sigh3978
So now that Tumblr is on its way out.... any alternative sites people can suggest for our naughty needs? :-P
Cernunnos
Decentralized social media via Mastadon with software codes fully open sourced. You can either host your own Mastadon server, rent a ready made server and host it as your own or join someone's Mastadon server. If you host your own server in the Cloud, you set your own rules and your content would be accessible from other Mastadon servers making it very difficult to shut down and censor. It can be accessible over the Internet with a normal web browser as well or a smartphone app for both Android and iOS phones. The user experience is very similar to Twitter. Guest Make That Move Right Now
I have a strong feeling that Twitter will ban erotic content soon, as well, so don't get too comfortable there. Mastodon seems extremely complicated. Hopefully the people who posted that they were creating a new site called Cumblr will pick up some momentum soon. Tumblr users need something similar, rather than switching to something completely different, and at least Cumblr is an easy name to remember, sort of like the erotic version of Tumblr, so they have that going for them at any rate. Cumblr as a standalone single purpose and non-distributed system would face the same fate as Tumblr when censorships would be forced onto a single and centralized system with a single minded use case (i.e. for adult content). It becomes much more attractive and easier to censor and build digital fences over such centralized systems. Whereas Mastadon itself is a decentralized system made of a bunch of federated and distributed systems which synchronizes between each servers (you can have access to other server's public message boards called statuses and communicate with other people on other servers). The complexity is also taken out of the user's hands because the actual interface is rather user-friendly with the ability to post NSFW contents and thus users reading your adult posts get to choose to "open" the content and view or not. The technology part is for those interested in the privacy enhancing technology it provides (i.e. software developers).
ckson
Starting yesterday, I’m seeing porn being brought back into Tumblr. Videos etc. Example is posting by arararhkhk. Maybe Tumblr is quietly reversing policy. awolonline

Tumblr can't possibly have enough staff to immediately delete every post that violates their new policy so the pace of removals will inevitably lag behind.
