Is there any recommendation for VPN or how to solve this? As to my knowledge Grindr is not blocked in Malaysia. But I know your issue. Grindr is very extreme in loading the app, meaning it takes quite a while until all functions are fully loaded for use. If the profiles are not visible then there is a connection issue with Grindr, it can't read your location. May I assume that you use only 4G? What you can do is the following: 1) First, after opening the Grindr in JB, go to the Location button and switch it off. Switch it on again after 5 - 10 seconds, thereafter close Grindr and reopen it. 2) If it didn't help the next step would be: Fully shut down your phone (Switch off not restart), restart your phone after it has fully shut down. Open Grindr, do the step under 1) , close Grindr, reopen it. Any VPN will slow down the opening of Grindr therefore I would recommend to you not to use any VPN in Malaysia. However, depending where you log into the wifi, I have experienced hotels or places in Malaysia that provide wifi networks with blocking functions on certain apps or has filters (like you can't open Blowing Wind there). Some shopping malls in Singapore do the same and don't allow certain apps as they need too many resources on their wifi. Moderators may move the query and my reply to the Technical help thread. The wifi maybe was too slow also (like just some MB allowance) that is too little to run Grindr. Profile pics would not be visible.
singalion
Recently there is this surge of the fake scam boys on Grindr. I am getting 5 - 10 approaches the day from these scammers who "search friends and relationships". Ads are getting more and more annoying also... The latest is that once you intend to reply to a message, it will be directly blocked by an ad that you need to watch first.
