i am right to say that 12 million is 33% of what was collected.

 

that means $36.0 million was bet by punters , but 33.3333% was offered as the prize for gp1, gp2, gp3, g4 gp5, gp6 gp 7 etc etc

The funny thing is Toto punters who looks like rough and tumble types all cowers in front of the toto machine auntie, 

 

you can hear them using the sweetest tone of voice to communicate with toto Auntie even if Toto Auntie  makes a colossal mistake punching in the bets,  while people in the Toto queue stare menacingly at other for cutting queues, somehow in front of the betting machines and their operators, every punter will magically transform into a manja pussycat, in the believe that that last minute show of contrition and meekness will somehow sway the Gods of fortune on the other side of the counter.

 

what an irony, this scene plays out everyday at the outlets, 

 

If only someone had a chance to record the facial reaction of those roaring tigers turn into sticky pussycats just before handing over the betting slips.

The smart one's from the foreign talent will buy a flat in Singapore and save on the low taxes, bring in a whole bunch of relatives to work for their companies....

and will stay here forever. Who would go back to China or the other countries and pay all these high taxes?

Later those people will claim that they always had been true blue Singaporeans after they received citizenship and when they proud themselves (speaking through mother tongue translators) after receiving all those business prizes from Singaporean organisations and fighting those LTA fines and investigations while speeding through Singapore in their fancy luxury cars. If the God of fortune want to visit foreigner here, then so be it... As an individual,  we can only try to create as many chances of winning,  like going to so call lucky places to buy,  buy system 7,  system 12 , join forces with friends and colleagues etc...if win good but no win also doing good deeds knowing that u have contribute to the charity and sponsor a talented sportsman in the process....

I am shaken to my bare bones that so many hardworking and honest Singaporeans are spending and wasting so much moneybon Toto and 4D. All these goes to show that Singaporeans are having a stressfull hard life where the salary singaporeans earn is barely enough to put food on the table thus the wish to strike a windfall to cushion the financial struggle we are facing.

 

I strongly urge all fellow singaporans not to buy Toto or 4D as it will only fatten up the enourmous wallets of the government coffers!

 

I urge all Singaporeans to instead donate to charity and good work towards true ble Singaporeans who are neglected or face hardships.

 

Please donate all your winnings to help singaporeans instead as most of singaporeans are living hand to mouth. Their cris must be heard!

I am totally disgusted by the greed for money. Today, I see endless lines all betting for toto. How much money was wasted towards the toto draw? How many millions upon millions was collected? The draw of $13.6m given must had generated many many times that amount!

 

How many families suffered? How many meals did children lost? How many books, medical, household expense were lost because of money used to bet on toto? I seen hardworking honest singaporeans betting on a hope, bettingn for a better life, betting for a stress free life, betting for a life in the most expensive country in the world.

 

If only the government is willing to seriously up the salary of singaporeans, giving us a sense of security, give us a sense of financial security, low cost housing, free education, free medical, bring down cost of food, transport, we will be free from then clutches of toto!

Compared to other countries the local laws on toto are quite restricted.

 

In Europe, there are Toto bets with winning prizes for 100 mil Euro, the standard one is about the amount the toto had after Chinese new year but on a weekly basis.

 

And you never said anything about the money lost at the both casinos here. I did not see you standing in front of any of both with a Placard trying to persuade people not to gamble their hard earned money away.

 

At current, I don't think the majority of Singaporeans would want Singapore to be a social welfare state. Then I don;t think that local salaries are on the low end at least for the past 5 years salaries for Singaporeans have risen sharply upwards. Yes, there are still people who do not earn so much but in general the salaries increased here.

 

The people will never stop wanting to be millionaires... meaning they will still play toto if they earn what Prime Ministers earn in Singapore on a monthly basis...

Hi, do you know where to place toto bet where I can surely win big time? I’m desperate to win so that I can buy my own place and move out because my family can’t accept me for who I am. It is really hard to be gay nowadays. My past 2 BFs left me when I was lay off from work also. Now I got another job but can’t trust to have BF again as I dont have so many money. “Friends” only call and meet me and ask me to treat them. If no treat, they don’t show. Doesn’t bother to check if I’m ok. I see them having fun and watching movies together in FB, IG. Didn’t ask me to go. Sometimes i feel that they befriended me only because of money.

It's a chicken and egg question here. Some shops were relatively low profile and attracted more crowds only after a higher frequency of winnings occurred.

Actually, the difference is not in which outlet you buy from. Some Toto outlets are more crowded simply because there are more office workers who work around the area.  :P

who is going to risk life and limb to mine for underground coal, mine for blood diamonds, blood gold, blood jade,  who is going to dig underground mrt tunnels, if  workers are paid too

I bought before a small pendant with a very small 4 leave clover inside. but never did I struck any 4D or TOTO

but why the owner never keep the clover themselves. They could win big and never have to open and manning the shop and farm and could travel the world already.

Oh i see. Don't worry. Different people will get different type of luck. And it also depends on the person's state. Somebody ever said that when you pray to strike 4D or Toto, the being(s) you pray to will analyse your life and see whether you should strike or not, or whether you have more urgent needs that should take precedence. So it will depend on several factors. E.g. if you are already financially comfortable, then it's less likely that you will strike.

Or if you always verbally-abuse your family members or office staff, then you also won't strike (not saying you are like that  :) but just that I read before).

 

The one i bought was a six-leaf clover. It's about a 50c coin size which i kept in my pocket. Then one week later my boss suddenly told me that he wants to promote me! I was shocked!
