be as good as, or better than how the photo looks. Otherwise the other party will feel cheated

I think you may have misunderstood my meaning. I'm not suggesting tarting up photos so that you look different or younger. There's zero point in doing that for the reason you mention, It's just that so many guys seem to take no trouble at all in the photos they post. If the photo looks dull and boring, why should anyone find it interesting? If it has a smile or even a slightly sexy look, of course it is going to attract more viewers. That's just plain marketing.

Your judgment is subjective.

You cannot make a 12 y.o. look 10 years younger, like a baby.

It is very difficult for a 25 y.o. to look 10 years younger.

It is possible for a 40 y.o to look 10 years younger, like a 30 y.o.

It is easy for a 70 y.o. to look 10 years younger, like a 60 y.o.

The older the person, the more the TYPICAL look depends on society's life style.

It is estimated that we could live until 120 years under optimum conditions.

It is difficult to know how a perfectly maintained body looks over the years, because there are so few of them.

And...  if you add all the modern means to look younger, people can look surprisingly younger than their chronological age.

A healthy 70 y.o. can surely get hard.  It may not happen as fast as in a 20 y.o. but there is no impediment to get hard and orgasm.

I am in my mid 70's and have no problems masturbating to several orgasms a week.   I don't know at what age this will change.

I was never promiscuous, and masturbating has always been my most common way, together with a good imagination full of fantasies.

Here is where good health helps.  Prostate problems at old age can ruin the best organ, especially if prostate biopsies are made.

Difficulties urinating can be caused by an enlarged prostate, and remedies of natural herbs can fix them.

We should aim to keep the lawyer, the priest, the doctor and especially the urologist far, far away  :)

Didn't know 70yo still can pcc several times a week. That's something new. Seems like you're in the pink of health. Do you have partner? You guys still have sex?

I have been living with my friend for over 20 years.  At the beginning there was some sex, but the relationship evolved to where we are now soul mates.  I cannot imagine anything better than this :)

Soul mates without sex? I guess that's fine too since the horny lusty thoughts would've subsided when one is 70yo

Keep lawyers and priests away to avoid getting involved in lawsuits and hooked on questionable dogmas,

and keep doctors away to avoid unnecessary treatments  (all this advice is relative and not too serious...)

The best organ is the one you have when it functions well, with good erections and ejaculations,  and then

one good day the PSA number from your health tests is high.  If you have also some problems urinating,

a doctor will recommend a prostate biopsy to be sure the cause is not prostate cancer (a huge scarecrow thrown on all men)

But then you buy some inexpensive saw palmetto supplements, take them for a while and your urination improves.

But the doctor still leaves the doubt of CANCER!!!

This happened to me over three years ago, and instead of a biopsy I have increased my consumption of anti-cancer foods

and eliminated most foods that are suspects of promoting prostate cancer.  I definitely had an enlarged prostate like many old men,

and the fact that the saw palmetto herbs helped confirmed that.  I have no aggressive cancer since in three years it has no symptoms,

and if I have a mild one like most older men, I  leave it alone.    I will die of something else, some day  :)
